It's not that I didn't read the description and the measurements, but when I received the item I was still in awe. I was amazed at how beautifully packaged the castle was! The castle seemed to be in perfect condition. The only thing I would say is that the surfaces do feel a little rough and I plan to sand them before I set up my next tank with this piece, but that's nothing compared to what is an absolutely While I can see the dimensions, I always worry that either they'll be too big for my tank or not big enough - it is very frustrating purchasing items for my tank online. This seems to be the perfect fit for my growing bottom feeder. Fish like it because it is a nice looking decoration. It needed to be sanded before I put it in, so I did not give it a 5 star rating. The openings are sharp with jagged edges, as well as the interior. The interior walls had pointed pieces sticking out of them. By breaking them off with a hammer, I was able to remove them. Why they would design a tank decoration that may injure the fish is a mystery to me. The rest of it is fine with me.

Amazon handled it well and sent me a replacement piece. My favorite Harry Potter book is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Those are the themes I wanted for my tank, but they don't sell much HP merchandise, so I decided to use this castle as the closest thing to remind me.
