My two chihuahuas are 8 lbs. each and 7 years old I can't ever find appropriate dental treats for my 3lb dog who has very small mouths, so I decided that these would be great I am thus deeply disappointed because the false advertising of "soft" has led to this.
My "teacup" chihuahua is only 2 years old, I brush his teeth weekly, but he broke off a canine and chipped another tooth on a rawhide bone once In light of his fragile mouth & gums ( I was surprised at how hard these felt in my hand Even with my teeth, I broke a piece with just a dent. I attempted to break it off with my teeth (like you would a carrot). I hurt my teeth and my mind was blown (as shown). I finally went to the manufacturer's website & did a search for the brand I wanted There were similar reviews that these were very hard to handle or not well received by the dog buyers. Although I had no intention of feeding these to my dogs, I was intrigued by the prospect of having them try these. The dogs wiggled their tail until they gave the treats a second sniff and lick, but then they turned their heads to walk My only positive observation is how cute it is that they come in various shapes.

For my 15-pound Chihuahua/English Shepherd mix (he's five months old), I got the puppy ones. I found chunks of undigested food in his stool the next day, but he doesn't seem to mind. He may just find them too soft to chew, in which case the adult sizes might be too small for him to be able to get large chunks, but I was pretty disappointed to find that they're not very.

I like these a lot. They are a big hit with my 6 month old Pom. He still has a few baby teeth to loosen, because his adult teeth have already come in. One of these has given him real trouble, because the other has given him real trouble. These are not too hard, nor are they so flexible that I feel worried they'll break his little teeth. . . He is a very aggressive chewer due to the fact that he is a tiny dog. Furthermore, I like the shapes when I print them. What a cute little puppy.

On Amazon, the "size" selector only shows 14 items rather than 20, as indicated by the Medium size package. Currently, I have puppies that are just over 3 months old, and are black lab/pitbull mixes. It was evident that they chewed the small size treats aggressively and swallowed them in large pieces. Their small size made it impossible for me to hold on to them while they chewed. In their puke, there were pieces that had been half digested. Since I had purchased the medium size to see if they might be able to bite it in half and swallow it, it should slow them down a bit. Definitely a keeper, but I amn't sure I would purchase them again since I am trying to keep their teeth healthy. It'll be interesting to see how things go.

The first time I ordered these, my puppy loved them and they did seem to help freshen his breath a little. But when I reordered them, he didn't seem to like them as much as before. In the beginning he was not interested in them (he was teething, so it could have also affected it) and then when I looked into the bag, I noticed there was only a duck shape inside whereas last time it had been a mix of both. An animal. The puppy did notice something had changed when I got the bag. I don't know if they changed the recipe or if I received a faulty one, but something had changed.

The pup we have is a mini breed puppy, 12 pounds at six months, and he gets aggressive. His preferred chew is a softer treat instead of them, as he finds them too tough. It is not his favorite thing to chew on, and he has a very strong bite and most of his adult teeth are in.
