Questions & Answers

Can the dog be kept silent at night with it?

The purpose of this is not to keep dogs silent, but to train them to come and whatnot by means of treats.

There are two cats in my home, and a little barking neighbor rat dog that its owners don't seem to get rid of. The whistle will it affect the hearing of cats? Can dogs be the only pets?

Neither the cats nor the owner will be bothered by it. We used the whistle to calm our neighbor's dog while he was barking, but it only lasted for a short period of time. As soon as he calmed down, he was once again barking. I am using this whistle as a training tool It is a great training whistle, but it is not a siren.

Does an elderly dog that's mostly deaf have any chances of hearing this whistle and responding to it?

While dogs can lose high frequency hearing if they receive hearing damage, humans tend to lose high frequency hearing first. Dog whistles have high frequencies, so that is why they are referred to as "dog whistles."

I would appreciate any help you can provide! The chain turns and makes it impossible to remove without twisting the cover, so how can you get it off? In 20 minutes, I have not been able to solve the problem. ?

Pull it apart, like the lid of a text marker/pen etc., but be careful not to unscrew it. There's a screw in it This is because the whistle should be deeper or higher pitched (deeper or higher). Thank you for your time. I hope this

It does not perform the way I expected it to
3/5

As of January, I have moved into this new apartment. A week or so after my neighbor's dog started barking all night, I started hearing her. The whole lot. It is NIGH. A LONG time. Barking, not just barking, but barking that sounds like it has something to do with a dog Translate this into It sounded screeching. Translate this into It sounds like a howling It has a bark that says "I will destroy anything within a mile of me," and then passes that message to all living things within that radius. I stumbled around in bed at night for the first couple weeks, fantasizing about all the horrible things that might happen to it, for instance Could a piece of space trash land directly on the surface of earth if it plummeted into it at thousands of miles per hour? Perhaps a better alternative would be It might be hungry enough to choke to death on the bones of that rooster at dawn who starts crowing two hours before the sun rises! There is a throat shared by two birds. In my neighborhood, I have a number of neighbors As animals, they would be very feral in nature. Therefore, it would make sense if their dog were equally feral as well. The landlords assured me as soon as I complained about it offhandedly There is a heat wave. Ok, so this will pass. " Oh, well, it's a given! It didn't pass. Spoiler alert it failed. A bitch from the neighborhood (and, just to be clear, that is an appropriate linguistic term) barked every single night for four months straight. It just so happens that the buck had a litter of puppies recently! I'm so glad! It's a whole chorus now! Perfect! I was hoping for something like that. Since the response from everyone around me has been, "Well, it's a dog, what can you do?", I apologize. Let me share an idea with you, and please hear me out Isn't it better to keep it in your home My goal in buying this whistle is to find a humane way to deal with the constant barking of the dog. I'd rather take one of those blow guns I made for Gilligan's Island and have it fire poison tipped darts at them than by hand. I thought that this whistle was advertised to work "up to 400 yards," so I figured it would cover the 100 or so feet away from my bedroom window where the nightly performance takes place just fine. However, spoiler alert #2 This is what actually happens I don't think so! I don't understand how this device is supposed to be used as a pet training device. It's supposed to serve this purpose, but it's hard to understand. A superb instruction sheet is enclosed with this item that explains how to train a dog, and includes such brilliant advice You can reward it if it does what you tell it to. (Thank you for that outstanding advice, Dr. However, it does not explain *how* to use the whistle in the It is so difficult to imagine how that would work. It should agitate them, cause them to stop what they are doing, and pull them into your attention, shouldn't it? One last spoiler alert it doesn't do anything with In addition, while it is a very nice design, it is an exact copy of a much lower priced one. I mean exactly what I say when I say From the packaging's very fonts to its color! From the factory where they're produced, it's obvious they're the same. Drop shipping is taken to a whole new level with this service What do you think it's about? Is it Whatever the case may be, ACME. Like all of poor old Wile E. , he was not able to hold up his head. Those were the instructions given by Coyote The entire experience was a waste of time and.

A barker, who was incessant, was quieted by it
5/5

One of our neighbors bought a puppy and forgot to train it because he is hard of hearing. As a result, the aforementioned puppy chose to bark incessantly every time we went into our backyard, out of earshot of its owner. Despite the fact that we were "friends" with the puppy while on his side of the fence, and despite the fact that we attempted to send treats through the fence as bribes and to remind her of our friendship, she still refused to cooperate. On the off-chance that this whistle would be useful, we bought it I was given advice by a friend who said we might be able to teach the dog to associate prolonged barking with the irritating whistle reaction in order to stop it from barking. We tried it for about 3 rounds, blowing for about 15 minutes Every time we were in the backyard, the dog walked up to our dividing fence and barked at us for 5 seconds. Trying to make sense of what was happening, the dog cocked her head. She attempted to bark again, and the whistle blew at her The next day followed a successful first day with 10 blows - the third day was even more successful. There was no need for as many blows of the whistle to deter dogs from barking. The dog would eventually stop barking after one whistle and trot off to a resting place in the middle of the yard. I was delighted to notice that within a week the unwanted barking had almost disappeared, although the dog still barks at people walking in the alley beyond the fence. It is obviously not against our policy to encourage a little I was very happy with the results a dog whistle helped us achieve! She may need a few reminders from time to time, but I'm happy with the results it helped.

Whistle for a silent dog
3/5

This product is not designed to quiet dogs, nor is it designed to be The description of the product is misleading, so the company needs to change it. who is within hearing distance of this product can hear you. If you are trying to remain anonymous so that your neighbor with the yapping dog does not know who you are It won't take long for your neighbor to learn that your house is blaring a whistle. It hurt my own ears when I used the product. Dog training products are designed as training aids. There is a chance that this will train dogs to be quiet and stop 2 weeks ago I purchased this product. You need to remove the cover instead of unscrewing it, as it was very difficult for me to figure In the past two weeks, I have blown the whistle 15 times in my neighborhood in order to calm down the dog. My refund request has been submitted. If you are looking to quiet the dogs in your neighborhood, do not buy this product.

Does the job
5/5

It was purchased for my 13 month old Malamute who likes to run a little further away from me than my other dogs when we are walking off leash. Often she's out of sight and too far away for my voice to reach her, so I have to shout her name pretty loudly and sometimes for a couple of seconds for her to hear me. I decided to give this silent whistle a try when I noticed that she responds almost better to me whistling with my mouth than to verbal commands. As a result I promised myself I wouldn't have to shout commands all the time and I would get a better response from the dog than just The whistle seems to meet the requirements we are looking for though I was skeptical at first. This is an extremely high quality device, and is able to travel very far, even though it seems quite silent to me. " The sound is quite quiet, but I can still hear it. As much as possible, I use a lower frequency (between 3 and 4), because the higher ones seem to upset my dog, and are uncomfortable to me. I do not worry about how far away my dog is because she comes running as soon as she hears the lower frequency. It took her only a few minutes of training to figure out what the whistle meant, but I do reward her with treats (don't expect your dog to come on her own on hearing the whistle alone). Everything seems to be going well so far. Although I don't expect miracles with this whistle, my dog responds much better to it than to any voice command, and that is what I was looking for. With the way this whistle is built, I trust it will last "forever" and can only recommend it to other people. The high frequencies can be used to stop dogs barking - try them if you want to stop them from barking The earplugs seem to be unpleasant to my dog (and also to me).
