Initially, your pet might walk a little funny if he hasn't used one before. My dog is very used to it, and even waits for me to put it on or my four year old daughter to wear it. Due to the lack of time to wash often or the fact that I sometimes catch up on laundry on the weekends, I have at least 12 or more of these wraps. You may find that Velcro needs to be stitched back with time as it loosens with use over time. I also use a feminine liner or pad, depending on how often you let your dog go potty that may be enough to wear the diaper all day. Because the cheap ones are cheaper than those made for dogs, I buy liners or pads from the same brand as the ones you find for when you're on your period. As long as you use it without a pad or liner daily to reuse instantly otherwise it will smell, you will have to wash it on a regular basis. I'll do this from time to time when my pads run out. I recently purchased disposable dog wraps and I am very happy with them. My disposable pads are used when I am too lazy to put a liner or a pad or when I do not have clean wraps. I love the little man, but I was getting frustrated that adoption was a big It did not matter that everything smelled like pee. I was tired of his inability to aim well with mats, and the overall cost to clean carpets, furniture, and simply the general unhappiness of everyone.
Drop these great items into your cart! His mistakes are now nonexistent, and I no longer have to clean carpets for him. All you have to do is throw them in the wash. I would like to address those who have concerns am not sure where you get this information, but I can assure you that even my dog, even for his size, has thoroughly soiled these things. (He is on steroids, so he drinks cups of water throughout the day) and they have stayed in place. I think it might be a good idea to make sure they are positioned well.
