Questions & Answers

How many scoops does this bottle contain?

The 480 ml bottle would be 80 ml if you used one full scoop, but good luck getting that because filling the small scoop without missing it or overfilling it is difficult.

what exactly are the ingredients?

Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you. What is an "ingrediton," and what does it mean?

What is the EPA's percentage?

One 6 ml scoop contains 870 mg of EPA, according to the manufacturer's website.

Is it still possible to get the gelcaps? Have you looked everywhere but can't seem to locate them?

Although I saw the gel caps for dogs for sale on Amazon, my veterinarian did not recommend them.

I use it on my own dog and recommend it to my patients
5/5

All of my patients with joint inflammation get fish oil, which I recommend as a veterinarian. My own dog, a 70-pound shepherd/hound mix with left elbow and spinal arthritis, benefits from this product. Within 4- He hasn't needed any NSAIDs in 5 weeks and is very active, walking and hiking for hours; I use it in conjunction with Dasaquin and will be starting laser therapy sessions soon. Please keep in mind that dogs require a much higher dose per kilogram of body weight than humans do. Soft gels, liquids, and other products are available for humans and dogs, but you must read the fine print and do a lot of math. I recommend looking up the CSU vet fish oil dosing chart and entering your dog's weight in kilograms or pounds to see the recommended daily dose. Please keep in mind that the two omega 3 fatty acids that have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties are DHA and EPA both have anti-inflammatory properties. You're looking for their combined amount in mg (milligrams) per day, and you'll need to look at the ingredient list for your product to see how many mg of each are in a serving. Then you can figure out how much to give (I give my dog about 3). This liquid should be consumed in 5 scoops each day. I had to give him a bunch of them every day when he was on my "2100 mg soft gels," because the bottle stated that the total amount of EPA and DHA combined was 1500 mg PER 2 SOFTGELS. So take your time and read everything. br>br>Add oils to your diet slowly and gradually. Many animals experience soft or loose stool on a regular basis. The situation will usually return to normal, but not all animals will be able to process the extra oils. If you're using a human product, check with your veterinarian to make sure the additives and other ingredients aren't harmful.

This is the second time I've purchased it, but it doesn't say Salmon OIL this time
3/5

We reordered this and noticed right away that the product no longer says SALMON OIL on the bottle, but instead says "FISH OIL"? Our English Mastiff had to undergo emergency surgery due to bladder stones. Hereditary bladder stones were discovered at Cornell University to be the worst type. He'd perish if he wasn't put on a No Pureen diet. We had a computerized diet made for him by Cornell University's Veterinary Nutrition Department. SALMON OIL is the product that must be added to keep him safe. When I contacted Cornell, they informed me that our subscription would be terminated. They must now contact all of their patients because unidentified "FISH oil" may cause the formation of bladder stones. They'll have to do some research to come up with a product that's entirely made up of salmon oil.

My Dog's Breath is Fishy, but it's Good for Him! I bought Omega-Welactin Welactin Welactin Welactin Welact 3 for my soft-spoken 6-year-old Following the advice of my veterinarian, I got a Coated Wheaten Terrier
5/5

Our dog had been suffering from skin allergies, which are common in many dog breeds. I've only been using it for a few days and I've already noticed a difference! This is a good product, and buying it from Amazon was half the price of buying it from the veterinarian. My dog is in need of one. 5 tbsp (approximately 5 scoops) The only drawback so far is his fishy-smelling breath, which will last a long time in this large bottle. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and give it a star rating.

My Dog Has Been Saved My veterinarian warned me that it might not work as well for some pets, but I've seen significant improvements in my nearly 13-year-old Lab and one of my customers' 12-year-old dog
5/5

Labrador Retriever, 5 years old. There's a faint (but not overpowering) fishy odor to it. This stuff is a hit with both dogs. I simply squirt a small amount on their food to approximate the dose. In the case of my dog Bear, who appeared to be on the verge of death, was down and not moving much, and had stopped eating and drinking for over 24 hours, the vet gave him some pain pills, he began eating and drinking again with this added to the food, and you can see my photos of him trotting around my Mom's yard a few weeks later.

For my 12-year-old son, this is an excellent pure supplement
5/5

After dog sitting a friend's pup who took it, I began giving it to my 12-year-old long-haired chihuahua. What I noticed right away- The dog's eyes went from being red and irritated by allergies to being clear and healthy. His coat was beautiful and shiny and growing quickly, and his 12 year old dragon little dog breath went from burn your eyebrows off to tame (I also supplemented with prescription allergy medicine for 24 hours). Granted, this was eventually replaced by fishy-smelling breath, but something about it was pleasant. Because of the way it lingered, I could tell it was very pure. This, along with CBD supplements, reishi, and organic foods, is a happy addition to my little guy's health arsenal. People mistake him for a 5-year-old rather than a 12-year-old. br>br>Invest in your pets and you'll get ten times your money back.

The problem is with the packaging, not with the product! This is my third bottle of this product, which I purchased after my vet suggested it for my greyhound's skin
4/5

fur. Her soft fur gets a lot of compliments, and she doesn't scratch as much as she used to! br>However, the packaging is dreadful. The first two bottles had cracked lids and measuring cups, so I called the company, and they knew I was calling about the cracked lids as soon as I said the product's name. They said they'd send me a replacement lid, but it never came. But I'm really happy with the results I'm getting! My third bottle arrived with everything I needed - There were no problems, except for a leak somewhere. To avoid getting my counter dirty, I placed it in a measuring cup. The fact that the bottle's top is leaking indicates that they're still having trouble finding the right cap. I put up with the messy bottle and continue to use this product, but be aware that it has packaging issues.
