Is Pollock oil as bad as salmon oil in terms of odor? Because of the odor, we eventually gave up on salmon. ?

I haven't smelled the salmon oil, but the pollack doesn't smell bad, and my dog's coat is much softer:

Is it necessary to chill this?

It isn't specified whether or not it should be kept refrigerated. I, on the other hand, keep it in the fridge. The cold squirts on their food don't seem to bother the dogs.

This couldn't possibly work, I reasoned
5/5

I honestly didn't think it would work. But I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot, especially since fish oil is good for them in any case. One of my dogs has a bad habit of shedding excessively. You couldn't pet her without causing a cloud of hair to fly all over the place. Her blonde hair splatters all over the place. My other dog's skin is extremely dry and irritated. She was rubbing herself against everything she could get her hands on, to the point where her hair on her flanks was starting to fray. br>br>We've been using it for a few weeks and I'm really impressed with how well it's worked! When I used to brush my blonde dog's teeth with the FURminator, I had to stop every swipe or two to empty out the teeth because they were completely full. I can brush her as much as I want now, and the teeth have almost no hair. My other dog hasn't scratched anything either, and her coat appears to be healthy and lustrous. I can't express how surprised (and delighted!) I am. ) I'm glad it worked out! br>br>I agree that the packaging needs to be improved. It was sticky and stinky when it arrived, with oil all over the sides. When dispensing it, it also leaks a little around the collar. To keep it from dripping, we store it in a large ziplock bag. So it'd be great if they could fix the packaging and distribution issues. But at the end of the day, I'm 100% satisfied and will continue to buy it without second thought.

This is something that my dog really enjoys! This is something that my dog really enjoys
5/5

We spit on her food right away. White fish oil (like pollock) is the best type to use for joint issues, according to my vet, and it's especially good for older dogs. Salmon oil is also beneficial, but it primarily benefits the coat and skin, rather than the joints. I just thought I'd share this interesting piece of information.

Excellent product at a reasonable price!! I adopted a 10-week-old puppy from a shelter, and he had kennel cough, an ear infection, stomach worms, and mites when I got him
5/5

I put him on Nexgard right away to kill the mites, but he ended up with a nasty bacterial and fungal skin infection (which he is still fighting). He lost a lot of hair, was red all over, and had dark bald spots all over his body as a result of this. I started giving him this oil (in addition to his treatment), and his fur and skin have improved dramatically. His fur has thickened and shined, and the dark spots on his body have faded. I understand that the medical treatment was important in his recovery, but I honestly believe that this oil aided his skin and fur recovery. To keep his skin and fur healthy, I'll give him this oil for the rest of his life.

He's bouncing around like a puppy right now
5/5

I bought it because I have two large dogs (half pit bull, half german shepherd) who are nearly nine years old. I noticed my male puppy was having trouble getting up from a laying position, he seemed to be slowing down, and he was definitely getting cranky, so I asked the vet for advice, and she said fish oil would help. It did, in fact, provide assistance. He's bouncing around like a puppy right now. He leaps and plays as if there was never a problem. I haven't seen him this happy or healthy in a few years, and this was the only change I made, so I'm sure it had something to do with his improved mood and mobility. This is something I give to both of my large dogs and both of my middle-aged (11 and 12) cats, and they all seem to enjoy it. The 64-ounce bottle lasted me approximately three months, which is an incredible value. Grizzly Pollock, you're the best!.

Skin conditions in dogs are effectively treated with this product
5/5

This is something I'm getting for my canine companion. She has dry skin, and the veterinarian suggested that she take fish oil to help her with it. Naturally, he would have preferred that I purchase items from his office, but, uh. No, we live in the Amazon Universe, where everything is much less expensive. This is extremely effective. br>br> I can literally SEE how well it works because after a month of use, my doggo's skin was noticeably less dry and flaky. I can tell she's much more at ease now than she was before I started adding this to her kibble, because she doesn't scratch and chew on herself as much as she used to. br>br>If your dog suffers from dry skin, this should help. Every day, give them a pump or two of it. That's all there is to it. Also, it doesn't make her breath or body smell like fish, which I don't notice. The only time I detect a faint whiff of fish is when I sprinkle it on her food, and even then, it's only for a few seconds.

Although the product is excellent, the packaging and delivery are substandard
4/5

Grizzly Pollock Oil is one of my favorites, despite the fact that it gives my dogs the worst fish breath. My vet recommends fish oil as a daily supplement, and it seems to help with my two aussies' itchy skin issues; plus, they love it, and even the older one, who is picky about food, will eat her dinner with it on it. br>br>My only issue with this item is that it arrives slightly damaged every time I order it, and the last time I ordered from this seller, the package was so badly damaged in transit that they simply returned it and I received a refund from Amazon. I can only imagine how stinky the inside of that UPS truck must have been. br>br>Anyway, I'm docking a star because of the delivery problems - It always causes the same damage - When I get it, the pump has been smashed into the jug, and fish oil is always leaking everywhere. This is the fourth time I've ordered it. The jug has leaked 5 times now, but the pump has always been functional. This was the only catastrophic failure, but I believe I'm done ordering it online. br>br>I wholeheartedly recommend the product, but I'll have to buy it somewhere else, perhaps in a physical store where I'll have to deal with people.

GSD Skin Irritation can be alleviated by using this product
5/5

Last winter, my poor German Shepherd was plagued by itchy and flaky skin. As a result of the irritation, he lost a lot of fur and developed a skin infection. I began using it because I was desperate to find something that could assist me! This year, after using this since the spring, both his skin and coat are in great shape! He enjoys the taste of it so much on his dog food that he now refuses to eat his dry food without it. At his most recent vet visit, I mentioned that we'd been using this, and the vet said she uses it on her own dogs' food as well. It isn't cheap, but it performs admirably and, in my opinion, is well worth the money.
