Questions & Answers

Can I use it as a long-term preventative for my cat who has never had any urinary problems?

I purchased this item, but my cat refused to eat it. I'm sure it could be used as a long-term preventative measure, but a urinary cat food would be preferable.

This is an excellent product for cats who suffer from crystal problems
5/5

My cat has crystals in his bladder, and with so many cats in the house, keeping him on a separate diet was nearly impossible. So I switched them all to a grain-free dry food and supplemented their fluid intake with canned food. I keep several bowls of water around the house, and I feed this gel to my big dog, who enjoys the taste. He licks it right out of the tube on a regular basis. I smear it on his foot and he licks it off on other days. Since he's been on it, he's stayed healthy and hasn't had any blockages. Prior to using the gel, he had to go to the emergency vet twice for complete blockages, and we tried the Science Diet first. He liked the canned version of SD, but not the maintenance version. Now that he's been using the gel for a few months, he's doing great. It also appears to provide him with a significant increase in energy. This product was recommended by the first veterinarian we saw, and he was absolutely correct! It is extremely effective! My kitty is happy and free of blockages because I order it on a regular basis.

There will be no more visits to the veterinarian
5/5

After two visits to the veterinarian (one month apart) for anti-parasitic medication, I discovered this product while searching for biotics to treat my cat's bladder infection, and I am extremely pleased with the results. My cat may continue to have recurring bladder infections because she is in the early stages of kidney failure, according to the vet. She explained that this is due to the fact that cats drink more water and thus have less acidic urine. Unfortunately, this allows pathogenic bacteria to multiply and infect people. I also started a product called NUSENTIA Natural Urinary Health for Dogs, which I used in conjunction with Methigel Urinary Acidifier. A pro-life cat and a pro-life pro-life cat are a match made in supplement with probiotics The pairing appears to be very successful. For the past four months, she hasn't had a more serious infection. I feed her small meals (wet canned food) four to six times a day, mixing in a little of each product and plenty of water. She won't be able to taste it because of this. I also stopped eating dry food after my veterinarian advised me that it could cause kidney problems. I hope that this information is useful to other people who have pets.

This was suggested by the original breeder's veterinarian
5/5

It's possible that this will save your cat's life. It, along with a change in diet and a tincture called Tinkle Tonic, which I also purchased on Amazon, saved my life. My son had a crystal blockage and nearly died, resulting in a tens of thousands of dollars in vet bills. We knew we couldn't afford another hospital stay for him when he began to show signs of reblockage and were at a loss for what to do. This was suggested by the veterinarian of the cat's original breeder, not the veterinarian we currently see. I'm not sure why this isn't more widely known in the veterinary community, because it has worked wonders for us.

I figured out Pookie's crystal problems, and I'm a huge fan of this stuff
5/5

It's a million times easier to solve your cat's crystal problems with this than $60 cases of prescription food that the cat doesn't like and takes months or years to get a clean UA with. br>After 5 weeks on this, my 17-year-old cat had a clear urinalysis (no crystals!). ) as well as a clean bill of health. br>I ordered some 3ml syringes and mixed the paste with some warm water or canned food (to make it less sticky), then sucked it up in the syringe. My cat preferred it this way, and she didn't end up goopy or sticky. If your cat eats canned food well, you can probably mix it right in.

This is an excellent suggestion

However, it appears that my cat does not consider this to be a Tasty Treat. This irritated my cat to no end. I applied some to his back leg in a stealthy manner. He picked it up right away- turned the corner He shook his leg and began to lick it off before stopping- slurring his words He then dashed back, clearly disgusted by the taste. The rest of the day was spent running back and forth throughout the house- With each dash, his tail flew directly behind him. When I tried to pet him, he gave me an alarmed look that said, "Hell no, you're not touching me!" You're the one who smeared that stuff all over my body! " He was paranoid for a few days after that, so I gave the tube to a friend to see if she could use it better. I finally decided to purchase the Dl- Methionine is a powdered form of the amino acid methionine. If you know how to reduce the dose to 480 mg, please let me know. You can simply put it in their food if you want to. My cat doesn't mind the flavor, so that's the quickest way for us to consume it.

UR Kitty gave it her seal of approval
5/5

My cat is on an UR prescription diet, so I give him this if I give him non-prescription foods or treats. He enjoys it so much that I occasionally give him a small amount as a treat. I don't use it every day, but the vet recommended it as a precaution against crystal/stones reblocking my boy if he becomes stressed or if I am unable to obtain the prescription UR diet for him. Because this is a sticky product, use caution when handling it.

Our beloved little canine had bloody, highly alkaline urine, and she had struvite crystals in the past
5/5

Every day, she eats a dab of this gel with her breakfast. After a few days, and after a few days, and after a few days, and Her urine is clear and yellow in color, with a slight acidity. For long-term use, we may try cranberry supplements, bacteria reducers, and/or different dosages/routines of this product. We're happy to know that this urine acidifier works quickly and effectively, but we're not looking for long-term solutions.

It appears to be working in tandem with the other dietary changes I've made! I began purchasing this 5-pack of cigarettes
5/5

My male cat (3 years old) was hospitalized 6 months ago after forming a urinary crystal. The vet prescribed a wet food that he couldn't stand (and which was, to be honest, WAY too expensive). Since then, I've restricted his diet to only Frisky's turkey pate wet food (apparently higher in protein than the other flavors) and supplemented it with a small amount of water. He doesn't seem to notice, and he hasn't had any crystals yet.
