Questions & Answers

Do you know how effective it is if your dog licks the product off? If so, does it work?

From their website we learn that their products are 100% safe and edible, and that they are 100% natural. Fortunately, Snout Soother still works even if it gets licked off as much as it can! Distractions, though, are the best way to gain the best results. If your dog does not seem to be feeling well, then give him a raw bone to chew on, a yummy treat, dinner, or play with him until the carrier oils have begun to be absorbed. A dab of peanut butter on top of the paw is said to be effective!

It is better to take liquid vitamin E
3/5

There was an anal leak due to the Snout Soother. The following is an update from 3/12/2020 It has been over two years since I had this product. Since then, pup has eaten numerous different types of foods, chewed many different bones, even cow hoofs and buffalo horns, and guess what? Out of everything he's eaten, this is his favorite. Thankfully, there are no signs of In response to the concerned commenter who doubted my review because I did not conduct a double-blind trial, I stand firm in my assertion that this product does not harm you. Interestingly enough, this product wasn't effective for my dog, and caused his butt to leak, but clearly it was effective I'm going to start with my recommendation for a product to help with dry noses. Fortunately, we found LIQUID VITAMIN E at our local vitamin shop, which the vet recommended for applying to the nose. I like the consistency (warm syrup thickness) that is much easier to apply to the nose than the tin, and it is truly scentless. I licked it a couple of times after application, but after that there was no fuss. Now I'll let you know what I think about My attention was drawn towards the fragrance free fact. However, it had an extremely strong herbal scent when I received it. Although the "fragrance free" means there is no added fragrance to the product, the herbal fragrance was quite strong and I was tempted to lick it. The cream softened his nose after two weeks of usage, but I needed to apply it regularly in order to achieve that result. We stopped immediately after stopping, and his nose immediately dried up. His bowel movements also started to suffer as a result of the constant licking and ingestion of the cream. During the evening, he started having anal leaks, and he is very stinky since then. The cream has been discontinued for a week, and we have switched to the vitamin E serum. Following a few days of vitamin E therapy, his nose is staying moist for longer and showing significant healing progress.

A remedy that is effective
5/5

Our order for this was over a year ago, so we have had time to evaluate and use In our family, there is an old Pomeranian with idiopathic hyperkeratinosis (a crusty, keratin-based nose that can happen in older dogs due to an unknown cause). does not seem to be a cure, and there is no prevention, but it can be treated. As a family, we use the Snout Soother on a weekly basis When a crust develops on his nose, he has to apply the cream. In order to get it to penetrate & work, we rub it in over a couple days As the keratin softens, and the crust is soft enough, it will eventually fall off when the Soother is applied to it. Afterward, we'll follow up for a day or so to keep his nose soft in case any healing occurs. There's no difference whether it gets licked off or not if you rub it in for 5 minutes each time. Our dog likes the taste and we don't mind if As long as the Soother is allowed to soften up the keratin until it is ready to fall off, it will work best. In the event that it is knocked off before it is ready, it can cause your dog to undergo a bloody & painful procedure Anger at nose pain. My experience hasn't been conducive to its preventing properties, since the keratin will grow when it wants (because that's what his body is doing), but it does a great job of removing it. There is nothing better than food that is made with food grade ingredients and is for human consumption. In the reviews, I've seen a number of people ask why this should be used instead of Vaseline? The simple answer is so that you're not treating and putting Vaseline on the skin at the same time. Byproducts of petrochemical production should not be given to your dog. When their lives are so short, why would we treat them with a cheap and ineffective method Surely this is a food grade product? The Snout Soother tin seems pricey at first glance but, after using it, we found that We haven't even gone 1/3 of the way through the tin yet after a year. If your dog has hyperkeratinosis or a crusty nose you might consider trying this product. We were able to use the solution. Hopefully, it works for your dog, but at least you know you tried a high-quality remedy and can consult a veterinarian about further action.

It's time to say goodbye to barnacle snouts! This product is highly recommended by Julie Taymor ( Maisey) for those prone to barnacle-covered Boxer snouts
5/5

It wasn't until March 2019 when The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was rescued, that she was able to end her life as a puppy mill momma. Trying everything from coconut oil to chap stick to remove scars and barnacles on her nose, her mom went broke trying to find a solution. there was a barnacle on the surface. The last time Maisey hid her nose behind her paw, that is no more! Now that she has been using a Snout Soother, she proudly struts her snout! As well as making her snout soft and beautiful, it also dissolved all the calluses that had formed on her elbows and paws from living in a cage for 5 years. Despite the barnacle snout, we always thought Maisey was beautiful (even with barnacles on her nose), and now that knowledge has been shared with her. The pampering she enjoys every day starts with her " nosey butter beauty treatment. ". The MARVELOUS Mrs. Maisel that she is today was once the old, broken down puppy mill momma with the barnacle snout. Thank you for making her into a beautiful treasure. A last word of advice ADOPTION AND RESCUED! Do not buy your pet from a pet store or breeder. Puppies should never be sold to puppy mills.

Take advantage of this fantastic deal! There is a way to make it work
5/5

It all started about 2 weeks ago, when our olde English bulldog developed a dry, scabby nose out of the blue. I wiped it off thinking it was dirt or mud. A few days later, it came back again and wiped off and wouldn't wipe off like it did the first time. It was crusty like it was a scab. We found out it was caused by Our research on the experience others have had with this brand led us to this brand repeatedly. As a result, we researched the companies/products, reviewed the hundreds of reviews and photos and decided to give it a try. The product came in a tiny tin, so for the price it was a little high, but my goodness does it work wonders! In just three hours after applying this, it had already begun to heal! There's no need to exaggerate! There has been almost no trace of it for five days. He had previously been covered in a crusty, dry scab on the whole of his nose. There are only a few small spots left that haven't fallen off 5 days after the procedure. When we reach the end of one full week of use, his nose will have returned to normal. I'd say the tin is very small, but a little goes a long way, so that's not a concern. You should buy this stuff if your dog has a dry, crusty, scabbed nose and you are looking for a miracle cure! wasn't sure this would work as well or as quickly as others had said but it seems to have done so! This product works just as well as the pictures I attached, they show how well it does. Honestly I haven't been paid for this review, just a dog owner who loves this product and wants to give it major props.
