Questions & Answers

Is it necessary to apply the product after thoroughly rinsing my dog's coat in water?

I used a rag to apply the dry coat, working it into the areas that needed it.

What's the best way to use Harry now that he's lost his tail?

After scrubbing the area with a dry algodón, apply it and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.

Is there any truth to this? 100%?

Works like a charm! Make sure it doesn't get licked by the animal. Also, because the liquid separates and thickens quickly after purchase, I immediately transfer it to a tupperware bowl. It's a lot easier to "stir."

Is it safe to use on human hair or scalps with this product?

It hasn't been approved for use by humans. It contains pine tar, turpentine, sulfur, and tar oil, among other ingredients that are harmful to your scalp. It has a distinct odor to it.

This is more effective than any medication prescribed by the doctor

Our little beagle's leg never got better after numerous vet visits, sprays, and pills. We assumed it was a small patch of mange because that's what a google search revealed. It could've been anything, but whatever it was, it was persistent. I looked up mange treatments on the internet and came across this product, which I decided to purchase after doing some research. Sulfur suspended in mineral oil (or another type of oil) is what it is. FYI, you can kill mange by suffocating the mites by applying mineral oil to the skin on a regular basis—but it takes a long time and you must be diligent about keeping the area covered. This is difficult to achieve because most dogs will simply lick it away. I did some additional research on the web after receiving the product, which had limited instructions. This is what I did in the end. I used rubber gloves to apply it to the dog's leg and massaged it in for a few minutes to ensure it was thoroughly absorbed before setting a timer for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, I washed the dog's leg with a wet rag and mild soap, then followed up with just water on a rag to remove the soap. Some people appear to leave it on for 30 minutes, ensuring that the dog does not lick the area. I didn't want to do that (plus it stinks), so I washed it off. We did this for three nights in a row, and the results were noticeable right away. The bumps vanished along with the redness. As a result, we only went through the three procedures. The hair began to regrow within a few days, and after a month, it was nearly fully grown in. This is a fantastic system. All of the most effective therapies appear to be outdated. school-based remedies WARNING: USE CAUTION WHERE APPLICABLE. Even though I washed the product off the third night, I must not have done a great job. We noticed the dog licking her leg but didn't think it was a big deal because we thought we'd done a good job of removing it. The dog had thrown up all over the couch when I woke up the next morning. It had been a nightmare. Now, I can't be certain it was the product; it could have been leftover soap or something completely unrelated, but the dog has never had diarrhea (we keep her on a strict diet and she never eats human food). My recommendation is to ensure that your pet does not consume any of the product.

BUT, OH MY GOD, IT SMELLS! So, here's how it works: br>This stuff stinks to high heaven
4/5

br>It was as if a lactose intolerant person drank a gallon of milk, ate a pound of cheese, drank a few yogurts, topped it off with ice cream, and then went to a hot springs to let loose. br>To put it another way: This one has a LOT of sulfur in it. br>Are you aware of what else it is? br>Washing it off is extremely difficult. After that, you're supposed to wash thoroughly with dog shampoo, according to the instructions. Let me just say that you'll have to wash your best friend's fur at least twice, if not three or four times, to remove all of the contaminates. Having said that. . . br> br>THIS STUFF ACTUALLY WORKS! br>I experimented with two different anti-inflammatory medications. I tried both parasitic shampoos for a week each (and to be honest, I washed her twice with anti parasitic shampoo after using this stuff) and neither worked. Her skin is healing nicely two days after applying this noxious substance, and her hair appears to be attempting to regrow. We'll still go to the vet tomorrow; this was just a stopgap measure until we could get an appointment. br>After two days and two applications, the difference in her bald spot can be seen in the photos. br>It may seem like a minor difference to some, but it's like night and day to me. It appears to be a significant improvement. The scabby bits are healing up and the area isn't nearly as inflamed. br>I was hesitant at first, but I'm glad I went ahead and did it.
OH! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! br>WHEN THEY SAY USE GLOVES, THEY ARE NOT KIDDING AROUND. WHEN YOU GET IT ON YOUR SKIN, IT IS UNPLEASANT TO SAY THE LEAST. br>*I deducted one star because it's a pain to get off. However, I'm fairly certain it must be in order for it to function properly.

Relief
5/5

* This is a genuine review; I was not paid for my opinion in any way.
br>With my pit bull mix, I've been through a lot. Every product known to man has been tried on me; prescribed drugs (they claimed it was an allergic reaction - no), home remedies, and just about anything else you can find on Amazon. Nothing has been entirely successful. It may temporarily reduce the severity of the mange, but it soon returns to its previous level. What a sad dog! The itching, sores, hair loss. . . br>I'd had this product for a while, but some of the reviews scared me away from it because of the potential for negative side effects, so I kept trying other things. I used this when I was at the end of my rope and desperate, but instead of using it full strength, I mixed about 2 tablespoons of Happy Jack with 1/4 cup dandruff shampoo. I only wore it for about 3 minutes before rinsing it off, but it provided instant relief. Itching is rare, but it appears to have decreased by 70-80%. 85%. I'm aware that because I'm diluting it, I'll have to take a little longer than usual, but that's fine with me. It also appears to keep the stench at bay. This is something I hope will work. I'll give you the results in a week. br>br>1 Week Inbr>br>I've bathed her four times in total. Her sores have decreased in number, and she has stopped scratching. Her skin has started to flake, but it appears that the mite sores are drying out and flaking off. It's a long process, but it appears to be working. br>Each time, I increased the amount of Happy Jack in the dandruff mix; I know it's not recommended, but I can't help myself - It doesn't spread otherwise, and the smell requires rinsing. br> I'll most likely have to buy another bottle before this is over. In a week, I'll post another update.
