Questions & Answers
The question is a good one. A graphic on the tube shows that the tube is made in the USA.
As far as I can tell, there is no difference apart from taste. As I've used both, the Tartar control has a more distinctive flavor for my dogs. Based on the texture and the way they brush, I believe they have the same formula with the exception of the flavor. If the manufacturer is going to make an official response on behalf of his company, that would be the absolute authority.

There is an error in the ingredient list for the product. According to the item, it contains Sodium Benzoate, a dangerous preservative no matter how many times I wash my hands. The item will be returned to you.
Instead of PETRODEX, go to PETRODEX. My dog and I used the entire tube to brush his teeth every night for the last few months. I brushed my teeth every night and yet they were still getting brown spots and looking worse every day! I couldn't understand how they could be getting worse when I was brushing them day and Then he ran out of petrodex and bought more once it was gone. Within two days, his teeth looked There was such a difference in products that I had to share. I seldom write reviews on here, but this was such an amazing difference. You will be so much better off if you get Petrodex. It is a waste of time, money, and effort to spend time, money, and effort on the Nylabone stuff.
I don't know why my miniature schnauzer won't let me brush her teeth with a regular toothbrush - but I use this one anyway - amazingly effective Instead of the rubberized brush, I use the wooden one that she likes. The product did not cause any allergic reactions Most of the food seems to be consumed by her. When you get to the end of the tube, make sure you don't squeeze it flat like toothpaste! This will cause all of the peanut oil in the tube to dry out and you'll be left with dry paste inside the flattened portion of the tube (a During your use of the tube, close the cap and massage the toothpaste around the tube to keep it lubricated with the peanut oils.
There is no better toothpaste for dogs with bad breath than this one. She would gag if she opened her mouth over five feet from me. Her breath used to be so bad that I could smell it from across the room. It was necessary for me to put my nose up to her mouth after one use to detect an unpleasant odor. Within two uses of this product, I am able to put my nose right up to her open mouth and smell her. It is now impossible for her to smell anything in did not, however, give her minty breath and she does not need it. She is simply unable to have that rancid breath in the morning. It turned out very well. I am very pleased. I've edited the #1 line of the first paragraph After using this toothpaste once a day for a week, I thought it was time to switch to another one. I have now noticed that my dog's breath is a bit nicer to smell when I put my nose close The tarter buildup appears to be reducing so far, and there is no more building up since I started using the toothpaste. I will show you the results I have made an update to Edit It has been three months since I took my dogs teeth cleaning pictures, so I am adding a before and after picture here. My reaction to the results is astonishment. This toothpaste has been recommended to me by a vet who has already anesthetized my dog. I purchased this toothpaste thinking tartar can only be removed by a vet. Initially, I was hoping to prevent more tarter buildup until I could save enough to have her teeth cleaned, but I have certainly removed tarter. Although it's evident on her back teeth, I focussed more on brushing her back teeth than her front, so that's probably why it's more visible. She's still got some tarter reduction to do on her front teeth, Each morning I brush her teeth after breakfast and give her a denta stick as a treat (I was giving her denta sticks for months before I started brushing her teeth and saw no results and it only helped her breath for There is a 100% certainty that those results are not from the cookie and are from brushing with toothpaste. I only give her denta sticks because she likes them so much and figured they wouldn't hurt). As a result of seeing these positive results with the toothpaste, I will add the Nylabone dental spray to my dogs dental care routine. It is nice to have a long-term and happy customer like Nylabone!.
My Papillon would get nauseated after brushing his teeth with the Petrodex Enzymatic toothpaste I use to brush my Labrador's teeth. I bought this toothpaste specifically for him. There is no nausea anymore. The aforementioned product has only been in use for six weeks (started right after his teeth were cleaned), but so far it has maintained the cleanliness of his teeth. As well as between cleanings, I also use Vetzlife oral spray, and he tolerates that as well. The cost of both is high, but if they reduced the number of dental visits he will require over his lifetime, it would be worthwhile. The results will come in due time.
There are, however, quite a few picky eaters in the family. My dogs were very enthusiastic to get their teeth brushed, and I was really hoping they would like it. I should really take a chance on it based on the reviews. Unfortunately, that did not work. In fact, I often give them small spoonfuls of real peanut butter, so I tried mixing the oil with Those who didn't eat the peanut butter with this mix just ate the peanut butter without My guess is that this stuff is great for the majority of dogs. I tried to feed my picky poms but they would not eat Luckily, they love Greenies so much that they insist on eating one nightly to keep their teeth perfect. Our vet was even convinced that it meant we were brushing their teeth every day because of Greenies. Raw carrots, which are high in natural sugars, are another food that our dogs eat a lot of, which causes plaque and tartar formation. Having to have teeth pulled eventually would be a lot worse than having the dogs have to buy Greenies, though I dislike the much higher price.
Brushing your dog's teeth is more effective than toothpaste and I think this is mainly due to its brushing technique. Brush your pup with toothpaste in order to get him to tolerate In this case, Nylabone toothpaste is perfect since I have never found any other brand that my dog enjoys. It was my first time with Arm & Hammer In the past, when I would brush my teeth with the Hammer, my puppy would run away when she saw me holding the toothpaste. Now she runs and licks her lips after I finish You need to make sure that it's The wax is a bit too thick, though, and clogs up the cap if you don't clean it after each.
A different pet store no longer carries this product, and now I can no longer get it there. I find that my dog has a tendency to be a bit picky about things, especially changes to what he's used This is the only toothpaste he has ever used, and he likes it very much. My husband enjoyed the peanut flavor, and the other toothpaste I have seen had strange flavors, like vanilla ginger. While my other dog lived, she hated the mint flavor of toothpaste and loved the taste of peanut. Thanks to this link, I found the product I was looking for. Keeping dog teeth clean is made easier by it.
