On a cat, I wouldn't do it. These guys have razor-sharp edges and can easily be cut. I don't even use my 10's for sanitaries anymore due to a slew of issues, so I'd look into cat-specific blades for grooming cats. Andis is in possession of some.
Yes- They work perfectly with my Andis 5 speed clippers, and these blades are always interchangeable with clippers that use standard blades (rather than wahl 5 in 1 blades). These will fit Andis professional clippers, though I'm aware that Andis makes a low-cost clipper for pet owners that can only use blades that click into place with black plastic.

This blade has been in my possession for a month and a half. It was a little louder than I expected when I first got it, but since it was my first buttercut, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. br>br>Finally, this week, it became so loud and hot that I realized something wasn't quite right. I summoned the sharpener, who stated that this blade appears to be either used or defective from the manufacturer. br>br>Having said that, as EXPENSIVE as this is, and as "new" as it is, I shouldn't be having this problem. I'm out of luck because it's too late to return it, but I wanted to make others aware that if you order and receive a loud blade, RETURN IT because it's broken and will break down soon. I believe I'll return to Andis. br>br> It costs half as much and lasts a long time.
I'd heard good things about Buttercuts and decided to give it a try to see how it compared to the Andis. Let me tell you, this blade has given me nothing but smooth cuts, and it handles tight matting like a champ. I intend to purchase more blades from this particular manufacturer! :.
The name says it all. It's as if you're cutting through warm butter! Grooming our curly goldendoodle with my Oster A5 was a dream. Oster blades are no longer an option for me. This came highly recommended by a professional groomer, and it was excellent. Also, the delivery was very quick.
The extra money was not worth it. I have Giant Schnauzers and use Oster or Andis blades most of the time. They quickly dulled, so I decided to invest in a more expensive blade in the hopes of getting a better cut and a blade that would last longer. I hadn't even gotten halfway through the first dog when it began to catch up with me. I know what I'm doing because I've been grooming for over 30 years. Make plans to come back.
I needed to replace an older blade because it's becoming increasingly difficult to find someone who sharpens blades. I've always used Oster blades, but after reading this blade's review, I decided to give it a shot. I nearly scalped my poor dog's neck the first time I tried it. It was razor-sharp and sliced through everything in its path. Although it cost a little more than the Oster blades, it appears to be well worth the investment. The second time I used it, I had a better idea of what to expect in terms of cutting, and it performed admirably. It produced cuts that were very smooth and free of blade marks. Only time will tell how long it lasts, but I have every reason to believe it will. br>You increasingly get what you pay for, and this is yet another example of paying a little more to get a lot more.
Working with butter cut blades has been a dream. Buttercut blades have replaced all of the blades I use in my work. Buttercut enhances the appearance of my dogs. Even though I'm still new to dog grooming, I get a lot of compliments on my body work and people ask me how I do certain things. It brings joy to me.
I think this is one of the best clipper blades I've ever bought. It costs a little more than other brands, but trust me when I say that the extra cost is well worth it. I have a number of Geib blades in various sizes, and I keep returning to this brand as my other blades wear out. These are truly outstanding blades. I wish I'd found out about them sooner.
This is a great knife. Cuts my poodles in half. Doodles evenly coats the surface and leaves a smooth, clean finish. I've never used a blade like it!.
