My dog is a cross between a Newfoundland and a Labrador Retriever. This is something he despises. When I can corner him and he has some LONG THICK HAIR, it works.
Deshedder is the best word I can think of to describe it. It reaches just above the skin's surface and removes the fine hairs that the animal will shed as it sheds its winter coat. This "tool" accomplishes more in 10 minutes than natural shedding accomplishes in 20/30 days.

This groomer performs admirably. I normally brush and comb my cat on a daily basis, just like I would a human. She likes it, but there are a few spots where the comb won't go through easily, which she doesn't like and slaps me with her paw. This pet groomer in Jaswell went over every inch of my cat's coat with ease, even her sensitive areas like her backside and stomach, which she let me groom without hesitation. She shed a lot of fur, much more than she usually does. She purred extra loudly and enjoyed the grooming process, which left her fur looking gorgeous and feeling silky smooth. She even had dandruff under her fur, which vanished after grooming with this two-sided grooming tool. I believe it's because it grooms not only the surface fur but also the fur beneath it. She's a happy kitty, and I'm a happy pet parent; the grooming session was a great bonding experience for us, and I'm sure I'll notice less of her hair in my house and on my clothes now. You will not be disappointed if you order one for yourself and your pet.
This is what I bought for my Husky Shepherd mix, and it works wonders at removing his undercoat. It pulled a little too much for my Husky the first time I used it, so I broke it up into several sessions over the course of a week so he could get used to the rake's feel. I also use a wire brush and a furminator, but this rake seems to do a better job of getting the undercoat. It's best to use it outside because it sheds a lot of hair. His coat is much smoother, and it could just be me, but he appears to be more at ease after removing his loose undercoat with the rake. I would definitely buy from them again.
When using this dematting tool, you must be gentle. Start with the side with the fewest "teeth," and luckily, I have a cat who enjoys being brushed, and he was getting mats on his lower back near his tail due to his long hair. I used it gently, holding down the hair at the base where it connects to the skin so it didn't pull too hard and hurt, then switching to the other side that has more "teeth" to help remove the mats. I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything came together. Only the matted areas behind the legs closer to the buttock area are difficult for me to reach because they are more sensitive - Instead, I think I'll just take a pair of scissors and cut out the mat. Overall, it did the job I needed it to do, and it was made in China.
Before coming across this little gem, I tried a variety of brushes and combs. I used the dematter to break up all of the mats on her back, legs, and stomach, and her hair now looks much cleaner. Using this tool, I probably removed the hair from ten grocery bags. Amazing!.
I was recommended this tool by a friend a few weeks ago, but I didn't purchase it because I already had brushes. By cutting and brushing for hours, I was able to remove a large number of mats, but there were still a large number on his legs, tail, and neck. Over the weekend, I made the decision to purchase this tool. All I have to say is that it arrived yesterday morning, and all I have to say is- yes. Get it. It will be well worth your time and effort. It works. I used this on him for about 15 minutes, and I was able to remove enough hair and mats to knit a track suit for myself. He's a lot happier now that the mats are gone, and the brush didn't bother him at all! This is such a significant victory for me.
I'm a 16-pound woman. A mix of a long-haired terrier and a poodle. I'd like to groom him at home for convenience and cost. br>I'm writing a series of books about visiting national parks with him and my grandkids, so he needs to have a consistent look because he'll be famous LOL Petsmart grooming is reasonable, but they use the blow dryer to make him look like a puffball. br>I'm not sure if this tool has enough sharpness. Unless you get a good tangle-preventing shampoo/conditioner for a long-haired dog, your life will be miserable. br>Sharp heavy scissors and thinning scissors, as well as a calming remedy (Amazon has nice kits with toenail clippers) are required for grooming those tiny faces.
He's a Sheltie mix with a lot of personality. His hair tends to mat behind his ears, which has aided in the removal of the knots, which we discovered cannot be simply cut out. This was an excellent choice!.
I like it because I can get a lot of hair off my cat with it. Although it is messy and requires frequent cleaning, my cat appears to enjoy it. My cat seems to enjoy the process and thinks she's getting a massage because the little brush pieces are sharp and easily cut off some hair. To reduce the amount of cat or dog hair in the house, you'll probably have to do this on a daily basis. It's something I've recommended to my family, and they seem to enjoy it as well. Although I believe the price should be lower, I will not object. I've tried pretty much every product for my long-haired cat, and this one is at the top of my list.
