My older shepherd is arthritic and can't take a bath. We now only use dry shapooing and a thorough brushing. This rake was easy to hold (the brushing took 2 hours, so a comfortable grip is essential), didn't pull or snag him, and didn't cause him any discomfort. This is a fantastic purchase!.
I purchased this as a backup cashmere comb; we already have one that works well for removing the undercoat of cashmere fiber from our cashmere-producing goats when they shed. With two combs, each person can comb one side. The goat's life will be easier and faster. Our goats can use the grooming comb, as well. When we comb their cheeks and between their horns with it, they go crazy. br>br>I'm not sure how it would work for dogs, but I'm guessing it would work just as well on a dual-coated dog, as goats are also dual-coated.
They blow their coat twice a year, making it easy to get rid of all that extra fur and tangles and mats. I would recommend this product to any dog with a double coat.
I got a whole extra dog out of my collie mix, and it worked great. I recommend brushing outside so you don't have to worry about where the hair goes.
The cat is not fond of being brushed, but Bella, the dog, seems unconcerned. This rake, at the very least, does not pull like a regular grooming brush. And this dog has a LOT of hair on his body!.
For the first part of your Husky's grooming, this is a must-have item. The dog is relaxed and carefree while the main fluff is extracted quickly and easily.
The grooming rake is extremely effective. We have a Havamalt, and his coat is easily matted. Brushing the mats with this method is effective.
I really like how the teeth are rounded rather than sharp. As a result, I don't believe I'm causing any harm to my dogs. It's perfect for getting my shepherds' undercoat under control.
