The head does not swivel on this model. It is used to brush the hair straight.
Because my miniature poodle's hair is curly and prone to knotting, I purchased this brush to brush her. It does not sit well with her. Despite my best efforts to be gentle, I'm not sure if the brush hurts her. I switched back to a comb after I stopped using this. She doesn't make as much of a fuss as she used to.
This brush has a 6-inch length. 5" in length, with a W x H of 2 inches. 5" x 1. 5".
This brush is one of our favorites. The tips are coated, but they don't have the little plastic heads that some do (we bought one of those, and the little plastic tips pulled on my dog's hair, causing her to cry.) ) So I kept looking, and this one is her favorite; the coating isn't visible, but you can feel it. This brush isn't going to scratch your skin. It's something I think you'll enjoy.

This is the only brush that he enjoys using. When you brush his hair, he is completely relaxed. I had to buy two, one for Grandma's house and one for ours, because if you try to brush him with any other brush, he runs, runs, and hides. This poodle is done with mats.
There are no soft-serve options, as other reviews have pointed out. There are no swivel heads and each pin has coated tips. In addition, the pins are flimsy and of poor quality. I paid $8 for a slicker brush at the supermarket. 99, for example, has thicker pins that are coated on both sides. I'm going to stick to supermarket fare. After reading the reviews, I'm not sure why Amazon continues to allow this vendor to claim that their product has a swivel head and coated pins when it clearly doesn't. I hate giving negative feedback, but this product's description is clearly misleading.
It's what I use on my Bichon Frise's fur, and it makes it look so nice and fluffy. He isn't bothered by it at all. He appears to be more relaxed as a result of it. This brush was actually recommended to me by his groomer.
I own a standard poodle that is fully grown. Our groomer suggested getting a slicker brush with long bristles, which turned out to be quite difficult to come by in stores. This brush is fantastic and does a fantastic job!.
My yorkipoo and toy poodle are my pets. I really like the brush's size and shape. It has a curved handle that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. Dander and debre from fur are easily removed with this tool. There is no pain and the weight is light. It's the ideal size for toy and small breed dogs.
I already had a slicker brush, but these things are razor-sharp. I can't imagine anyone thinking that making a brush that can draw blood from a puppy is a good idea. I thought I ordered the one with the plastic tip coating, but apparently not. This is one I'm going to donate because the returns are more expensive than the item itself. I went with the plastic coated tips brush because it was less expensive. My order had been double-checked.
I wanted to let you know about a new discovery I made. Because of the positive reviews, I decided to purchase this brush. The brush is comfortable to use and does a good job on my Goldendoodle. However, this isn't the most interesting part. After grooming my doodle and finding her hair all over my clothes and furniture, I discovered that these brushes are great for removing hair from clothing and furniture without pulling the fabric (don't use on leather).
I could never brush his hair with a regular dog brush without fear of injuring him. This slicker brush is a huge improvement. It makes it much easier to untangle and fluff his coat without having to pull on it. Comb out mated hair with this fantastic tool. Simply wait for the slicker to untangle your matted hair.
