Questions & Answers
Although I only have the Big K slicker, I believe the wire spacing may differ. The Big K wires are sparse, which means they won't pull as hard on a curly-coated dog. But it's just a guess. At first, the wires are quite stiff. My Samoyed didn't care for it at first, but as time went on, they grew to like it. He doesn't seem to mind right now.
Big G has a larger number of pins than the others. It's intended for use on heads and legs, as well as fluffier breads.
When we use this comb, I don't think a detangler spray is necessary.
The majority of CC brushes have their engraving on the back of the brush rather than the handle.

According to Chris Christensen's company, the real product has the name engraved in the brush rather than printed on it. Remove yourself from the equation.
This is my second Big K, and either Chris Christiansen's standards have been lowered, or this is a knockoff. My original brush had soft bristles that could be run down the inside of your arm without hurting, but this one is harsh and painful. It also adheres to the coat, preventing the original from slipping through. I'm returning it and will purchase it directly from Chris Chisiansen rather than through the seller "Groom Groom," in the hopes of having better luck.
One of my friends informed me that the Amazon ones are knockoffs. The one from Amazon does not have "made in Germany" written on the back. My first REAL CC brush lasted a few years, but the two Amazon brushes I tried started losing tines after only a few months. My brushes arrived from CC yesterday and have a nicer handle, a nicer exterior coating, and sturdier but not as sharp tines.
His hair is a mix of curly and wavy because he is mostly a poodle. In some places, it's almost crimpy. Brushing him out takes no more than half an hour (might be less if he'd just stay still!). I also notice that once he settles down/gives up, it doesn't seem to bother his sensitive areas as much (his chest seems to be particularly sensitive), and I avoid brush burn by not having to go over the same area repeatedly. He's always so fluffy and soft to me! Henry's daily grooming routine would not be complete without this brush. Don't let the price deter you; it's well worth it!.
For dogs with poodle-like coats, it works wonders on the top coat. This is what we use after brushing their undercoat. Our dogs now look as if they just came from the groomer after using this. This is a must-have for anyone who owns a poodle or doodle-coated dog.
When I dropped off my poodle, the groomer expressed concern about his condition. I was confident that I had done an excellent job. Chris Christensen's slicker brush came highly recommended by her. I'm able to distinguish between the two. I bought my sixth poodle shortly after the first brush, and she had a true show poodle coat, and I'm not sure how I would have made it without it. I purchased the Big K Slicker Brush Large, which is excellent for the entire body. I recommend both the medium and large, but I understand that they are both pricey, so if you can only afford one, go with the large.
Mango, my goldendoodle, gets a lot of attention from me. Groomers recommended the long pin slicker brush, but I bought this one because there are fewer complaints about it breaking right away because her hair is thick, long, and grows quickly. Because of the price, I was hesitant to buy this brush, but it is 100% worth it! The brilliance of this brush is truly astounding. The smoothness of this brush instantly reflected the price; The pins' curvature grabs any hair that is starting to mat down. When compared to a less expensive brush, Mango's coat is softer, smoother, fluffier, and more beautiful. I've only had it for a few days, but it's already made an impression on me. I recommend brushing carefully because the pins appear to be fragile and they really grab onto the hair; otherwise, the pins may deform and cause discomfort to your dog.
