Questions & Answers
Hmm. That is a difficult question to answer. br>I purchased this item for my mixed-breed akita-husky. br>Her undercoat and overcoat both shed a lot of fur. br>The double rake is designed for dogs that shed their undercoats. The double rake is for a dog with undercoat, and this brush is for brushing out excess fur. You can use the single rake brush for dogs with regular coats. br>I hope this information is useful.
There are 20 3/4-inch long teeth and 19 1/2-inch long teeth.
Although the function is the same, removing undercoat and preventing shedding, the design of this and the furminator is vastly different.
With this rake, you'd be able to finish it sooner. It's fantastic on my 150 pound Saint Bernard. I have never owned a rake like this. I believe they make a smaller version, but these aren't particularly large to begin with. br>additional information - This is the only size they offer, according to my research. It's fantastic and simple to maintain - I'd be interested in learning more.

This was the first thing I used on my golden the day it arrived. First, I did it outside, and if you're going to town because they're in desperate need of help, you should do it outside as well, because it was snowing dog hair. It's similar to a Furminator brush I don't care for, but it doesn't pull as hard, and it gets right down to the undercoat. It never felt like you were done with the Furminator brush. I'm not sure if it didn't do a good enough job or if it just kept grabbing hair until there was none left. I was never able to keep going. After removing a large amount of hair from my son, the brush eventually stopped shedding more hair, and I was able to pet him without hair flying off of him or even slightly tug on his hair without getting a handful of hair, as I usually do with other brushes. I own five different brushes, and this is the best one I've ever had. Nothing has ever gotten the hair out of the undercoat as well as this. His hair is thick and kinky all the way around his buttocks. Normally, he despises me brushing there, and to be honest, most brushes don't do much for that area, but this brush worked perfectly, and he let me do it with little difficulty. The brush was one of his favorite things. I'd use it inside for small, gentle brushing, but my dog's undercoat was in desperate need of attention, and no other brush was up to the task. I don't usually write reviews, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this and wish I had discovered it sooner. I bought it because I needed a new brush and the add-on price was incredible, but I would pay $15 for it. This is far superior to the Furminator. This is simply my viewpoint. I've had the Furninator brush for about ten years and only use it on rare occasions because I despise it. This one will be put to a lot of use.
When I start using this tool more, I'm hoping that it will reduce the amount of shedding I experience on a daily basis. My one corgi's hair is extremely coarse and has been clumping/falling out in clumps. I was able to remove all of the thick undercoat that was shedding using this brush/rake! They appear to be very smooth. br>br>The best part is that I could tell it wasn't harming them in the least! There was no yelping or fighting like there was with the furminator in the past. It was very pleasant to hold, and it moved quickly through the hair without pulling. I wish I'd known about this a long time ago! And for the price, there's no reason to get anything else! With this one, I also purchased a slicker brush, which is fine, but it quickly fills up and is difficult to clean out due to the long corgi hair.
So, my husband and I made the decision a while back to get another dog. After some searching, I was able to locate a German Shepherd at my local humane society, which we adopted! I became a member of a group that specialized in German Shepherds. One day, I came across a post from someone who claimed that a Furminator brush was causing their dog's coat to be cut. I had the same feeling but wasn't sure what it was. Also, my Pom despises the furminator brush because it pulls his hair so badly! So I read the comments, and someone suggested that I purchase a $5 rake from Amazon. So I went ahead and purchased it. On Stella, it seems to work. But back to Jack. br>He let me brush him for about 30 minutes, and his fur was still thick and brushing out. Then I decided to weigh him to see how much hair he shed. Hair weighing in at 8 oz. That's a pound and a half. So my little 8lb dog lost body fat in 30 minutes br>He now appears to be extremely frail. br>However, his coat is in the best shape I've ever seen it in! br>br>I'm looking forward to getting a slicker brush from this company as well!.
I have a Chow, and dealing with the hair on the couches, the floor, the counters/cabinets, the stove, the bathroom, the clothes, the fridge, the air, the food, and, most disgustingly, my MOUTH has been a source of frustration for me for quite some time. I was tired of having to scour the internet for brush reviews that would be suitable for my dog. There isn't a single review on how to de-stress anywhere. I was desperate to get rid of this breed, so I went to Amazon and searched for whatever claimed to work and bought it. My first brush was a dud; it did remove hair, but it took an hour of effort for such little gain, and I still had to deal with a lot of hair loss afterward. At the end of the day, I saw a review of this brush being used on a samoyed, which is a breed similar to the chow, and another review of a furminator being used on a German Shepard, and I almost made the mistake of going with the furminator expecting quick results like the videos show. But the furminator brush looked a lot like my old brush, and at $30 versus $10 for this rake, I made the wise decision to get this brush, and I'm very happy with my decision. It took anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour to brush my one-year-old girl completely, and it removed a lot of hair. I used as many strokes as I could to ensure that there would be no more hair around the house, and I think I'm starting to see a difference! It's fairly durable and feels of good quality for the price, and it performs admirably. If you have a pet with a lot of fur, like mine, or if you're a first-time owner of a breed with a second coat, like me, I highly recommend this brush, or any brush that resembles a rake. It's money well spent!.
