I don't think you should buy it. On day 2, my 30-pound puppy put her paws up on the top, and one of her paws slid down at a connecting point between panels, causing severe pinching. She was in excruciating pain, and she screamed it out. It took a lot of effort to get her paw out of the way (see photo, where the pen is slid down). This is a dangerous area that should not exist. A significant flaw in the design. I'm in a foul mood. I had to make some barriers out of cable wrap ties. I'm hoping the puppy won't chew on the cable ties. This pen does not appear to be safe for puppy. I would not recommend purchasing this pen until a safety feature is added to the connection points between the panels.
It's ideal for my doberman and mini pinscher. This was perfect for keeping them contained without having to put them in their crates; my Doberman even jumps up on the sides and it stays put. This makes me very happy. We'll most likely buy another one for when we go camping.
One of our small dogs couldn't get through the fence because it was too high. He was hopping around and got his paw caught between the top rails. Take a look at the photo of the gap where my finger is. A series of horrible yelps came from the little guy. I needed to get his paw free. I was fortunate to be present when it occurred. I was about to return the item when I realized that the danger could be avoided by turning the fence around. The top rails form right angles in this manner, minimizing the space between them. Take a look at the picture of the fence that is turned upside down.
The pen was simple to set up, and I appreciated the ability to use more or fewer panels as needed. Both the gate and the latch are in excellent working order. Our purchase was a complete success.
Update - Although I had issues with the product, I appreciated the contact with customer service, and they were very pleasant to deal with. br>I was so excited to receive this for my two 9 week old goldens, and although it's a great bit of kit, I'm disappointed because one of the pups has managed to wedge herself in the corners where the stakes go and she's tumbled out, and she's now got her paw stuck where the joints meet to bring the panels together four times. I should point out that this dog is a tripod and has recently had her front leg amputated, so she isn't exactly a wild child. She is, however, a fantastic piece of equipment with a major floor in design - When it comes to small dogs, be cautious.
I used this playpen to keep my dog from getting out of the house, and it worked perfectly. The playpen is sturdy, but it can also be folded and moved around. You don't have to be concerned about your pet destroying the playpen because it is stable. It's an excellent product in general.
The item was exactly as described and arrived in a timely manner. This is a camping pen that we bought. We have three dogs and a pig with us when we camp. We were fed up with their chains getting tangled all the time. We can now set up the pen in any configuration we want at our campsite. Leave our trailer door open so our dogs and pig can come and go as they please, no need to untangle or let them in and out. br>**Update** I've just returned from a camping trip. We love them so much that we're going to order some more. It was wonderful not to have to be concerned about the dogs becoming tangled. The dogs and pig could come and go as they pleased in and out of the trailer.
I have two small dogs under 15 pounds, one of which is a lab puppy (6 months old) who comes to visit frequently. I have the two-foot panels, and they all stay in place. It's simple to set up, but it doesn't fold. If you want to move the panels, they can be laid flat and staked once they've been taken apart. They wouldn't work well if the ground was uneven. I live in Phoenix and recently had to reposition some rocks. This, on the other hand, is fantastic. I'm thinking about ordering another 8-piece set!.
