Questions & Answers

What is the approximate number of 24x24 pieces that you will receive?

Eight (8) 24x24 pieces are included in the package.

Is there any kind of entrance?

I figured that since the last time this question was answered was three years ago, people would appreciate a more current (and correct) response. This pen is now available in five different heights and with or without a door as of January 2017. Select the appropriate height for your dog by clicking the "height" option; After that, select "color:" from the drop-down menu. To choose a color and whether or not you want a door, type "black w/door" into the search box. br>br>Scroll through the photos at the top of the page if you're not sure what height is best for your dog. The very last image shows the maximum height your dog should reach for that height. The 24" pen, for example, says it's for dogs up to 16" tall in the last photo. br>br>Another great feature of this pen is that it comes with a mesh top that provides shade for your dog when used outside in the sun. It also claims to provide "additional protection"; If you live in a coyote-infested area, like I do, never leave your precious pup unattended for more than a minute without a fully enclosed minimum 6-foot fence! br>br>For her dachshund puppy, I got my daughter a 24" with door. The goal is to keep the puppy out of her crate for several hours each day while the daughter is at college. When the snow melts and puppy can play outside, I'll order the top next spring-- with the presence of her daughter- Until next summer, when we'll be able to put up our fence. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b

Is this a suitable rabbit cage? A 36-inch height is what I'm thinking. ?

Without a doubt These are the pens that most rabbit owners prefer. Take a look at the other commenters' excellent responses here. Bunnies can jump on top of an object inside the pen (such as their hay box) and then jump out. They can be naughty at times. > It's a safe bet that you'll be 36" tall, and 42" or 48" tall is even safer.

Is it possible to combine two of these into one?

I'm not sure, but I believe so, given that the panels are all on one string and the ends can be joined to form a pen. To make a pen, simply connect the end of panel set 1 to the beginning of panel set 2, then close it off by connecting the end of panel set 2 to the beginning of panel set 1. Alternatively, attach the two panel sets in the first spot to create one long straight set of panels. br>I hope this information is useful!

One section is PERFECT for small animals
5/5

read the entire review Our plan was to use it for our Giant Flemish Rabbits, who are still babies but have grown to be quite large. I was looking for something to put them in so they could run around and jump in the grass. br>This Midwestern pen with gate was perfect until I realized, "Wow, these rabbits love it, and we need it bigger!" "br>There isn't anything wrong with that. I also discovered a similar size but without a gate from this seller. I thought it was fantastic, and I purchased it as well! br>br>What I like about this pen is that it: br>1) It folds down to a small size and can be stored almost anywherebr>2) It is very well madebr>3) You will receive clips and stakes to tie downbr>4) Sturdy and not flimsy at all when fully uprightbr>5) Perfect for our bunniesbr>6) Super easy to set upbr>br> It became enormous when the extra pen was added without the gate! I did order an additional section to expand it even more! br>br>I wholeheartedly endorse this pen. If you get this one, it will be suitable for a smaller dog such as a Yorkie, small Poodle, Schnauzer, or other similar breed; however, getting another section will be ideal for any larger dog. br>If you believe my review has aided you in any way, please click the "Yes" button below this review. Thanks!.

With a caveat and precautionary padding, it is recommended
4/5

Please be cautious as a buyer. Except for one issue that I believe is critical and should be addressed by the manufacturer as soon as possible, this is serving my toy puppy admirably. The pen is in excellent condition. The problem arises when the lock catch is placed on the bars, leaving a dangerous area in four places where a persistent pet could injure their eye or other body part. Because there is more space between the bars than in other parts of the pen, my toy poodle kept pressing his face into it. The lock ends are extremely sharp and protrude into the space between the bars, posing a serious threat to the face, eyes, and paws. br>br>I shifted the pen's direction and used padding to cover the extremely sharp, exposed sharp ends. Both the top and bottom locks have dangerously sharp ends on the right side. There are four on the right side of the door, two at the top and two at the bottom. Imagine if your puppy lost vision in his right eye as a result of the sharp pieces (4) and the unnecessary extra space between those uprights compared to the rest of the uprights. It would only take equidistant uprights on all sides, with the ones on the right side being the same distance apart as the others. The issue is limited to the extra space on that side. Please correct this before a small dog suffers a serious injury!.

with a few tweaks, it works The pen was nice, but it needed to be tweaked to fit my needs
3/5

To put this in perspective, this is for a 20 pound dog and it was used indoors. br>br>If the dog jumps on the side, this will move around if it's on a floor. This should not be an issue if you use it outside and stake it into the ground. This issue was resolved by mounting it on a piece of plywood. br>br> Because my dog was not used to being in a pen, she was not pleased to be in this one. She jumped around a lot on the side, breaking a few of the dog leash style clips in the process. I went to the store and purchased three zip ties, which I used to connect each section. For my purposes, they were far superior. I'm unable to deconstruct it, and I have no intention of doing so in the near future. br>br> The door is held shut by two bolts that slide over. The issue is that if you shake the door, it will open. For the bolt handles, I used two of the dog clip type clips. This prevents the cans from exploding.

Use it in conjunction with an AmazonBasics or MidWest Crate to create the PERFECT INDOOR SETUP for your puppy or dog =D! Pros:
- br>Sturdy and light-weight constructionbr>- Fully collapsible for convenient storage and travelbr>- TWO door latches to prevent door bends caused by your dog pushing against the top or bottom of the doorbr>- Completely painted and coated, with no exposed rough edges or other flawsbr>- Exercise pen is easy to customize in shape, allowing for multiple setups for your specific room or purpose
5/5

br>br>Cons:
- The included hardware is a little flimsy (with enough pressure, the plastic edge supports can pop off)br>- Welding clamps that join adjacent panels have sharp edges that could cause injury. br>br>Personal Experience: br>br>I have a rat terrier puppy and wanted to find a good, inexpensive exercise pen to create what I consider to be the ideal indoor setup for a puppy still learning to be crate and potty trained. Essentially, I wanted my puppy to be able to stay in a safe and confined space indoors when I was unable to be at home, as well as to be able to travel with us on our frequent road trips to see our extended family. But I'll go over this in more detail later, and I've included photos to demonstrate the setup. First impression: br>br> br>Because our puppy is expected to weigh around 35 pounds, I went with the 36" size. After doing some research, I found a couple of similar models that had similar measurements, features, and were well-reviewed, but I ultimately chose the MidWest Exercise Pen because of the overall positive feedback and reasonable price, as well as the fact that it came in a nice flat box and was very easy to set up. The exercise pen is shipped flat (obviously), but it is already assembled when it arrives. It was only a matter of un-doing. I had to collapse it and then stand it up to get the shape I wanted. It has plastic edge supports that hook over successive panels to reinforce the structure (imagine a plastic guard preventing two consecutive panels from collapsing past a certain angle). It's not overly heavy, so it'll be easy to transport. Unlike some other reviews, I saw no exposed steel or rough edges because the coating and paint covered everything. I also like that it has two door latches to prevent your dog from bending the door by pushing on the top or bottom. Furthermore, the exercise pen's design allows it to be easily customized to form different shapes to fit your room's space (i. e. (e. g. , an octagon, a large rectangle, and so on). br>br>After about a month of use, I am still very pleased with all aspects of the exercise pen. My main gripe is that the hardware and welding clamps (used to connect consecutive panels) aren't as sturdy as I had hoped. The plastic edge supports can easily pop off with enough force, and the welding clamps are a little rough, with sharp edges that could injure an unwary puppy. However, neither of these things have caused me any problems because my puppy does not push against the walls and is unaffected by the welding clips. I'm only observing things. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> br>I am extremely pleased with the MidWest Exercise Pen and have no regrets about purchasing it. The included plastic edge supports are rather flimsy, and the welding clamps provide some sharp edges that could potentially cause injury; however, it is easy to "assemble" and collapse for easy storage and travel, it is easily adjustable to form customizable shapes, and it is all at a reasonable price. My only minor complaints are that the included plastic edge supports are rather flimsy, and the welding clamps provide some sharp edges that could potentially cause injury. br>br>**I also bought an AmazonBasics Single Door Crate to create what I consider the ideal indoor setup for puppies when you're not at home (the MidWest crate should work similarly). The crate is placed inside the pen with its door facing inside, and the pen is encapsulated on each side of the crate door, with the rest of the crate protruding out of the pen (as shown in the photo). Simple swivel keychain hooks (which came with the Exercise Pen) are used to secure the Exercise Pen to the crate. When I'm not home, my puppy can sleep in her crate and enjoy it, but she can also walk around in a safe enclosed area. I also keep a puppy pad in the far corner of the pen area for my puppy to use if she needs to go potty. I've attached a few photos of the set. up =).
