Questions & Answers

Is the medium crate over 36 inches long on the inside?

The inside dimensions are 35" long and 23" wide from front to back.

Which size should I get for my Chihuahua, who easily leapt over the iris 4 panel and destroyed all mesh covers? What is the number of panels?

Hello, the large regular is my recommendation. My yorkipoo, who is tall and good at jumping, jumped over the iris four-panel pen as well. She hasn't figured out how to get out of this one yet. Of course, if your dog is fearless, the tall might be a good choice. If you get the tall, cleaning it will be more difficult because you will be bending over the pen. It's a real pen, with a flexible bottom and four sides, or panels, as the case may be. I recommend getting the largest size possible for your dog so that they have as much space as possible.

Is it possible to combine the side with another crate to make a larger crate?

Hello,br>You can't combine the sides to make a longer crate. The pan only fits one crate because the sides are pinned in place at the top. If you have the funds, I suggest looking into pet crate furniture, which is available on other furniture websites. Indoors, I've seen some lovely ones that are quite long and can accommodate multiple dogs if necessary.

Is it possible for me to buy more hardware? I attempted to contact the manufacturer's website but received no response. ?

I just returned one that was completely devoid of any hardware. I inquired about purchasing the hardware, but was told no.

I wish I'd known about it earlier! This is by far the best pet pen I've ever seen; I only wish I'd discovered it sooner! Isn't it a little on the pricey side? Maybe, but once you have it, you'll find it's well worth the money
5/5

At first, I went for the cheaper option and bought a pop-up pet pen for my dog, thinking it would suffice for a 4pound Chihuahua puppy. The worst decision I've ever made - Because it absorbs all of the urine and poop that missed the potty pads, the pop-up pen was extremely difficult to clean. The pop-up pens can only be washed by hand, which was a constant hassle for a puppy. Another disadvantage of the popup pen was that my puppy could stand on her hind legs and topple it over, allowing her to escape. She was able to jump up as she grew, and she chewed her way out of a mesh topper as well. Several rescues recommended the Iris brand, and they were extremely pleased. Although Iris has a smaller line of similar pens, I still prefer this one (I now own three Iris pens). Here are some of our favorite features of this pen: It took 5 minutes to put together, it glides across hardwood and carpet with one hand, it's super easy to clean, the coating on the side rails doesn't come off even after days of chewing, the locking mechanism only takes two fingers to open/close, and the look goes with any decor. In less than a month, we bought two of these. The smallest one comes first, followed by the largest, as they both work and look alike. We bought the smaller one to "test run" it because we only had one puppy at the time. When we rescued the second puppy, we bought the larger model so they would have more room, and we now use them in separate rooms in our home. In terms of size, this pen can hold shepherds or malinois, but if you don't use the optional cover, both breeds could easily jump out. This is ideal for our Chihuahuas who can jump almost 3 feet because they can't jump out and can't knock it over, even when three of them try to push it over. It's simple to clean up; simply slide the 4-footer out of the way and you're done. Clean the bottom tray by removing the sided "wall. " When you're finished, return the wall to its original position on the track. I mop it in two minutes using a faster wet mop. I also like how the wiring is spaced out enough to give the dogs 100% view of their surroundings but close enough that small dogs can get their heads stuck - When you have a Chi puppy with a head that is only three inches tall, this can be a problem. The sliding door is SO MUCH BETTER than the pop-up pen style with zippers, which is only 5 inches wide. The best part is that the dogs can now play with their safe toys instead of chewing the fabric off the other types of pens. I'd also like to point out that the four corners have interlocking hinges into which you insert a dowel-like pin, which snaps everything together, ensuring that there are no objects in the corners for the dogs to chew on, rust out, or break. We obviously like it because we purchased two of them. We also bought one of the smaller Iris puppy pens to put in our home office, which was too small for this style of Iris pen. But there's a drawback, and I'm going to be honest about it: If you are under 5 feet 2 inches tall, you may have difficulty reaching into the pen from the top due to its nearly 3-foot height. Because the wife is 5'2", the sides of the crate are in her armpits when she bends over. It's tolerable, but some people may find it irritating - If that's the case, take a look at the Iris pen in a smaller size. With the exception of wiping some piddle in the dead center, I'm 5 feet 9 inches and can comfortably reach in. I've learned to use my small swifter for this, and it's a lot easier. It was well worth the money to provide our dogs with a secure and easy-to-clean pen. Unfortunately, the only photo we had at the time was of a crate in the background. As an added bonus, here's a pro tip: If you have puppies or want to keep your food/water bowls off the ground, this pen pairs well with the "MidWest Homes for Pets 2 Pack of Snap'y Fit Water and Food Bowls, 10 Ounces each, for Dog Crates," which you can find on Amazon. This is a great ad for keeping bowls off the ground, or for us, we needed sturdy bowl holders that two roughhousing puppies couldn't knock over.

It comes with a tray and is simple to put together

At night, this pen is where my French Bulldog puppy sleeps. A pad, food bowls, and his bed all fit in the space. It has plenty of space and is simple to keep clean. He enjoys it so much that he frequently walks in alone to nap. In this environment, he feels secure and at ease.

Excellent open-plan layout

For post-surgery, a top crate solution is recommended. Our 65-pound chocolate lab underwent surgery on her hind leg and is now on a 6-week recovery schedule. During recovery, I was kept in a crate for eight weeks. When we take her outside to do her business, we need to use a sling to support her back legs. This crate is ideal because it is sturdy, the door slides out of the way, and the top access saves our backs when we are putting on and taking off the sling and assisting her to stand and walk out of the crate. br>br>On the pad we bought for inside the crate, we're using fitted baby sheets and a mattress protector, which makes cleaning a breeze. I also covered the top with a fitted baby crib sheet to give her a more cave-like feel.

It's a dog suite! This is the best pen I've ever had!! My 2
5/5

The 5 pound toy maltese puppy now has his own apartment, which he adores. It was incredibly simple to put together; all you had to do was click the pins in place. I prefer that the gate slides open rather than opening outwards because it saves space and eliminates the risk of him injuring himself on the door. My only warning is that the bars aren't very close together, so small dogs may be able to stick their legs/faces through them, as shown in the photo. That's how my dog sometimes hangs out. It has enough space for a puppy pad, a bed, a play area, and a dining table. At night, I drape a blanket over half of his bed to create a den-like atmosphere, and he sleeps soundly as a result. Cleaning the floor is a breeze - Simply wipe it down or use a swiffer mop to clean it. I would strongly suggest it!.

Puppy was taken to the vet after eating a plastic liner
3/5

This playpen initially made me very happy. It was simple to assemble, far more appealing than a wire crate, and certainly sturdy enough to contain our Cavalier puppy. Our puppy, on the other hand, started chewing the plastic lining on the wooden rails that make up the base. She ripped off a long strip and ate some of it, which caused her to vomit on and off for the next four days. Two visits to the veterinarian and an x-ray were required as a result of this. ray. Our 8-pound puppy is 14 weeks old and weighs in at 14 weeks. She isn't a strong chewer; she hasn't yet dismantled a plush toy, for example. I'm sure many puppies and dogs can chew off a strip of the plastic lining if she can do it. I believe that leaving a dog alone in this playpen is hazardous.

For those of us who have recently lost a pet, this is an excellent purchase

surgery. It took me two minutes to put this together, which is the quickest I've ever done. I currently own two of these, a large and a medium model. This is a picture of the larger one, which is of normal height. With thin wires and a light-colored design, it doesn't have the same obtrusive feel as an ugly crate. Perfect for my pet as she recovers from surgery and requires containment; I had to buy it quickly and don't have any pet blankets, so I'm using a pillowcase until they arrive, lol. The open top is my favorite feature. When I want to give her more privacy, I simply roll up a twin fitted sheet on top. I needed something quick so I could reach in and pull her up, and open tops like this weren't readily available in my area. This was quickly delivered by Amazon. It works, and I'm very happy with it. Good buy. 👍.
