Yes, this is possible. Because everything is connected, you can't take them apart. Except for the end pieces, which can be easily connected to the ends of two different sets. I only got one for my momma dog and her puppies, but I'm thinking about getting another for when they're older and ready to go outside.
It's a door that you close with a latch. On top of the cage, there is a piece of it.
It doesn't have any feet, no. There are anchors available for use outside. Bungie cords and 1/4" u-bolts were used to keep it in place. To keep the sides from folding in, use a channel to keep it stable. For our two English Bulldogs, this was a great solution.
The 2200 Dog Crate is 24 inches long. It's a Pet Trex 24" Folding Pet Crate Kennel Wire Dog Cage - Whether it's cats or rabbits, you can't go wrong with either. The 2205 is an 8-panel pen with a size of 24 x 24 inches. It's a Pet Trex 24" Dog Exercise Playpen with Gate and Eight 24" x 24" High Panels. So, one is a Kennel (Cage) and the other is a Playpen.

I knew we'd have to keep the chaos under control after having day old puppies for a few months! (We also have two dogs and needed to keep them apart for health reasons. ) ) I bought two of these pens and told my husband about my "vision" for our makeshift enclosure, which he assembled. We added 2x4s around the perimeter to keep mama (and eventually puppies) from knocking it over, as well as a lower shim across one end to serve as a pee pad. To protect our wood floors, I laid down a couple of layers of linoleum, and we cable tied everything together. It was extremely effective! Now I'm working on a smaller version for a Chihuahua Mama and her five little puppies who we're fostering. This is an excellent investment! Sharp edges or paws getting stuck have never been a problem for me - In fact, the last dog mom we had used to crawl over the top of the pen when she'd had enough of the puppies — I made it taller with some cheaper fencing along the top, but she was never deterred, and thankfully never hurt.
At a cost of $26, it's an excellent value. The Pet Trex Playpen (24x24) was an excellent buy at $88. However, be realistic in your expectations. You're purchasing a simple pen that can accommodate a small pet. You'll have to replace it every year if you use it outside. There are a few things to keep in mind: br>br>
- This isn't a stand-alone structure. It will only stay up once the two ends are connected. Technically, you could zigzag the panels to make it stand up, but most pets will eventually find the opening and escape. However, your pet might be unique, so go ahead and try it. D
- The pen is made up of eight 24"x24" panels, one of which has a small gate that swings open for anyone who is unable to step over 24". With the exception of the two ends, the panels are all joined together.
- Once the ends are connected with the provided clips, the pen can be shaped into a variety of shapes - a 4'x4' square, a 2'x6' rectangle, a something x something octagon (sorry, math is difficult), or even a 4-foot by 4-foot rectangle If you want to make your puppy nervous, use a pointed star/shuriken. You can also mix and match different kits to create a larger area or more interesting shapes.
- Take a look at the images below. After just three days in the Florida sun and humidity, rust began to form. It was mostly around the "hinges," which were likely less coated in plastic than the rest of the pen. However, there are areas where the coating is thin or missing, and the wire has begun to rust. $26. 88 doesn't have a lot of money to spend on quality assurance.
- If you're going to use it indoors on a wood or tile floor, be cautious of the wire on the bottom. Vertical wires had been snipped off to a sharp point on one of my pens. It would almost certainly scratch the floor. I had some extra drip irrigation tubing (the flexible rubber kind) that I cut, slit, and wrapped around the bottom wire (see photo). br>br>There are a plethora of pet playpen options on Amazon. If the price vs. features/issues ratio is acceptable, this is a good option.
We were looking for ways to keep our Dalmatian out of mischief for the next three months because he's getting bigger and we'll be returning to work soon. He will be alone for four hours, which appears to be sufficient. I went with the 31x24 because, as you can see from the photo, it's not something he'll outgrow quickly. I used a 30-inch crate as a scale and to show how much room is still available for a puppy pad, toys, and a food bowl. br>br>Although the pen is easily moved around on hardwood floors, adding the crate will prevent our little guy from doing so. It came with a lot of pins for outdoor use, which I'm confident will hold it in place without any issues.
Update: I liked it so much that I ordered two more. Be aware that different versions of this product are being shipped under the same description and pictures on Amazon. Two of the four I received were excellent and looked exactly like the photographs. The other two only have small doors that can't be opened and walked through (one of them was also missing the clips needed to close it). One of the main reasons I chose this playpen over others is that I was able to open the door and walk in without having to disassemble it. It was very disappointing to receive different products under the same listing. I've attached a photo of the partially functional door. Old review: br>br> br>I use it to keep my bunny from getting into mischief. It may not be strong enough to support a large dog if they jump on it, but it is ideal for smaller animals.
Unfortunately, we were unable to make this work. Because it's so light, my 8-week-old lab, who weighs 10 pounds, was able to push it around the room without it losing its shape. I read this in other reviews and assumed it was because the other reviewers were using it with larger dogs, but it turns out that this is true of any dog, regardless of size. It would be great for outdoor use, as it comes with ground stakes, so I could see it being useful for camping and such, but we don't need it for that, so we will be returning it.
Our 4- This play area, where pound puppy can safely run and play without being tethered, is her absolute favorite. We purchased two sets and used them to form a large circle. We didn't use the stakes because we want to be able to move it when it's time to mow the lawn. It held up after she jumped against it.
With our new Chihuahua puppy, this playpen has come in handy. It keeps him in check when we can't keep a close eye on him or when he needs a break to relax. It has enough space for his small crate, as well as his self-contained vehicle. He has a warm bed and toys to play with, with plenty of room for him to wrestle. br>br>We had no trouble setting up the pen because all of the pieces were already connected when we took it out of the box. It folds up quickly and easily when we need to move it to another room or transport it somewhere else. It can also be stored flat. The pen is well-made and meets all of our needs. I like that you can change the shape of the pen to suit your needs, and I would recommend it to anyone who owns a puppy or small dog.
