I used to have one of those plastic top and bottom crates for my puppy when he was first brought I bought this one now because my previous one worked great, but I knew I would need a bigger crate, so I decided to purchase a larger one. It's great that it has an adjustable piece so you can increase the size of the crate as your puppies grow. The bottom insert is a nice feature too. I take it out from time to time and wash it off with antibacterial soap just to keep it cleaner. As well as this kennel, I bought a coordinating (tan) cover to go with it. That does make a tremendous difference in how attractive your dog is, not to mention how enclosed and comfortable he feels inside the You can easily fold it up to store it or move it. My usual Amazon review policy is never to write a review, but I had to write this one. Despite the fact that I can not take my eyes off of my new puppy for a moment, I was worried that I would have to tinker with this crate for too long and let her roam freely. There was no way I could have predicted this! Her bedding was put in after putting up the crate, and it took only about 40 seconds to do. Then I put in the divider (which was easy and sturdy), and I finished off with her crate. The new kennel is so much better than the old large kennel I had with a box in the back to keep the dogs separated. I really like this product and it's a super good price!.
