Questions & Answers
I purchased the large, which measures 42" in length.
This crate has been in my possession for nearly a year. It was purchased for our puppy, who is now just over a year old and weighs around 55 pounds. We still crate him at night, and when he wants out, he slams his paw against the crate. I've also stacked some items on top of the crate, with a total weight of about 15 pounds. 20lbs. The majority of that weight is from boards placed on top to try to evenly distribute the weight and use the sides of the crate for better support, and it has held up well so far. I was concerned about and questioned its sturdiness, but so far everything has gone well. I hope this has been of assistance.
Make use of a throw or a cheap blanket.
It came with a divider, but I have yet to use it, so I can't comment on how well or easily it works or installs.

Because a door isn't sticking out and "could be" closed on my 8-month-old puppy, he now sleeps in his crate. It's a large (42") crate that we keep in our bedroom. When walking around the crate at the end of the bed, I like that the crate door isn't in my way. Although the wire is lighter than that of some of our other dog crates, he makes no attempt to chew on it. I do intend to purchase a 36" sliding door crate for travel, which will be lighter than the crates I previously purchased. It's simple to assemble, and the rubber feet are a nice touch. It should fold up easily as well. To keep the end door locked, I have carabiners on it. I really like how the sliding doors can be locked in various directions. This is a helpful security feature.
My crate was scratched and appeared to be dented in some areas; additionally, my instruction pamphlet was inside the crate and it was very frustrating not to tear the paper // update I barely realized there was a metal clip that holds the crate together lol; additionally, my mother is 52 years old and it was difficult for her to set up the crate so I had to assemble it myself; however, it was not difficult to setup but for an elderly lady it might be (I believe the mail people 7 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF BUYING) - Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter have all been experienced by the crate. The crate is still in excellent condition, as if it were purchased the day before. My mother owns three dogs, and the house is well-built. I recently had company over and the internet workers didn't want my mother dogs out, so I had to put all three of them in the crate. They fit fine, but a larger size might be necessary now that the 6 month dog is growing into the size of the two older dogs.
I bought two of these because I have two German Shepherd puppies who were happy in one because of the metalbr>piece that separated them. br>Then they grew bigger, and now they sleep peacefully in their own crates. They are quite spacious and extremely comfortable. br>These crates are also simple to dismantle and transport. br>I would definitely recommend this product. br>They are a little heavy, so take care when picking them up.
Because it was significantly less expensive, I bought it used. Unfortunately, this was reflected in the item that I received. The box was in bad shape, and when I opened it, I was disappointed to discover that all of the pieces were missing. Rubber feet and corner stabilizers were missing from the crate, one latch was broken, and most importantly, the divider panel was missing! This should've never been allowed to leave the warehouse in the first place. br>br>Now, let's talk about the crate. In comparison to the name brand (Midwest), the wire guage is thin and the overall structure is not as strong. Maybe it would be a little more solid if it had stabilizers? br>br>It was easy to put together, looks great, and the slider door glides smoothly. The slider option was the sole reason I selected this crate. It's ideal for small spaces.
Crate arrived much sooner than anticipated, undamaged, and exactly as described. Other reviews mention metal, but this has not been my experience. The sliding gate is one of my favorite features of the house. If my other dog wasn't so rough with the gates, I'd buy another. I would strongly suggest it.
I needed a large space for my chihuahua, and this was perfect. Sliding doors are a great invention. One wire has popped off, but this does not appear to be a problem because it is located on top, where the chi will never reach.
This is the crate that I use for my 49-pound Dalmation, and it has served her well. Crate training was a breeze with the side and front doors, and now I only use the sliding door. The doors glide smoothly without becoming stuck or making a loud noise as they do so. Over time, the crate's top has bowed inward a little, but I've also stacked things on top of it.
I'm really happy with how simple it was to put it together. construction durability I didn't need to spend three times as much to meet the needs of my Great Dane puppies.
