Ultimately, I ended up with two of these leashes, and they both worked exactly the same way. The dog lets me know when he needs to go potty from a distance. In a matter of days after purchase, the leashes were no longer retractable. If they were in your hands they would never leave, but once they are out you simply cannot get them back. I attempted to return the first one and ordered another one to replace it. In taking the leash to UPS, along with the Amazon return label, they told me that the vendor would require that it be sent directly to them. They further explained that I would have to pay for it. I had no card with me, so I could not pay the small amount. It was the second one I didn't bother with at all. While I was standing in line at the UPS store, having something that costs so little was not worth the time, but I still thought I would share this story with others. It is impossible to recommend this product due to the lack of quality. There is no quality in this product it's just a cheap wallyworld/chinese leash that got some rhinestones attached to it. In the unlikely event of a break, it won't be a hassle to fix It is neither a free return nor a free shipping.

All of the rhinestones on this leash are really lovely, I admire them all. A dog heavier than 10lbs will not fit in this, so I would warn anyone with a pet larger than that. In addition, the leash is a small band and the leash holder is made of a light plastic. The stopper on the band is missing, so it pulls back quickly when you stop and then unstop.

Not to mention that they looked bad and were heavy, they would lock up, wouldn't retract, and even break off. The bling on her collar has received many positive comments. One I bought in 2018 cost me a couple hundred dollars. It was difficult teaching my small poodle mix that I have now (10 pounds) that I was able to leash train as Fixing the length of the leash did not appeal to her. The dog does not pull hard, so if you have a dog who does, a retractable leash is not recommended for your dog. Despite its age, I still find it to be of great value.
