Questions & Answers

Is this product covered by a warranty?

I'm not sure about the warranty provided by the company. I use these leashes to walk Great Pyrenees, and each one lasts about a year. 1 1/2 years of trouble-free service

What is the maximum weight limit for a dog?

Mine was a large dog tape leash with a length of 26 feet and a weight limit of 110 pounds. It's a good start. It's not clear if waterskiing could be done on it, but it's a possibility. )br>On the other hand, it's not so much the dog's weight as it is how hard it pulls. Going after some type of prey, I have a 75-pound ridgeback who will literally pull so hard she will injure you. This leash has never let me down.

Could you advise me on whether I should use cord or tape? Is it as easy to rewind the tape as it is to rewind the cord? Is it as durable? Thanks! ?

Cord is more durable and does not get stuck in the mechanism. The tape is flat and twists around, requiring disassembly and manual rewinding after the kinks are worked out. Yes, if you try to grab the cord with your hand instead of using the brake built into the handle, the cord will cut your hand, but the tape will also cut your hand to a lesser extent. This should only be a problem if you aren't paying attention to your dog and his surroundings. If your dog is under 15 pounds, you can use this method. If your dog is under 20 pounds, the tape should suffice, but if your dog is over 20 pounds, the cord, in my opinion, is the way to go.

I'm looking for a Flexi3 that we've had for years, but the recoil spring has finally given out (unfortunately). Do you know if it's still produced?

The Flexi 3 is no longer produced, in my opinion. Many things aren't made as well as they once were, in my opinion. In 2006, when my dog was about a year old, I purchased my first Flexi 3. It was indestructible and never needed replacing. It once got dragged through the mud and became muddy on the inside, and I assumed it was ruined, so I bought a new one. In every way, the second one was identical to the first. The way it was handled was amazing technology. I got the first one from Centinela Pet Supplies. Feed. I'm not sure where I got the second one, but it was in 2009 or so. I'm still using it on my new dog, which I got after my first died in 2019. I couldn't locate the Flexi 3 when I first got him. I went to Amazon to order another one, but they had models that looked identical but had a new name: Flexi-Lite. a different thing I ordered it because it appeared to be the same as the other. It didn't feel as solid (I cleaned out the one that had mud in it and it worked just as well as it had before). I'm hoping I still have it and will be able to locate it someday). The new one was lighter, but the handle didn't fit my hand as well as the old one did. I've always ordered the large size; 26 feet was the only size available when I first ordered it. My hand isn't particularly large; it's probably a woman's medium size? I, on the other hand, was extremely well adapted to it. When I got the new one, which isn't called Flexi 3 but something else, the handle opening was reshaped, and I couldn't get my hand comfortable in it; it tries to force my hand into an uncomfortable position, pressing against the bone just below my index finger. I looked on ebay and Google to see if I could find an old pre-owned car. Flexi 3 is mine, but I've had no luck with it so far, only a lot of the same. I'm fairly certain this is no longer the same company. I recently acquired a second dog, so I needed to purchase an extendable leash for him. Perhaps other brands are more similar to the Flexi 3.

The build quality is excellent
5/5

We've got a 70-percent chance of winning. high-priced pound three years of energy a mix of lab and shepherd He's still "recovering" from double TTA, but he's been back to full strength since around week eight. We got it because we don't want him to go completely off the rails. We don't want him to be restricted to the park, so we'll keep him on a leash. br>br>I waited three hours. It took me four months to post this because I wanted to be sure it was good. Despite the universal retractable leash cons, we were very happy to say that this device won us over - We've used and dropped this in snow and rain, on asphalt - less control, getting 20 feet tangled around trees/people/dogs, looks from certain other dog owners, etc. br>br>We've used and dropped this in snow and rain, on asphalt - less control, getting 20 feet tangled around trees/people/dogs, looks from certain other dog owners, etc. br>br> I made the mistake of letting my dog run free just the other day. While my arm was fully extended and I was off-leash, I sped to the end of the leash. balance. If you've ever used retractable leashes, you'll understand how ridiculous this is. He sent me flying about five feet forward and rolling down a hill once he had reached the tape's limit. Even with multiple hard-stop events like that, and a 70-percent chance of success, The leash hasn't shown any signs of wear after being used by a pound dog. Advantages: br>br>
- The leash is as smooth as butter when it goes out and comes back in. br>- Just the right length to avoid becoming ridiculousbr>- br>Relatively lightbr>- Strong and well-built constructed and dependablebr>- If you drop it by accident, it chases your dog around in a very lazy manner, which makes my dog a little uneasy, but it's all very amusing. br>br>Cons:
- I'm not sure why the grip wasn't made of rubber. In fact, the entire handle does not impress me in terms of design. It can feel a little slick in the palm of your hand, especially if you're wearing winter gloves.
- When the tape is quickly going out (or coming in), the mechanism that prevents it from going out makes a deeply unsettling noise and causes an uncomfortable vibration. br>br>UPDATE AFTER 10 MONTHS: I'm still going strong and haven't had any problems.

Please do not put your dog to death! Do not make a purchase! I bought it about ten days ago, and it snapped and broke on the fourth use! My little boy is a tugger, and I live in the city
3/5

He's about 25 pounds, but he bought a leash designed for a larger dog out of "confidence. " Thankfully, the leash snapped in my apartment hallway rather than on a busy street. My dog would be DEAD if this happened to him. He is unconcerned about traffic, as are many dogs. This leash is a complete waste of time! I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to avoid this brand; the quality of these leashes determines the lives of our dogs. There isn't a single ounce of quality in this place! I've included a photo of the spot where it snapped, as well as the "humongous" dog who did it! Disgusted to the point of death, I would never buy this product again. because my dog's life is in jeopardy!.

Squirrel Chasers will love this leash! Delilah, my dog, is 70 years old
5/5

pound mix of Bully and Hound She's super-strong, hyperactive, and always on the lookout for birds or squirrels. I used to buy the older version, which lasted about two weeks. Delilah enjoys tugging on her leash, and the ribbon couldn't stand up to her teeth. In December 2016, I purchased a second one, which I used until September 2018! She still chews on the leash and tugs at it, which is how the leash died in September. She'd frayed the ribbon to the point where when she saw a squirrel one Sunday, she bolted and the leash snapped. br>br>One of the reasons I bought this leash in the first place was to avoid having to walk through yards at night in the dark, where I'd likely step on dog poop that some jerk hadn't bothered to clean up. But it was a lifesaver for me because she's always chasing squirrels, playing with neighbors' dogs, and generally being a crazy excitable fool. For the past few weeks, I've been using a regular leash, and I believe we both missed the freedom that this leash provided. This is a newer version of the old leash, and the old one was fantastic, so I'm confident that this one will be as well. There are flaws, to be sure. When I dropped it a few times, the ribbon would become stuck, but it would always straighten out. Because of my dog's strength, I would occasionally get blisters on my hands from gripping the handle too tightly. Also, yes, my dog has ripped two leashes, so a rubber handle would be nice. One every two weeks, and almost two years. However, these can be easily remedied by not dropping the leash, paying attention to how I hold the leash, and teaching my dog to stop tugging at the leash (I've tried!). ) but it's not worth it to give it anything less than 5 stars because this is a retractable leash that allows my big strong 70lb dog to chase squirrels, play, explore, and run ahead of me without me constantly worrying that I'm going to break my arm one of these days.

I'm relieved to have received it
5/5

I adopted my baby from our county animal shelter about a month ago; she weighs 50 pounds. In any case, she's STRONG and FAST. She's a Whippet or Greyhound Mix, and she's around a year old. Because I don't have a fenced yard, this was one of my first purchases. br>br>I enjoy using this leash, but I've learned to be cautious. br>br> First, I secured the leash grip with a safety strap after she spotted a rabbit, bolted, and yanked it from my grip, causing the leash to recoiled and strike my small dog in the head. I made the strap out of the 1/2" slip leash the pound gave her, but I considered using paracord instead, as shown in the photo. Second, I purchased an Easy Walk no-pull harness for her, which made a world of difference. If she builds up enough momentum, the harness will spin her around to face me. (Plus, she doesn't have to worry about the harness pulling on her neck. ) This irritated me a lot. )br>br>Finally, I've learned to better control the leash if I anticipate her chasing or pulling, so I hit the brake on the leash. With or without the harness, the brake is capable of stopping her. br>br>This is a high-quality item, and I'm confident it will keep my dog safe. The brake has always held and the recoil has never failed.

THIS IS NOT A GOOD LEASH
3/5

This is the first Flexi leash I've owned in five years, and it's of poor quality! I couldn't use the rubber cushion handle because I didn't have it. As a result, the palm of your hand becomes sore and hurts when a larger dog pulls and is active. In addition, the long leash became tangled in the retractable system.

I returned the item because I was looking for something similar to the one I had before
3/5

I returned the item because I was looking for something similar to the one I had before. Flexi has updated their product, and the tape is now too thin, and the clasp is not as strong as before.
