My husky already had the black size 3 (black), but when I couldn't find the size 3, I tried the size 2. Although the 2 fits him, the 3 is much tighter around his nose so he noticed it on his face more than the 2. In both cases, pulling is greatly reduced. Before the Halti, I had a hard time walking my husky but now we are able to take walks almost easily. Because I don't like him walking in front of me, it still takes time for them to learn not to pull on the collar. Finally, after a lot of persistence, he learned to take things easy around me.

Original Halti has never broken for me in years. I have used it even on large, unruly dogs with no problems. In addition to needing one that was smaller, I liked the idea of the padded nose band, and I liked the fact that it was available in other colors than I had no problems with it fitting and working, but when my dog began applying pressure to it, the underside of the nose piece broke. Due to our travels, I missed the window when to return it. I would have returned it if I hadn't been traveling. The lab I used it on weighed 70 lbs.
