Questions & Answers

Will it be big enough for a red-crowned amazon to fit inside?

For an Amazon, I'd most likely choose the large size. I'd imagine that for a bird the size of an Amazon, width would be an issue. I have a quaker parrot, and he loves it.

Isn't it possible for an african gray to pierce the front mesh with its teeth? It appears to be thin and light. Is it possible for them to breathe in it as well? Thanks. ?

The material is extremely breathable. The term "screen" refers to a metal mesh that is both safe and effective. …. It's too tough for my Green Cheek to chew through.

Is this suitable for a cockatoo with an umbrella?

Hello. Our 1309 is the larger of the two, and it can fit small to medium bird breeds with beaks to tails ranging from 7" to 18" long. The diameter of the interior perch is 1/2. We hope this information is useful.

What size do you think a green cheeked conure should be?

I bought the small one for a quaker parrot and it's the perfect size; since Conures and Quaker parrots are similar in size, I'd recommend going with the small one.

Something to do with four birds in a bag
5/5

I went for the tiniest bird bag available. For a size comparison, I've attached some photos. I'm short, about 5'2", so the bag is a little big for me, but it's probably a good travel size for someone who isn't. I, for one, am a hobbit. I was able to fit four Green Cheek conures in there, which is probably not a good idea for long periods of time, but there appears to be enough space for one. Two borbs of a small size.

Even through a car accident, I was able to safely transport my conure! This was purchased in order for me to transport my 15-year-old conure to my new home, which is 140 miles away
5/5

I'd always done short moves before, and I'd just put her in a box and hope she didn't have a heart attack on the 2 mile drive, but I wasn't sure she'd make it through the 140 miles. I put her in the travel carrier for practice time when I got it; it's big and sturdy, and the perch made her feel at ease. She was perfectly content to spend an hour or two a day in there. When it came time for the trip, I put her inside and she was completely calm as I slid it into the back seat. br>Halfway to our new house, my car had a flat tire. I was stopped at a red light when the story came to an end. The carrier was still sitting in the back seat, with Fiona looking calmly at me through the window when I first looked at my bird. We continued on our journey until we arrived at our new home after the accident stop. She adjusted as if nothing had happened after I set up her normal cage and placed her inside. br>Not only was she transported safely and calmly, but she also survived a car accident in the carrier and was far less stressed when she arrived at her new home than either my dog or cat had been. She adores her new digs, and I'm relieved that she made it through the journey unscathed. I wish I had this carrier when I was younger!.

My Cockatoo and I are not chewers
3/5

I was initially impressed by the steel mesh windows on this carrier, which appeared to be quite sturdy. That was not the case with my female Goffins Cockatoo. Size was not an issue for her, even by Goffin's standards. I spent several days acclimating her to the carrier, and when it came time to leave for the long drive to the vet, she was fine. However, she chewed a hole in one of the windows and got her beak out in less than ten minutes. So I let her out, and we sat in the front seat of the car on our way to the veterinarian. I returned her to the carrier after our appointment, and we drove home. She screamed for a few seconds before going silent. What did I see when I shifted my gaze to the passenger seat? My little buddy had managed to force the zippers open and was on his way out. In fact, she ruined the zipper track to the point where it no longer works. I suppose it's garbage. While containing a cockatoo in this carrier may not be a fair test, I believe any parrot who enjoys chewing will be able to destroy it. If your bird isn't a chewer, it looks very nice and well constructed.

It's a tough shell, and it's actually a lot harder than it appears
5/5

My bird despises all carriers because he's a flighted bird, but this is the best and safest one I've ever had. Very sturdy, the shell is actually much harder than it appears, it's easy to carry, incredibly easy to clean, and the perch isn't as thin as most dowel perches, which is a plus. The small size is ideal for my Australian budgie and could probably fit a green cheeked conure, but I wouldn't recommend putting more than one bird (of any species) in it because birds are prone to fighting in confined spaces, and there isn't enough room for birds to get away from each other in a carrier this small. Overall, this will be ideal for my upcoming move as well as vet appointments.

Our bird loves it, and it's a great travel cage! This travel case was purchased to allow us to take our Green Cheek Conure on vacation with us, and it worked perfectly! It's a soft case with some structure to it
4/5

There is a removable built-in perch on the inside, as well as a removable liner on the bottom for easy cleaning. The only issue we had was that I ordered the large one instead of the small one. It was entirely my fault! The large size was great in terms of space, but when we took it on a road trip, it took up a little too much room for us. I did return it and will be ordering the smaller size; it also lacks places to clip in toys or other items at the top. My bird has a few favorite toys, and a couple of hang tags on the top would have been extremely helpful! I bought some sticky commad hooks and used them to hold his toys, which worked fine.

This is a very roomy travel carrier that is ideal for short car rides and transportation
5/5

This case was purchased for my GCC, but it will easily adapt to a larger bird if I adopt one. br>It fit perfectly in the passenger seat of my car, and the framing retained its shape even after I secured it with a seat belt. br>I'd prefer the screens to be a little clearer. My man was irritated because he couldn't see very well. br>After use, cleaning is a breeze. br>It's a must-have.

This bag is well-made, but it is far too small
3/5

This carrier is well-made, but it is too small for my Green Cheek Conure, especially when the perch is in place. A budgie or a canary would probably benefit from this, but a cockatiel or a GCC would not.

This cage was ideal for Parrot, and he seemed to enjoy himself! Because I live in a cold country, This cage was ideal for my Quaker Parrot, and he seemed to enjoy it! Because I live in the cold country, this was ideal for transporting him to the veterinarian
5/5

The perch served its purpose admirably, and you can easily remove it if you need to accommodate a smaller animal. I chose the larger of the two, and the price was fair and the quality was satisfactory. I would strongly suggest it.
