Yes, a compartment would be ideal for your lab.
To put the box together, what will I need? Is everything you need there?
No, for the top, bottom, and sides, you'll need plywood. Pressure treated was what I used. In addition, I framed out the plywood with 2x2 pressure treated inside corners. I also used rhino liner on the outside. My three boxers like it a lot.
