I calculate 17 inches as the depth from front to back, 13 inches as the height from the floor to the top of the upper step (on mine, that number is probably more like 13 1/2 inches), and 14 inches as the A second note about the depth of the steps the bottom step is 8 1/2" deep, and the top step is 8". I love the stairs and so do my dogs. Although I rated it a 3 star because I ordered the 1 stair first (on the left) to make sure it would work for my dogs. I ordered the 2 stair (on the right), but the width of the stairs was different and the covering changed.
Exactly as pictured, the 4 step stairs I purchased are in excellent condition. The height of our bed includes a king-sized mattress, elevated frame, and box spring, which together make it about 26 inches high. The fact is. My normal buying process does not require me to write a review. It is only fair to let the public know that this item is not just for dogs. In the last few days, my 11-year-old cat was having a difficult time jumping onto the bed. His jumping powers aren't what they once were. It was hysterical to see him fall flat on his face jumping up on our bed, only to grab a pawful of blanket and fall butt first. It happened too fast for me to film, but I know you will find it hilarious. Regardless, I ordered up a 2 step pet ramp from Zinus. I love it and so does my "Boots. " There is even a part of him that likes to lie on top of the steps. There is a very soft feel to the cover. There is nothing but foam in there. Hence, it is lightweight and easy to move from one room to another. only thing I take exception with is the statement that is stated under the description of this item. It states "NO Assembly Required" which I find outrageous. I call BS on that! It was a totally separated process for me. My brain was fried just trying to figure out how to put this together with This stupid picture is all I have. There was a lot of irritability there. You are lucky if you are able to put this together if you order it. Having finally figured it out myself, I was grateful. The only reason I gave it 5 stars was because of my cat. It is great that the XL pet stairs are available for my two small dogs. With our bed being so high and the stairs making it so simple for the dogs to climb up and down with ease, there is no trouble or worry for them. There was a large box containing the steps, and a smaller box containing the steps inside it I am very pleased with the packaging and the speed of the delivery. After including the foam blocks in the material, the foam blocks had to be zippered into the material. We were able to complete the entire process very quickly. I am amazed! Considering the money I spent on this item, I feel that I am a lucky winner The rubber stays in place very well on my wooden floors due to its high quality and non-skid properties The puppy I have is two years old. Despite weighing only 10 pounds, my little princess is easily able to get on and off the bed, as the covering is soft and comfortable. The foam is safe, and it provides the right height for getting safely onto the bed while giving me peace of mind that I can get into the bed safely.
I will be able to fit my 14lb senior dog in this bed. There is no need to zip up the fabric (just unzip it), so it is easy to wash separately from the foam blocks. As a whole, I recommend this book.
