These could support a 70-pound animal, but if they have a stiff leg or have trouble stepping or climbing, they might not be the best choice. The steps are exact replicas of those shown in the illustration. My dog suffers from arthritis and occasionally has difficulty climbing one of the stairs (height). There are ramps with "scalloped" steps that are similar. If the animal can't take a big step up, make it a little softer, rounded, and easier. (This is just something to consider if the puppy continues to have issues.)
It isn't swaying in any way. It slips a little on carpet, but when backed up against something (bed, couch), it's quite stable. Without wobbling or tipping over, I can stand at the far end of one step.
The brown is most likely the one with the most requests.
There isn't a new cover available anywhere that I've looked. This one, on the other hand, has a zipper that allows you to remove it for washing. You'll almost certainly need a new set of stairs by the time the cover is thrashed.

They're also gentle on her arthritic legs.
These instructions are fantastic! They're the perfect height for our bed and couch, and they're also very sturdy (while remaining light). It took some time for our dog to trust them, but she now relies on them all of the time.
Pro:
- The top stair can be unzipped to make storage easier or to adjust the height as needed.

- If you have hardwood floors, you may want to put something on the bottom to keep it in place because some dogs (like mine) rush up the stairs, causing them to move and slip around. To keep the stair from slipping, I used the leg of my coffee table to snuggle up against the base's side and wedge it between it and the couch.
I bought it for my three-legged cat so she wouldn't try to claw her way up my couch. We had to entice her onto the stairs with treats or cat nip the first few times, but once she got used to them, she liked them and preferred to lie on the top stair rather than the couch. They appear to be made of a fairly firm foam, so I believe they would last indefinitely for lighter animals, but I'm not sure how they would hold up against heavier animals over time. My 70-pound dog used them once (that I saw, lol), and the stairs sank in as she stepped on them, but they quickly regained their shape. They are a little on the pricey side in my opinion, but they are nicer than some of the other ones I saw and they go well with my living room.
I assumed this would be beneficial to him, and I was correct. It took him some time to get used to it, and some treats to get him to climb up the first couple of times. I think he's a little big for the stairwell, and the softness of it frightened him at first, but now he's enjoying his newfound freedom and coming and going whenever he wants. It takes up some space, but it's well worth the space.
My personal experience has been the opposite. It's fairly simple to tip. The colors are fantastic. wide. . However, both sides must be anchored. A denser step is required. in order for pets to feel safe My terrier/Dascuand mix, who weighs 18 pounds, is wary. I'm working with him to teach him how to use them, though.
Unstable. For pets weighing less than 20 pounds, this is a good option. My French bulldog (approximately 30 pounds) has the four steps. It's cute, but he can't climb up the bed with us because it's too unstable. When he wants to get out of bed, he gets nervous and takes a few minutes. A smaller, lighter dog, I believe, would be better.
My human mother surprised me with a huge box one day, and I couldn't wait to see what she would do with it! I was bouncing up and down and wagging my tail! She dangled my favorite toy from the top and placed it at the foot of her and daddy's bed. "Holy wiener schnitzel, I got on the bed all by myself!" I exclaimed as I dashed up the stairs. "Now I can go up and down whenever I want, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up I hear Mommy gushing about how great these stairs are for me and my back, and how pleased she is that they even match the bedroom walls, but all that matters to me is that I can curl up and sleep on the bed whenever I want. It's as if I own the bed! I had a whole king bed to myself. Yes, Mom, that was an excellent purchase!.
