As it was all one piece, it did not require assembly since it arrived to us ready to use. Our experience with it has been great, and it is very I hope this is helpful!
Dogs vary in their behavior, according to me. We originally bought this for a dachshund, but our 20 pound dog did not like it at all. However, our new rescue dog will love it. There is foam around and I think it scares older dogs. My dachshund used to climb on an old wooden one, but the steps were too deep and far apart to use as a ladder. I think you might be better off buying something with foam for a dog of 55 pounds. As soon as we got our new pup it was obvious it was a good step so we kept it. I wish you the best of
In my bed is a pretty high one too, and my little Maltese can hop easily in and out of the bottom without issue. He was reluctant, but offered treats both from the top and the bottom and he was good to go. There are now a lot of leaps and bounds. The stairs are great!
There are about 5 inches between each stair (or floor), or about 4 inches between each floor There are four stairs in total that are about 20 inches high.

It has a high headboard, and he hurt himself when he jumped off. It seems like they would be perfect! The height looks perfect. You should be fine. Secondly, the steps' width and height are not proportioned for a small dog, so my little guy feels uneasy. Thirdly, the foam on the stairs is not stable the foam shifts just enough to make my little guy feel anxious. As a result, I will have a carpenter build a wooden “case” into which the steps will slide, so (hopefully) they will be stable enough to ensure my little boy will be able to use them, despite their awkward In all other cases, they are of no use to you. It is important to know that you will only be getting foam with no other support, and because of this, the foam is not the best in this category. I've slept on hotel pillows with more stiffness and more support.
Human toes don't have any problems with it. In order to protect her back as she jumps up on our beds, we have a mix of Chihuahua and Dachshund. In the past couple of times I have patted the steps instead of lifting her up, and while she ran around the steps initially as if they were obstructions, she now walks right up the stairs There's something I really like about these steps they're light and silky. My bedroom has them, so I cannot hurt my toes, because I have them in a place where I can trip over them. When I measure my steps, they are just a little shorter than my bed, so it will be just a little further than my bed, but all is well.
It makes it easier to get my tiny 6 pound, twelve year old Chihuahua on to the bed by way of these steps. When I used to place the ottoman on top of the ground, my dog would land on the side of the ottoman instead and sometimes he would hit the side. In addition, he wouldn't even bother attempting to open it if the room was dark. Having nothing better to do, he stood For him to become familiar with going up and down the steps, it took about a week. My only way of coaxing him to climb or descend a step was by putting his front feet on the step. He now knows how to do it like a pro. It is still a lot easier for me if he is cautious and goes slowly. In my opinion, I would not buy this for dogs that weigh more than 20 pounds. When the foam is placed under a great deal of weight, it compresses easily. In the case of a dog jumping off the top step onto the bed instead of stepping on the bed, the steps will pull away from the bed slightly. In the case of a large dog, it could be enough to cause it to fly because of its light weight. If you have carpet, this might not be an issue for you since I have hardwood floors.
The stairs were a little more expensive than others I could have chosen however, they appeared to be a more attractive design on the internet, so I was hoping my extra expenditure would be shown in the quality once Upon receiving the items, I was dismayed to find the edging strings had holes hanging out (I had started trimming some but then realized how many were there). The following mistake has been made There were stitching issues, where they traced the thread As soon as you put your name on something, you are confident in it, so I hope a new set of stairs will be sent my way or I might get a refund. As a service dog owner, these issues are important to me. I was supposed to receive a mattress that was extra large and firm, but these are so soft, there is no support whatsoever. She moves them quite a bit when she climbs up them because she is so small. the child is really excited and runs a bit fast, but not too.
The answer is yes for 5 out of 10. Since purchasing these steps a year and a half ago, they have been in use. The devices are used on a daily basis. We noticed a few months ago that the began giving way when our dog used As of right now, the foam has become softer and more pliable. If they pile up under her, they will be unusable.
Personally, I don't mind having them replaced after a year and a half if they are not as expensive as they were. She had no problems using them up until now. There was also a wood option and a plastic option, but neither of them appealed to her. I will therefore be reordering this book.
This 5lb pug is a real beast! A hip replacement was performed on him when he was 8 months old. Now, he is six years old. Running up and down the stairs will not hurt him, and the stairs are very forgiving if kicked with your feet! This would work well for my portly pug. I don't know about bigger dogs, but for my small dog, it would work This is a great place to be! I received the item on time and exactly as described.
As a result of its inconsistency, my dogs (French bulldogs) are afraid of it because it is not as solid and as steady as the last staircase The foam inside the structure is fine and it looks nice, though I wish it was firmer, as it appears to be too soft and unstable for the dogs to climb up or down. However, they do well with the rest of the equipment. The product is good overall, but the foam inside could be firmer.
Under the steps, there was an additional step to be added. The top of the bed was out of reach. Having the girls sit on it now means they can get up and down independently.
