Questions & Answers

Two different pictures of sage colored steps show the sage in a completely different light. Is one more accurate than the other?

It appears that the sage color is more accurate in the standalone item photo (at least in my monitor) than in any of the ones we have purchased. Photo with the dog/lady in it appears to be more faded (or lighter) than our own (or maybe it's a photo of a earlier model showing the "Pet Gear" logo in contrasting beige color The answer is unclear to me). It had the same sage color as the rest of the steps and the letters "Pet Gear" underneath.

Does the staircase have a height limit?

This Pet Gear Easy Step II Pet Stair measures 22"L x 16"W x 16"H in size. 6" in height and 12" in depth at the top, this staircase has a step height of 6". A depth of 11" on the 2nd step and a depth of 25" on the first step This is "5". You may want to measure the height of your pet to see if the step height of 6 inches would work for them.

Can you tell me what material this is?

The steps are entirely plastic with squares of carpet on top of them. However, it is well made and very sturdy even though it is plastic. My dog jumped right up on it and it didn't move.

When standing from the ground to the bed, what height is it?

There is 22 inches between the ground and the top of the mattress. This 10lb. package is for you. Habernnese adapted quickly to their new environment. The daily use of it is a part of her routine

I have 3 little kids, and this would be perfect for them
5/5

Even without reading the directions, I was able to put together the steps without needing a single bit of assistance. They have carpet squares on them so my dogs don't slide around when they are going up or down Also, it is possible to clean the carpet squares if they need to be cleaned. There are 3 dogs in my house, one of which is as small as a cat. One needs stairs to get onto the bed alone. My favorite set of stairs out of all the three that I've owned is this one.

Steps that are easy to assemble and sturdy
4/5

My dog used to use a cloth-covered storage box as his step when I watched him use pet stairs for several years, however I found them to be too flimsy, too narrow, and too steep, and he eventually figured out a way around it. In the recent past, it has occasionally taken a little bit of a turn in the low side, then In my bedroom, there is a window seat between my bed and the window seat. He needed steps between the two so he could climb up to get onto either bed. Despite the tilt of the steps, I had earlier dismissed this one, however I have to admit that it seems to have the best probability of working. A 17 lb Shih Tzu aged 14 years old lives with me. It took me less than an hour to assemble with no tools and fit perfectly in the space I needed them in. My dog was not sure of these steps at first, even though he had been using them for years. I used a treat to encourage him up and down a couple of times and he slipped on the plastic edges leading him not to In order to fix that, I covered the steps in a heavy dog blanket, which also had the benefit of anchoring them down more firmly on the floor. Next I used a treat again to get puppy to go up and down, then I let him go. Ever since, he has used them every time.

My daughters two dogs (a terrier mix and a lab mix) both saw them and decided it was fun to go up and down on them too. The steps were "owned" within hours of their setup by all three dogs and one tween boy, so using them was a no brainer Here's the problem. I appreciate how sturdy these steps are the assembly was easy, and they should last for a long time. and that is why I gave it a four out of five star rating. '1) All the dogs slipped on the plastic around the top of the steps because it was about an inch wide and rounded. To prevent it from happening, I had to cover the piano with a blanket. There needs to be no gap between the carpeting and the wall. 2) Part of the steps are hollow and very light, which made the dogs feel insecure at first, as they weren't sure whether they could put their weight on them. This problem also seemed to be resolved by adding the heavy blanket. In any case, I think I would have added a weight at the end of the dowel that steadied from the inside. * Note There didn't seem to be a tilt in the steps It is a significant issue. The dogs did not seem bothered in any way It is sometimes even possible for them to sit or lie themselves on the steps.

Exactly the right size for our Yorkshire Terrier! The dog is a 6lb yorkie nearly 2 years old and was having difficulty getting into the bed after we added a 3" memory foam topper to our pillow top king This pet stair set is the perfect combination of height, size, and price
5/5

I searched Amazon for pets stairs that would work for my dog. Ruger had no problem getting in our bed after a couple of seconds once he realized that these made getting in that much easier for him. During the assembly, my husband took about 5 minutes. Shipping was fast and assembly was straightforward. I really like this product!.

I am pleased with my There is a good deal for this product
5/5

I have a senior and a younger puppy, and the older pup has trouble getting up off of If you bought the same thing at a pet store, you would have paid twice as much. The height is perfect for my couch and works for my dogs. Installation is easy all you need to do is click the pieces of the stairs into place. All the steps have small carpet pieces on them that can be washed and attach to each step via Velcro. You can rest assured your dog will not slip while using them because of their excellent traction. My bed also needs a similar cover, so I will be buying another one for it.

I like it
4/5

This is a good size for dogs that are larger. There has been trouble getting my dog into bed due to his age, and this was just what he needed I have to continue to help him feel secure while using it, but it works as it should. The brown one that I bought was for my parents' place, and somehow it bent and he fell through. He was in so much pain and I was A lot of weight on the joints caused it to be weak, leading to its collapse. My experience with the company was excellent they replaced the valve, and since then I have had no issues, I just make sure he uses the front valve instead of the side This is a great product because it is lightweight and is easy to take apart if necessary. In the case of tile or laminate wood floors, you may want to put a mat under it so your pet can't move it around and fall out of place when using Thanks to your product, I found something that works and my dog doesn't seem too upset with using my bed now that he cannot jump right on or off of it. It was not as wide as the other one I used to have, and there were more steps. We had a terrible time using it. It was difficult to find the right width for his stride because he had a long stride. Dogs of medium to large size will love these. I have a 90lbs dog and he does well with it.

I am so happy that I received I am so happy I bought it! Over the past six months, I've noticed that my dog has more trouble jumping on and off of the bed now that she is 12 years old
5/5

For the first week, I had to put a lead on her to get her to use the steps in the house. She hesitated and would try to back away, and I finally had to help her lift her back legs because she was unfamiliar with the steps. On the second week, she jumped off or on the bed just like she always did until I sat to block her path and coaxed her to climb up the steps to sit with me again (having to teach her how to use her legs to get up the steps this time). On that day, I thought it was a waste of time and money, but by the third week, she was automatically doing these steps without my advice, and by the end of the month with them, she was doing them automatically. like waking up to the sound of her walking down the stairs, and she uses them to get off and on the bed on her own about 90% of the time. I'm sure this is both saving her back and joints, and I'm pretty sure she is as well. Oh yeah, and putting it together is pretty simple.
