Questions & Answers

My dog is only 50 pounds, I have a very tall bed, and my dog is only 50 pounds. Is this something he will be able to handle?

If your pet is larger and fully capable of walking/jumping, that will factor into the decision. A step has a surface height of 6 inches at the front and slopes upward. There is an 8th step in each step. The depth varies from 5 to 9 inches. A total of 30 people are involved in the setup. From the top edge to the top of the page, it is 5 inches tall. Therefore, if your dog is able to walk up these steps, and your bed is 36 to 37 inches tall, then it will be fine. He has to jump up the steps and onto the bed if the bed is much taller than that or he can't walk up them. As the other respondent said, your 15-pound cat with two bad legs might have a problem, but I have walked up some of Since I cannot tell you the breed of your dog or the height of your bed, I can not offer any useful advice.

Under a soft cover, are there hard steps?

Steps in hard plastic beneath a cover in soft plastic. My hands were a little tense when I snapped them

It is the largest. What are the dimensions of the object? This list applies to lower models only. ?

You should include the dimensions Because of my small dog and high bed, I have to get up fairly early. It is no problem for her to climb and descend. Our lives are full of travel, and we always have might think that it would be pretty big to carry around, but that is not the case. In addition to storing things into the cubbie holes it makes, we also use it for storing other things. These are great steps, I hope they help you.

The height of the bed will be able to fit, but the fridge to the left of the steps may be in the way. The top three steps on the side are 3 feet high, can they be trimmed to fit?

Approximately 33" wide, Pet Gear's Easy Step Deluxe Soft Step measures 33." wide, 33" high and 60" long. It measures 5 inches long by 16 inches wide by 30 inches high. Five inches high. If you would like your pet to get to the top safely, we recommend measuring where your pet will reach, so that you can determine if these steps are high enough for them to reach.

I have a bag of cardboard! I would not recommend this piece of junk to anyone
3/5

In the case of the manufacturer, he is committing outright fraud It's a bait-and-switch. They call this a deluxe version of the Easy Step in plastic. was sold as a hard plastic structure with a soft cover. In the bag of cardboard I received for $64, there was only cardboard. A cloth bag of cardboard.

An attempt at swinging and missing
3/5

I got my hands on It is their height that makes them stand out. Covers like these are not only terrible, but are a potential health risk for pets as well. The 7 year old French bulldog she was walking had enough torque in her step for the cover on the phone to literally slide out and away, causing her to slip off She had a terrible time navigating a set of stairs. A second attempt is not an option for her. My child didn't blame her at all, if I were her I would have destroyed them right away. Every step has an angle of inkind that is steep enough to cause problems as well. There's no way your dog is going to run around the whole room on one step and then chill out. In particular, the dog would slide right off the stairs if the cover was still on them. The height is really nice, so I'm upset about this. In our very large living room, we have a very high window at 36 inches from the floor and ever since I bought a new couch with higher backs and less thickness, my little lump of joy cannot jump as high or balance on the thin back cushions it has been dependent My house will need another set of stairs, so I'll have to build them It is not likely that someone would buy these because of the unusable cover, and the crazy incline of the steps.

It's sturdy yet soft and isn't at all slippery at the same time
5/5

We need these stairs to get where we want to go! In the last few weeks, my husband and I purchased a much higher king size bed than we used to own. As a result, our weiner dogs were not able to reach the top of the bed on our old pet stairs, and they cannot jump up because of their height and the fact that their backs are so long that they shouldn't. Having said that, we bought another set of pet gear steps, but made them too hard for the dogs to use and were just so There is a perfect balance in these stairs! It has a nice plush cover covering the hard stairs. There's nothing more we love than This is just the right height for the dog bed, they aren't slippery, and the dogs aren't scared of them. This staircase is so well used even the cat uses it. In some spots, they can be a little tricky to put together. When my husband got home from work from work, I had to have him help me pop in a few tougher parts but they're very sturdy and can definitely hold some weight. The other cool thing about these stairs is that no tools are required to assemble them. Despite not being particular about following directions, I was able to complete it without issue, so anyone can! I would be glad to answer any questions you may have!.

There have to be two hacks or it could become a Then it is great, but if those problems are fixed
4/5

Two things the company could have done to improve the rating would have increased it from 4 to 5 stars- It was necessary to a) provide a way to secure the covering to the steps and b) build it so that the bottom is slightly heavier than the top. I will now describe the two hacks. Having double sided Velcro to put between the covering and the steps is the best way to fix a) and there are even slots on the steps to insert it into. In theory, it does make it harder to wash the cover, but the covering still slips as soon as your pet puts their paws It also means that I don't think there is a millimeter of extra fabric in that cover, so you have to stretch it really tight so that it fits the steps. If you don't secure it down, it rides up between the steps, almost like a slip and slide. A good friend of mine recommended it to me for the purpose of helping my cat who has a wonky hip, but it almost didn't work when I first tried it on him Putting some weight on the bottom will help. Although I have not yet fixed b) I bought it to go by the bed, but because it is tippy, I am using it somewhere else where it will not fall over. It is going to be heavier on the bottom than it is right now. I am not sure what I will glue to the bottom sides, but it is tippy because the engineering isn't really balanced. The item may appear flat, but anyone with a little knowledge will know that it must Many of the good designs that would have been excellent designs are suspected to have gone to waste in the Dilbert type scenario where they only report the fact that it is lightweight and that they save X dollars. There is a good thing about it - it works I was very pleased with how easy it went together It was good that I had to push a little, tight and good. I do not quite understand why the cat likes the slope on the stairs, but it seems as though she does. The tablet has been in my possession for a couple of hours. Using greenies got him on it the first time, but he is going up and down the slide instead of jumping and he is not a fan of new stuff it seems he has a good instinct for what is best So maybe he will be able to heal his hip.
I am not happy about the way materials used look like they are being minimized I think too much effort has been put into that direction. It shocked me at first how cheap it was - I was pretty enraged at first that it was so cheap I had a hard time putting the zipper on the first time because the cover was so tight and the zipper was so cheap, it split. Oh yeah, that zipper shouldn't be used very often to wash it. I wouldn't zip it and unzip it frequently to wash it. I wasn't happy about having my afternoon hijacked by trying to figure out how to stop that cover from sliding. It just so happened that I had exactly enough double-sided tape to complete my project It is important to use sticky velcro that has This model was the only one I could find that had a good rise - and I just added the weight and the velcro to make it work Most of the rest seemed like they were built for tiny puppies and Since it's the right size for my large cat, I've ordered another so that I can figure out exactly how to make the other one. I've also added some velco to my shopping list and given myself a deadline for when I'll complete it. It's actually possible to hack the system a third time A second example of poor engineering is the slope on the stairs that was patented We don't want to go up that slope It is very difficult for my cat not to slip on it as he walks Having and using it allows him the easiest access to my desk and I feed him enough greenies for him to get over the fact that it is new - he is motivated by the fact that it is the only way up to my desk - Since the slope has been reduced, I have raised the front of this box a bit. Some boards with grooves on them (left over flooring) allow for the front to sit firmly into them. Maybe I'll lift it a little further This is a cause I am strongly motivated to pursue. As a recommendation, if you are able to do without the slope, it is better, but if you are not able to (I couldn't) and you are willing to put in extra effort for this to work, it might be worth a try. As the cat continues to slip on it despite the cover being securely attached, I cancelled the order for a second one. Right now, I really need to keep him from jumping, so I ordered another to keep him from jumping. It might be possible for him not to slip if he were a kitten He is getting this to make things easier for him, as he can no longer move as well. The lifting product seems to be working well and secure, so I might purchase a second one, but I'm going to do a second search to see if a competing product with the same height and similarly numbered staircases looks like it might work as well.

Steps are being taken in the right direction! I give it to all my dogs because they love it so much
5/5

The quality is excellent and the materials are In spite of the grips in my previous dog steps, they always slipped away from the bed (we have hardwood floors). Keeping these steps in place is key! Carpet is a great surface for my senior poodle, as it helps her to grip. Only thing that I found strange about this staircase was that it was slanted downward. They don't seem to have any trouble with it, however, I was just wondering if it was kind of strange. I should also note that my husband bought us these steps because he bought us a new bed that is about three feet tall. The tallest person in the room was five These new steps helped my dogs climb the bed since the old steps made it impossible for them to do so. beds are much taller than mine, and my dogs have no problem climbing onto it. I have three dogs weighing 10 pounds each (silky terrier), 17 pounds (miniature poodle) and 50 pounds (American.
