The birds, on the other hand, may not appreciate it! Other animals, on the other hand, will not. We use them to deter rabbits from eating our young plants.br>
No, it won't work if you place it right under the tree. This won't work unless your cats enjoy destroying by climbing up the center trunk. You might be able to keep your cats away from your tree if you create a perimeter that extends a little further than the farthest out branches. Anything that comes within my cat's paws ends up skittering across the floor.
I'm not sure if iguanas or snakes will walk on it, but I am certain cats will not. This is a great passive humane way to keep cats out of your garden or wherever else you keep them.
This isn't going to work on rats, in my opinion. I used to have pet rats, and they can walk right through those tiny plastic spikes. It's more effective to check your home's perimeter for any ingress or egress points and then close those gaps.

It didn't bother him to step on it once he got used to it, so it's now one of his new toys. I'll have to come up with another solution to get him to stop chewing up the bottom of my new adjustable bed. Ugh - sigh!.
The alley cats, who live on their wits, would be horrified by this product, as would the hybrid princess who lives in the house. Not in the least. I noticed that it was still going on and decided to keep an eye on it. She grabs the mat with her claw and pulls it away from where she wants to use it. It's hilarious! Something else must be tried. Fortunately, this isn't expensive, and while it may deter other cats, it won't deter my visitor. I'll keep it in place for the time being. Trying to keep the sandbox safe for the kids. No, there isn't a cover for my book. I wouldn't be able to lift it because of the size of the piece. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> This vendor offered a complete refund in exchange for the removal of this review. Adopted a stray cat who was littering in the kids' sandbox. Another cat has arrived, and I've included a photo to demonstrate the product's effectiveness: cats simply push it aside. Stakes or something to make it immovable should be included.
This is an excellent purchase. My 6-month-old corgi began marking my couch, but he hasn't returned since I installed the scat mats. It's simple to use, covers a large area, and is safe for your pet. Both of my dogs have hopped on the spike mats a couple of times and have hopped right off. They were not in pain, just a little uneasy. It's also useful for separating areas where a gate wouldn't fit. My dogs don't cross it because I put a few together to block off a hallway in my house.
We've had raccoons making nocturnal visits to the garden by the side of the house for several years and have yet to figure out how to keep them away. Aside from fencing off the side garden, which we don't want to do, we've tried a variety of non-chemical, non-harmful-to-wildlife solutions, which we've had up for a few weeks and haven't seen any nocturnal poopers yet. Plants will grow through the holes, so you won't have to worry about them being visible if you use them in your landscaping.
I'm going to assume that some cats are phased when you stand directly on them, so I'm giving it two stars. My two cats, on the other hand, jump on them as if they don't exist.
I wish I'd known about them earlier. It keeps my cat from peeing on my couch. Yes, putting these down and putting them back up every day takes a few seconds, but it's a lot better than what was going on before they were installed. I'm still cleaning up after him all the time, but at least it's on easier-to-clean surfaces.
We have a three-year-old cat who enjoys sticking his face and paws in potentially dangerous places. He's also really dumb (or really smart), and he started associating treats with getting on the stove rather than obeying the "down" command/gesture. We bought these to keep him from exploring the stove, and after a few valiant and hilarious attempts to walk across them, he has finally given up and licked the stove.
I have a small front garden that the neighborhood cats frequent, so I wanted to put these mats down to keep them away. The mats only cover a small area of the garden, and the cats simply navigate around them. Make sure to check the dimensions to see if this item fits your needs. I'd have to spend a fortune if I bought enough to be useful. It's a well-made product. Simply keep sizing in mind.
