Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use it with ferrets?

I'm not sure if they react to the noise in the same way that a dog would. We have an invisible fence that makes a noise before shocking, so it's perfect for us. We rarely use them because we forget to turn them on.

Is it safe for cats?

Oh, yes, I'm certain: Cats, on the other hand, are a little more stealthy! They might be able to figure out a way around it quickly. They'll be fine as long as they don't step too hard on it; it'll be entertaining to watch.

a set of batteries How many do you have, what size are they, and are they included? It's incredible that none of this is mentioned in your product description. ?

Sorry for the inconvenience, Kevin. You will only need one 9-volt battery to operate this mat, which is not included. br>Sandra is a young woman who lives in a small town in the United States

Will this work if we let our dog join us on the couch but want him to stay off when we're not there? Is it likely to keep him off the couch all of the time?

Yes, I believe so; I simply put it out when I leave for work. When I get home, the dogs want to sit in my lap, so I just ignore it.

Our dogs are twelve years old and have been for as long as we can remember
5/5

Our dogs, who are twelve years old, have always been allowed to sleep on our leather sofas. We had just bought a new cloth one and didn't want the dogs to ruin it. We tried putting a broomstick across the couch when we weren't there for a few weeks, but it didn't work. The dogs have never gotten on our couch since we put this on it. The cat, on the other hand, is a completely different story. He is unfazed by the noise. He takes a few steps back and sits down on the couch. In that way, he's a bit sketchy.

It's brilliant
5/5

However, I wish they were a little bigger! I first bought three of these about five years ago when I was temporarily caring for my step-daughter. I didn't want my husky on my sofas, as she was accustomed to doing at home. They all did an excellent job of keeping her off the furniture, and when she returned home, they were all put away. Four years later, the family relocates to a larger home with new furnishings. In fact, I now had three sets of sofas to clean in three different rooms as a result of my two long-term tenants. cats with long hair One of our cats peed on the brand-new basement sofa just two days after we moved in. We covered all six sofas in the house with waterproof plastic mattress covers right away, and I spent three days soaking the peed-on carpet. cleaning it with a vacuum extractor after soaking it in vinegar allowing it to dry and air in the sun We bought Feliway spray and diffusers, and the problem seemed to go away, so we slowly began to uncover the main level sofas. Then we came across the second issue: I had chosen a deep burgundy velour sofa set for the living room, which was quickly adopted by the cats as their preferred sun lounger. Trying to vacuum was also a nightmare. My three old Sofa Scrams appeared and solved the problem quickly. The basement sofa set was still covered in plastic mattress covers, as cats are always attracted to things they have peed on. Poppy, my shy cat, was hiding from the world under the covers of the loveseat, while my problem- Nutmeg, the child cat, still peed on the sofa now and then, but the sofas were protected by plastic and old quilts (so urine didn't run off and drip onto the carpet). I tried cat-napping, but the quilts required constant laundering, and my basement stank the entire time. Feliway, repellant, foil, and putting cat food bowls on the sofa She was undeterred by anything. Poppy was also burrowing in the loveseat and hair-strewn it. Finally, I caved in and paid for two additional Sofa Scrams. The ONE and ONLY thing that will keep the cats off the couches. They're also a whole lot easier to remove than plastic covers. When we humans want to sit on our own sofas, we make quilts! My only wish is that Sofa Scrams were designed to cover the backs and arms of sofas as well, as I currently have to use three of them to keep the cats from sleeping on our large sofa upstairs.

My dog did not respond to it
3/5

I only gave it three stars because of the following reasons: br>I bought this to put on my couch, which my dog enjoys "digging" and ruining. She wasn't scared at all by the noise, and she ended up running away with the mat and chewing on it like a chew toy. I also believe that $29 is excessively high for a foam mat with a beeping device, but that's just my opinion. br>br>WHILE THIS DIDN'T WORK FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH I PURCHASED IT, My cat despises it, but it has an effect on him. So, if you want to keep your cat off the counter/furniture/etc. , you can use this method. This is going to be ideal.

The product is ineffective, and the seller is unresponsive
3/5

A couple of gripes: br>br>First and foremost, I really wanted this to work, but my dog was unconcerned by the little beeps. So far, $30 has been squandered. Second, the shoddy packaging it arrived in caught me off guard - Without any protection, it was simply rolled up in a big envelope. What the. Third, I made the mistake of assuming that the statement "This item is returnable" meant that it could be returned - this was not the case. Apparently, the seller only posts this to give the impression that he or she is trustworthy. I attempted to contact the seller twice but received no response for over a week. br>br>As a result, the product and the seller each receive one star.

My cats aren't bright enough to cause it to go off
3/5

While I'm at work, I bought this to keep my cats off the counter. My two cats are both very small, weighing in at less than seven pounds when fully grown. grown. They are so light that they do not cause the alarm to go off. The alarm is quite loud, and I'm sure it would scare the cats away if they were able to activate it. They don't like how the material crinkles when they walk on it, so it keeps them off the counters in theory, but it doesn't alarm them when they do. I'd recommend this product to anyone who has a pet that weighs at least 15 pounds.

It works well and is quite loud, but my dog was wise enough to ignore it
4/5

It works well and is quite loud, but my dog has figured it out. He'd find a way around it because I have a large sectional that I'd have to move around to his preferred sitting spots. He eventually gave up trying to figure out where it was and stopped jumping on the couch at night while everyone else was sleeping.

There will be no more jumping on the couch by the dogs! To keep my German Shepherd off the cushions on my new sectional, I bought two of these
5/5

Our problem was solved with a single jump up, demonstrating that even an old dog (7 years old) can be taught new tricks! The Sofa Scram emits a very loud, piercing, and unpleasant sound when a paw or hand comes into contact with it. Because it is thin and lightweight, the product does not appear to be very useful. It, on the other hand, is very effective!.

It was exactly what I was looking for
5/5

Our 70-pound dog is a rescue who has been hit several times. She guards our family with her life. She barks and jumps at the front door, which is made of 100-year-old natural wood. She did, however, scratch me. Because of her background, we didn't want to resort to drastic measures to correct her behavior. We simply placed it on the floor in front of the door, and she has stopped jumping up. She continues to yell. Now it's time to look for earplugs.
