Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this on the floor? Is my cat going to be able to leap over it? I don't want her to come into our room with us. ?

This can be used on the floor, yes. This shock mat is actually designed to teach your pet to stay away from your furniture, such as the counter and couch, so it has a narrow size that will work for most pets on the floor and they won't jump over it. However, if your pet jumps over it, rendering the mat useless for training, please contact us and request a full refund. If you had this problem, we would be happy to assist you with a refund.

I placed an order for three. All of them worked fine for the first two weeks, but after that, one of them began to go off and wouldn't stop. I've tried changing the battery, but it's not working. Plea?

There have been no issues so far. We bought three, and they're all functional. We've replaced the batteries and haven't encountered any issues. Please contact Amazon; it appears that your mats are faulty.

What is the battery's life expectancy?

I leave mine on for 8 to 10 hours a day, seven days a week. The battery should last at least six months.

Mother of a Angry Cat Finds Peace
5/5

We moved into a new place, and poor Kitty was a little shaken, but he was able to relax and enjoy himself because it was more spacious. He reverted to his former cocky, playful, cute, but domineering self. A tad too aggressive. br>br>He had never before jumped up on the kitchen counters, which is a big no-no. No, I don't eat raw foods because I cook a lot. I don't mind if he wakes me up in the middle of the night, but that is strictly forbidden. br>br>I tried aluminum foil tents and prickly things in the past, but they didn't work on the kitchen counters. Plus, removing the aluminum foil when I wanted to cook and replacing it all when I wanted to go out or go to bed was a pain in the rear. br>br>For the new place, I also recently purchased a floor plant. When I returned one day, there was dirt all over the place, as well as splattered up against the wall. That was the final straw for me. This mat was discovered by me. br>br>I was hesitant to spend so much money on a mat at first, but now I think it was a good deal. br>br>I put the mat through its paces to see how it felt, even stepping on it on high to see how bad it was. It took me by surprise, and I had to do a little dance to get off of it, but there was no harm done. br>br>I showed the kitty the mat and put him on the lowest setting so he would understand he didn't want to be on it. He was unconcerned about it. br>br>I left the kitchen counter with the mat on low and came back to find the cat had figured out how to walk around the mat. (His Kitty Prints were on the counter, which I noticed. ) )br>br>I raised the counter mat, grabbed the cat, and placed him on the mat a few times. His tail puffed up into a large, fat ball. Kitty hasn't gone up there without a mat on the counter in about a week because of that. br>br>The floor plant was the most concerning. I placed the mat in front of the plant, which worked because he was now aware of its purpose. When I returned, however, I discovered dirt had been strewn about once more. And by skulking around and hiding, this cat, a former psychopath, was displaying a guilty conscience. br>br>I took the cat in my arms, showed him the plant, and placed him on the mat, which was set to high and beeped. Even if I wasn't present, he wouldn't be able to get away with it. br>br>If you think cats can't learn, you're wrong--they can. Simply put, they are obstinate. I've even taught the cat to sit in order to receive treats. It takes time, but if you're clear enough, they'll figure out what you want them to do, and if they want the treat, they'll comply. br>br> It's been about a week since I've had any more plant dirt incidents, and the mat is still in front of the plant. br>br>I was expecting to have to buy a second mat, but despite the fact that the mat is in front of the plant, there have been no signs of Kitty on the kitchen counters. br>br>Kitty is still skulking around because she isn't in charge everywhere, but I'm showing him his toys, playing with the laser, and giving him treats in the areas where she is allowed. And I'm free to keep the things in my house that bring me joy- Clean kitchen counters and floor plants are a must! br>br>Recent changes: br>br> Kitty is happy and back to his sweet self, and he hasn't dug in the plant or gotten on the counters. Mom, you're a lucky cat!.

Exceptional item - Please use it with caution

Everything we've tried has failed to keep our dog away from the kitchen counters. I believe we've discovered an answer. I'm not usually a fan of zap collars or other forms of training, but as a last resort, this is a great option. It must also be the right dog to deal with such a situation.

This is an excellent unit for preventing pets from scratching
5/5

My cat destroyed my couch, as you can see in the photo, so I bought a pet mat to replace it. I like the tone mode in the settings, but he doesn't. If we forget he scratched, I lower it further when we put it in front of the couch at night. A couple of times, we used the static mode. Even so, he musters the courage to step on it. I'm in desperate need of a backup. We also placed it in our bedroom, where he sits and cries at the door. I'm sure he was surprised, but it didn't seem to bother him. He is approximately eight years old. 10 lbs. He stays away from the couch even when he is not on it. If you have a pet who needs to stay off the furniture or out of your room, I suggest. I'm very happy.

It's wonderful to be free of gates
5/5

We've now placed an order for three mats. We tested it on ourselves to make sure it doesn't harm them. Because the dogs do not step on them again after stepping on them once, we can turn them off. Our female was satisfied with just a beep, but our male required a slight jolt. We've replaced our doggy gates with mats at the entrances to areas where the pups are not allowed, and it's so nice not to have them. On the couch, we used one as well. But, once they realized the couch wouldn't work with the mat, they were able to relocate it. I would suggest it.

These mats do 100% of the work
5/5

I bought two of these to go with my new sectional sofa. Because I have small dogs who constantly jump on the couch, I put my hand on it to relieve the shock. My dogs won't even approach the couch after a day. I'm so sorry I didn't think of purchasing these earlier. When I'm at home, I still leave the mats on the couch, but I don't turn them on to conserve battery life, and they don't jump on the couch just because they're there. br>I turn them on when I leave. This is an excellent product that I would recommend to anyone.

Pets Can Be Trained Effectively
5/5

When the cats decided to express their dissatisfaction with the brand-new litter boxes we gave them by defecating and urinating on our brand-new sofa, I knew it was time to do more than cover it in a sheet (as suggested by an online search to prevent scratching). I can't risk it because I've had previous experience with these cats urinating on things until they're completely ruined. Since placing this shock mat on the area most affected by their recent rebellion, I haven't seen a cat near the sofa, but 1) they tend to visit the sofa at night when people aren't around, and 2) I tested the lowest shock setting and I'm pretty sure they've learned to avoid the mat now. To get the message across to the feline residents of this house, I'm planning on moving the mat around to all of the new furniture.

Almost immediately came to a halt
3/5

I got my package, installed the battery, and set it up. Because I'm a moron, I put it to the test on myself, and it worked. One cat was seen jumping up on the counter and then onto the mat, and it seemed to work on that cat. My other cat jumped up onto the counter an hour later. There was no action. I walk over and give it another try, but nothing happens. I initially tried a brand new battery, but it didn't work, so I tried another one. br>br>Pressing the power button on this device does not appear to change any settings. The light has a blue tone at times and a red tone at other times. There is no actual troubleshooting information provided in the instructions.

- UPDATE- Customer service contacted me and offered me a full refund or a replacement without any questions asked. Customer service was excellent, prompt, and pleasant to work with. I have nothing against the seller, and this positive experience would at the very least entice me to do business with them again. The product simply did not work, which is why I gave it a one-star rating, but the customer service was excellent.
