I'd wipe the plastics with Clorox because the litter was spotless. There has been no modification. The stench seemed to have been absorbed by the plastic. I bought these parts as a last resort before tossing the entire thing out, and they completely eliminated the odor! Spend your money on something else instead of a new box! Simply switch out the plastic. It looked like it had never been used before! My kitties' box needed a new tray, but I couldn't smell anything. You could smell it from ten feet away before I bought these parts.
It was making a lot of noises, so I decided to replace it. My cat is no longer alarmed by the sound of the litter box. br>I'm baffled as to how she can be so terrified of her toilet and still use it. br>It would be a no-go for me if I had any concerns about my own. br>br>As a result, replacement parts work great and are great to have on hand so that I can keep my litter box running.
I have the newer box, and the flap on that one isn't staying down very well. I searched high and low for the right flap and thought I had found it. This will not work with the newer brand litter boxes.
It didn't break, so I needed a new top and bottom, and when I went looking for them, I was overjoyed to find them!.
" (I've never come across a litter box that doesn't require any maintenance! ) I replaced the replaceable trays with a permanent tray, which is much cheaper. It's a little harder to empty, but it's not a big deal. Odor control is the best, but there was a major issue. One of our two cats couldn't seem to get used to the crystal litter. So, buyers, beware! The crystal litter will not be used by all cats.
It's the second time I've done it. The humidity in my area causes the screws on the unit to rust.
To replace the original Barney-style cover, I purchased this one along with a hood. ones that are purple Fits perfectly, performs admirably, and the cat is unfazed by the change, continuing to use the box as before. Because the ScoopFree self-cleaning Litterbox was only available in purple when I received it, I was relieved to see these neutral color covers on Amazon and immediately placed an order.
