Questions & Answers

Can this littler box be used with regular clumping litter or do you have to use crystals?

If you use this machine, use the crystals. They are what make it one of the best litter boxes There are real crystals inside those motors, as well as being whisper-quiet. In order to use this system effectively, the crystals need to be replaced after several uses rather than every day. There is a saying that you should change the counter once it reaches The number 70 feels right to me in this Then everything is a fresh start when I change it. Before I change my littler box, I don't let it turn to trash. There is no comparison between crystal litter and clump free litter, but the crystals work several times better. I have been using LitterMaid for years, but the box was never clean, it was very noisy, and it broke after a few years. If done properly, this crystal replacement system will work as long as you change them according to the number of uses, not the number of days.

Among which of the following self-development programs Which is best for cleaning a litter box? Scoopfree, littermaid, or litter-o-matic Do you want a robot, or do you want a ?

A little more than six months ago, I purchased the pet safe scoop free ultra and have been very happy with The litter has to be changed every couple of months for 3 cats who are both indoors and outdoors. In addition to the litter tray, I ordered a plastic litter tray for Crystal kitty litter is available at Walmart for half the price of pet safe, but I haven't tried it yet I just saw it the other

If it's time to change a tray, how do you know it's time? Does it take a while longer to get used to having a kitten?

The litter (we use the Forever Litter Tray) needs to be changed about once every 4 minutes and a half I stayed in our house with two cats for five days. By 24 uses, I begin to smell a smell from the litter box and the litter looks saturated, so our cats must pee a lot. Owners of other cars get 50 to 60 percent A litter needs to be used 100 times before it needs to be replaced.

Is there a difference between a regular and an ultra?

The price of Ultra is because it has the lid. If it were purchased without the lid, it would cost A step counter is positioned on the bottom of the litter box (how many times it's been used) and a timer interval of 5/10/15 is set. There is a difference between the 2nd generation and the 3rd generation in that the 2nd generation has a small front lip, which my cats penchant to pee towards the front, so the cardboard replacements become soaked in pee. Both the ultra and 2nd generation of my phone are working fine Having two cats, the ultra is my preferred choice. I believe the revisions have been made to make it Two of the features are missing from the 2nd generation the timer intervals, and the cheap front step.

(if you do not use crystals) Miracle litter box
5/5

I'll keep it short and sweet and say to buy it. The crystals should likewise be thrown out and Arm & Leg should be obtained An Arm & Hammer Platinum Slide Litter Tray, a Forever Litter Tray, and a Forever Litter Tray This Hammer Cat Litter Deodorizer eliminates odors caused by cat waste. If I have those 3 things, I can stick my nose up against a full, 2 week-old litter box and not smell anything.

The product is great However, it was a long and arduous road to get (Real litter is acceptable
4/5

The product is great, but I cannot say that it will be a miracle solution for all cats, at least not right now. You won't be able to keep it going for a month without some maintenance. The fact that it's worth it after some adjustments doesn't mean it can't be done. My first cat took some time to become litter box trained before she came to me, an adult cat at full size. I acquired this before she arrived to me. It is hard for me to manage a stale house if I work 9 hours a day and live with a roommate in a one-bedroom apartment, where the smell is bad if left unattended for too Hence, I thought that this investment would be worthwhile to ease the burden of owning my first cat, as I have never cleaned a litter box before.

***SIDE NOTE I do have a few questions about this purchase. In order to keep my trays in place, I purchased a permanent You do not see how much is been saved when you use disposables. Although they are expensive for what they are, they are worth every penny once you see how much money you are saving. It is especially important to consider actual litter over crystals if you say you will use them. As a matter of fact, my cat adjusted to the changes quickly, making it The cat got used to it within 2 hours of being placed in her new home and didn't even put up a fuss. However, she is an unusually tolerant cat when it comes to changes, which is why I was able to perform the experiment I will be describing. As far as I know, some cats aren't tolerant like this, so if you are one of those people who can't mess around with different litters, I gave you the option to see what works best for you. It was simple for me to use the product the first 2 weeks. I followed the directions and added the crystals that came with the kit. It was expensive and wet and all that jazz to change the trays, but the manufacturer advised me to replace them once a month for one cat. Nothing could be further from the truth. the end of the first week, it was beginning to smell, and by the middle of the next week, it began turning to sludge and the smell was foul- A terribly bad idea. As soon as I saw these crystals, I knew my cat wasn't going to like them. Peeing in the same spot every time is not something she wants to change. It did not matter how often I stirred the litter, it just turned into sludge and smelt like death in When I tried to dump out the litter, I felt sick to my stomach, and it was the grossest thing I've ever The task of scraping the sludge off the cardboard tray was just a bit tedious. Not at all. I did not like the crystal litter at all, even before it was urinated on. My roommate did not like the smell of it either. In addition, it tracked all through the house, and it HURT to step on. I guess it was made in a factory or something like that because it was made of legos. I was done with the crystals after only one round, so it's not a surprise that I finished after just one round. It didn't go well with my cat (she wouldn't cover up her poo because I think it badly affected her paws), it didn't go well with my roommate, I didn't go well with my landlord, and no one dared to go near them! Those are important issues as well as the replacement of those throwaway items It would be financial suicide to throw out waste trays weekly. I considered returning it and purchasing a regular litter box because it would probably be much better. But I don't give up easily, and I researched whether or not real litter can be used. Most people suggested that it couldn't be used. My cat is one of the few that doesn't mind if I experiment with different litters, so I decided to test each one for a week and then decide which one I like best. A permanent litter tray from Litter Works and some real litter were my next purchases. Tray, but this one is cheaper and I haven't yet seen a reason to justify ) Basically She pees up a storm, so you can imagine how quickly she gets saturated, and I have to change the whole tray of litter in a matter of days. I recommend using clumping litter if it's possible. What a waste! In that case, I went ahead and clumped. As a first step, as I had no knowledge of litter, I bought a fairly cheap version of Fresh Step at Walmart for eight dollars. It was a hopeful gesture to think the cheapest would work, but I didn't know if it would explode my machine or anything yet, so I started with the cheapest. (Some of the reviews I read suggested it might explode if I used clumping litter. I began to think that the Fresh Step might really work for me when I tried it for the first time. Having been growing for 3 days, it was fairly healthy. As the rakes began to smush the clumps on the 4th day, the vegetation began to look dreary as they kept getting stuck in them and stuck behind them, and you could see the roots. This is the Papa bear of solutions (though my roommate wasn't happy with the smell). In any case, I wasn't convinced this was as good as it gets, so I dumped that and moved the price list up to Arm and Hammar, as recommended to me by my boss and an Despite his aversion to Arm and Hammer, he swears by it. It had the heading 'Hard Clumps' on it, so I bought that version. It sounded great when clumps were hard. If they smooshed into the rakes, perhaps they won't crush each other. Kitty seemed to prefer that to the other stuff in the tray, so I filled it up with that. Before taking a nice dump in it, she wouldn't even let me put the lid on. Thanks to luck, I am here today. After running it for a week, I let it rest for a while. Phew, I hope you don't mind the pain! if you are on a budget, you may want to go this route. There is no need for maintenance and it is not too expensive. A little more than every 30 days There are 40 rounds or so needed for clearing out the trap, and it takes about five There is a scent for about 3 minutes, and then it disappears and never smells again, but if I wrapped a scarf around my nose the smell would not be so To keep it from looking unkempt after four days or so, I sometimes had to do a thorough rake cleaning. you get I have put 4 rounds of trap cleaning into mine and it is still empty the first time!) This is a good place to stand if you are like me and my cat and you resent crystals, but have already invested 160 dollars in the device. Though it is not free, it still is convenient and prevents your clothes from smelling if you are away from your work place. Let me get to the good stuff for those of you who truly want it Rather than Arm and Hammer Slide litter, I recommend Arm and Hammer Slide. Even though it's expensive, it's worth the money. It will last me about 3 weeks or more. I got a 19lb box at Target for 12 dollars, and often it is on sale (I think it will last me for 3 weeks). On the other hand, Compared to the 8 dollar 24lb box I started with, it is a considerable leap in financial terms (still less than 13 bucks a week for the disposable crystals! One of the few I have seen is www. com). I think it is well worth your money if you have the money to spend on This stuff filled her box, she loved it, I loved it, there was a small unnoticeable scent, but she did not seem to mind it and I could not smell it without sticking my head in it. I need to empty out the poo trap after one week, as it fills quickly with the big rock hard urine clumps and needs to be scooped. By the second week it can be scooped about 40 times without having to empty it. I have to deal with urine sludge every three days but that is a million times better than that. Litter Genie scoops it all into the container. It only takes five minutes and does not smell at all. My opinion on the litter is that its smell is not particularly pleasant, and when mixed with urine it is quite pungent. However, it is nothing compared to the smell of sitting poo that is formed when I take off the lid, since I cannot smell that unless I get really As I cleaned it, I didn't gag a single time or need to turn away. After I put this litter in the litter box, my roommate stated that he smelled it when he cleared the trap, but it wasn't too bad, and I realized he hadn't complained about the litter box smell since I put it in. In addition, it does not tend to get stuck in rakes much. My only daily maintenance is to move the rake forward every couple days and pick up any small bits that got tucked behind it, but that's mostly for esthetic reasons, so it can be left intact To top off the poo trap after I dump it, I add some more litter, and it's ready to use As I walk by the litter, I stir it and even out the piles if I think about it The reason she gets bare in one place faster is that she pees in that area most of the time. There is only one issue that I've seen so far, which is her one pee spot gets a clean pancake of litter after about two There is no stopping of rakes, but there are a few things it does, including going into the trap and sticking to the tray. As it turns out, the litter does what it says. It comes loose with a couple scrapes from the scooper and is easy to toss in the trash. It's only a minor issue. Finally, I'd like to highlight the following It's a good product, but if you want it to be GREAT, you have to make it work for you and your cat. There is a possibility that there won't be any upkeep needed If she's a big pee-pee cat, you're free for a month at a time, even with just one cat My baby is in the same position as mine. You can get the best clumping litter if you can stand it and it doesn't work if you can't. If you get a Forever Tray or something similar, some Arm and Hammer clumping litter, a Litter Genie, and a willingness to clean your stall once a week, you will find it much easier than cleaning on a daily basis. My opinion is that it's a 5 star product with Arm and Hammer Slide, but I deduct one star because it took me an arm, a leg, two months, and a Cat with a particularly patient attitude to reach that point. In addition, they seem to go out of their way to convince you that no other method will work, and that isn't the case whatsoever. My original plan was to return the product after two weeks if it wasn't for the Arm and Hammer Litter and Litter Works tray. Let's hope another cat parent will find this information helpful!.

It has been suggested that you buy the forever tray, but you will be was a little wary of purchasing this litter box since I read a few bad reviews about As a result, a lot of them seemed to center on unrealistic expectations and frankly poor use of the money
5/5

Since getting this box a month ago, I have used it quite a bit. It was a bit of a learning curve to do things like determine when to change crystals because I have never had to deal with them before. Due to my odor sensitivity, I have an abnormally high level of sensitivity. When she was actively defecating, I was the only one who smelled anything. Any cat owner knows that it can be foul smelling when their cats do either of these things. It is amazing how quickly these crystals draw moisture and scent away from the area. In fact, all I can smell in the room is the kibble. 20 minutes is the timer I have set for the rake. It is important to let the crystals absorb before you rake otherwise, you will have poo stuck to it. A perpetual tray is also a must for me. It doesn't seem like there is anything wrong with the disposables as far as functionality goes. The problem is that they are very very expensive. Since I have only one cat, I could buy one or two per This is much better than buying them for Adding all that up is quite impressive. If you dump a tray once a month and hose it off, it's just as easy. The forever tray is made of plastic unlike the disposables, which are made from cardboard. Neither I nor my wife have experienced leaks or accidents with hard plastic, but I feel safer. Using it the way it is intended is a great choice as long as you pay close attention. *Update (7/11/18) The site is still working beautifully. My cats are now two. *Update 10/30/2020
I have two cats now. It's quite useful to have a counter that counts how many times the app has been used. My cat would use it about 80 times before I had to change the litter. It goes to 50 when there are two cats because one sometimes will follow the other into the room! Despite the age, it works perfectly! Crystals always flow from amazon to me on a monthly basis, so I never run out of "poop rocks". Still, I believe it was well worth every penny!.
