Questions & Answers

What is the difference between the Original and Ultra cat litter boxes? If you can get back to me, I would appreciate it. ?

It differs only by 3 features, and for the record, I bought the Original and I love it, and it just works well for my needs. Hence, they differ in the following ways a) Ultra comes with a privacy hood. It isn't necessary for me to have There is no shame in my cat's life. The girl can go outside without fear of being caught. This type of box may be the best choice for your cat if he or she is used to some privacy. As a result, it's not worth the price hike (although, right now on Amazon, the Ultra is actually $4 cheaper. 3) The ultra has a gradual rake delay control. Now I understand how this might make the app attractive. In Original, there is a preset delay, and it is, I believe, about twenty minutes (the maximum It seems kind of gross that the waste would have to sit for so long before being scooped, because I don't understand why the waste would need to sit so long. Using the Ultra, you can reduce that time to as little as 5 or 10 minutes if you like. I just want to point out, however, that the rake delay feature on the Original (and probably Ultra too) can be manually controlled using a button. In other words, I can tell the rake to scoop when my cat makes the room stinky from being nearby. If I walk over to the machine and push the button, the rake will scoop as requested. It is obvious that I do not mind the smell when I am not at home. For my needs, I am fine with the Original. 20 minutes is fine. If she only urinates, I do not need it to scoop right away, and if I am nearby when she makes a poo, I can just press the Get the Ultra model and you can schedule the bin to scoop at 5, 10, or 20 minutes if you want waste never to sit in the bin for 20 full minutes. 3) There is a health counter on the Ultra. My kitten is fine, and her health is not of concern to me. Nonetheless, if visiting the box is common for your cat, this is one way for it to track how often your cat visits If the box and the cat feel that your cat is using it too frequently, the box might alert you to a potential health problem in order to ensure that you can have your cat examined by the veterinarian. It is not important to me, however. The Health Meter not only measures the litter's health, it also measures its "life". There isn't anything like saying, "Oh, this litter is getting kind of gross in here, you should probably put something new in.". This seems to me to be a more useful answer. The issue is not that big, as it is pretty obvious when you need to replace the trays, as the crystals turn white instead of Basically, I have the Original and I love it. It does what I need it to do and it has not let me down. If, however, you have an older cat with a more sensitive nose combined with limited mobility, or if your cat is used to privacy, the Ultra is the right choice. As a result of all of that, again, I notice that the "luxury" version is cheaper on Amazon at the moment. When I bought mine, the price was the same, and if it had been like that, I might have bought the Ultra to get the extra features and save the $4. It might help if you read that.

Among which of the following self-development programs Which is best for cleaning a litter box? Scoopfree, littermaid, or litter-o-matic Do you want a robot, or do you want a ?

Without a doubt, the litter robot is the best automatic litter system available on the market (and has been for Litter robot's only bad features are its size (it's so large on the outside for its small size inside, and won't fit in a small bathroom at all. Also a downside of the service is the cost. I will admit, though, that it is well worth it in the end. Do not ever look back. If you have the space and can afford it, get the litter robot. Our house currently has 7 cats (3 of ours, 4 foster kittens, one cat we rescued, and a third one moving in next week), and a single litter robot is effortlessly handling everyone's waste. We just change the bag in the bottom drawer every other night instead of weekly. Despite its simplicity, it generates zero smell, works for years without issue (this is our second order. Four of our first cats survived for six years).

The cat I have won't use it for three weeks since I've had My next move will be to return it. Are there any suggestions on how to get him to start using ?

You might be able to get away with using half crystals and half leaves The amount of kitty litter you were using before is half. The 3 cats I have took to it well. Within a couple of weeks, I was able to stop using the old litter &amp replace it with this one. It is now only the Crystals I use since they are so much longer lasting. This is a great litter box, and I wish you much success!

In spite of the fact that a tray is supposed to last 30 days, my cat's urine always goes through the bottom of the box. My bathroom also smells bad due to ?

You are welcome to contact us if you need further assistance with your litter. The average tray lasts about 30 days, but it's possible that a tray will last longer or shorter depending on your cat's weight, diet, health, and age. It is also possible that the environment where the litter box is stored plays a role. If you place the box in an area that is humid, the litter may not last as long because it is made to absorb moisture. The crystals in the tray should be mixed every few days to help extend the life of the tray and prevent leaks. This is particularly important if your cat prefers to use the same area a lot.

In the opinion of a veterinarian The hard truth about who you are - A litter box needs to be cleaned
3/5

My experiences as a veterinary surgeon provide me with some genuine insights that Amazon may find useful. We have information about PetSafe ScoopFree and other leading automatic litter boxes in the com community. Positive Aspects of Owning a ScoopFree Taking responsibility for one's actions This one is more reliable in regards to cleaning. The lid looks nice as well as alleviating some of the tracking issues. Truths that can be hard to accept If you want to maintain it, you'll have to invest a lot of time and money. There is no doubt a $50 forever litter tray is a must-have. However, the crystal litter is significantly more expensive than Crystal litter does not control odors well and is outrageously expensive. The reliability of the crystal litter is about as good as that of Littermaid, but not quite better than that of Litter-MAID. The ChillX AutoEgg Robot and ChillX. There is a lot of noise coming from the motor. You may find that the cleaning rake becomes sticky very quickly. Like a normal litter box, it appears to be molded from plastic. A LitterMaid may seem like a great idea at first, but there are a few truths to that. A litter tray that is both the cheapest and the largest is hard to come by The litter box is barely serviceable because of the noise it makes and reliability problems.

Truths about owning a litter box- There are several positive aspects to robots You get a free app, and it gives you some helpful information. As long as the sensor is not blocked (which occurs quite frequently), the automatic cleaning function is reliable. Truths that can be hard to accept Stay away from the litter box if you are concerned for the safety of your kitty Using a robot. My job is to collect litter from litter boxes in the litter box every year and care for the wounded cats Using a robot. While there are video tutorials on YouTube for fixing the spinning globe stuttering issue, it's difficult to fix the issue. There is a high opening on the globe, which is not meant for cat owners who have sensitive animals. There may be a need to reconsider if you have limited space in your home as the footprint is the largest. The picture looks like a spaceship, but the real product looks a bit too plasticky. It is also the most expensive, starting at $500, and you can bundle all the way up to $1000. Ownership of a ChillX AutoEgg Truth and Positive Attributes Above all, he is the quietest. can record the weight and waste of your cat. The design is sleek and minimalist. It doesn't disrupt your daily routine. It has a built-in computer to help you keep track of your cat's weight. It is low maintenance, since you only need to replace the liner, so the cost is close to zero. Additionally, it's designed in a modern, minimal manner. Truths that can be hard to accept It is better to avoid using it if you have a big cat, since the litter tray is smaller than the other trays. Due to the design of the rake, it may not clean 100% of the waste every time. The cleaning rake may become sticky at times. In addition, it's much more expensive, not available on Amazon, and only offered on the company's website.

I hope my honest review helps you to make a more informed decision about which self-defense course to purchase. A litter box needs to be cleaned.

This tutorial will show you how to solve the regardless of what some other reviewers think
5/5

The problem had recently caused me to buy another new one, and I set out to fix it. In addition, if you do not properly cover your cat's poop, it will stick to the rake and not fall into the storage area, and you will have to clean it up. There is a solution I've come up with that works Using a pair of scissors, cut down some plastic drinking straws to size, then slice them lengthwise. Wrap the tines of the rake with them (photo shows partially completed). The sticks could also be put at the bottom of each tine if you wanted. Keeping the rake clean is important, and the poop doesn't stick to it (so If you need to replace the straws, you can easily do so.

I would definitely recommend this! It's holding up well! Six years ago today, I lost my father to cancer
5/5

The pros are Please note that. The purple top can be easily removed and the trash can be scooped. When there's a foul smell in the waste and you can't wait 20 minutes for the auto-rake to begin, press this button to get the job done It's rake time. I am - minimal I scoop out waste once a week, change the litter once a month, and I only have two cats weighing 11 pounds. I scooped twice a day and replaced my clay litter weekly (I used to scoop twice a day) - Crystal litter is far superior to clay (there is no dust, and the litter smell is gone)*- If your cat decides to jump on the rake and it sticks, it is easy to clean

Cons Please note that. The litter is thrown into the waste tray every time, which means you have to replace it more often than necessary. - Disposable litter trays are a waste of money, so get a permanent one and save yourself a lot of time!* (I have the LitterWorks® Permanent Scoopfree® Compatible Litter Tray Heavy Duty. )
- The rake does not work on cats who have frequent diarrhea as it will cling to the cloth - There is no reason to pay so much for ScoopFree crystal litter. Update (7/8/17 There is only one cat litter I have found to be the best ExquisiCat® Micro Crystals Cat Litter from Pet Smart. It has the texture of sand, not of The Fresh Step from Walmart has a pebble texture, so this is cheaper. The price of in-store pickup is also discounted by 10% at Pet Smart* (Update 2/26/20) As a replacement, I now use Vibrant Life Mini Crystal Unscented Cat Litter from Walmart because it is cheap and works just as well as ExquisiCat®)
*I also use Merry Products Cat Washroom Bench to store By hiding it, it prevents odors from spreading, and it keeps my cats from destroying the rest of my house with litter. It was about a day ago that I picked up this box. So far, I really like it! Crystal litter was rated negatively in a few reviews by people whose cats hated it. Thanks to my cats, they took to it right away. My permanent litter bottom will be cheaper than the three disposable ones for which I would have to spend 50 dollars. Considering I have two cats, I plan to make this last for two weeks at most. You don't want to use this rake if your cat has frequent diarrhea because it will clump, then you have a mess on your hands. On top of that, the magnets on the litter pan are weak and fall off from time to time. It was a 5$ nickel magnet with holes in the middle I bought, so I screwed it in to place and that fixed it. (I have discovered that the original magnets are not weak, it is just the metal on the scoop free disposable litter trays. Since I started using my permanent litter box, I no longer have any falling issues). **** I will update with how it holds up over time and what type of permanent litter tray I purchase. I am updating my posting as of 2/27/17 I can see that this litter box is doing just fine! It's definitely not realistic to scope this for two weeks, nor is it realistic on a daily basis. Litter that gets pushed into the waste trap by the rake is also likely to accumulate in it. Since the lid is not attached to the box, I have the same two issues with the permanent tray. However, I greatly appreciate the ease of this step when using the permanent tray. The ScoopFree disposable trays fix to the disposable box so when you needed to scoop, you would have to remove the purple lid, lift the litter itself (the two white hooks interfere with lifting just the cardboard flap where the magnets attach), and then lift the cardboard flap. Observe my new routine by scooping out their waste, spreading the litter around, and adding more crystals as necessary. It does not matter what crystal litter you use as long as it does not clump. My crystals are replaced each month after a full dump. Since I have two 11 lb cats, I scoop twice a day and replace their litter every week. Once a month is great considering I was scooping twice a day. It's really so much better than clay clumping litter to use crystal There is no litter dust in my house anymore (though some crystal litters can be more dusty than others) and my house does not smell like litter. The following update was posted at 1-30-18 I've seen the litter box and it's still not dead! In the end, ExquisiCat Micro Crystals Cat Litter was the best crystal litter for my forever tray after months of trial and error. The scoop is smaller than a bucket and it frees the litter crystals and solves the problem of rakes moving litter. PetSmart usually has it on sale, so I stock up and buy it when it comes out. It does not smell or contain dust! The cats keep using it and there are no problems with the box or tray. The following update was issued on 2/26/20 Despite the litter box not functioning, it still does its job! There is now a squeak/clank noise when the rake is used, but it isn't Rust has not formed on the rake and everything works as it should! Walmart's Crystal Litter (Vibrant Life Mini Crystal Unscented Cat Litter) has replaced the litter that I was using previously. It works just as well as the ExquisiCat® but at a lower cost. My goal is to change the litter every two weeks with two cats who weigh 13 pounds each. Although you can let the litter go longer, you will need to scoop out the waste (or it will overflow) and add some sort of litter deodorizer since it will start to smell mild. The following is an update for 6/7/20 There has been a serious problem with the litter box. As of lately, the rake seems more difficult to move and isn't returning to its original You will not be able to fix this on your own because it will get stuck halfway. To clean up days of poop that got stuck on both sides of the rake, I had to dig through it. In the near future, I'll be replacing the generation 1 box with a generation 2 model.
