Although it is not cheap to purchase, once installed, you will find that you will never need to buy cat litter again. Yes, the granules, wash solutions, and device cleaner APPEAR to be expensive, but once you train yourself to use it as they advertise and instruct, it could be far less expensive than thousands of LBS of new and used cat litter, and oh, sooo important, the BREAK you will GIVE YOUR ACHY BRAKEY BACK! It does, however, necessitate some learning. If you don't have the patience to install yourself, hiring a handyman plumber or a friend to do it for you will save you time and money. You can also have them read and assist you with the learning curve. So far, Cat Genie has provided the fastest and most straightforward "TECH" support of any vendor. Early in the morning, late in the afternoon, and late in the evening Purchase this item from AMAZON because it not only has the best price, but also the best customer service for any issues you may encounter with a vendor who isn't always willing to assist you. So, in my not-so-humble opinion, IF you have one or two Kat Kritters who command and control your life and give you the pleasure of living under your roof, GET Cat Genie NOW, the best solution ever for ORDER FREE, CHEAP (overall), and SMART cat litter that DOES WHAT IT SAYS. Charges for moving solution I won't repeat much of what others have said, but I did carefully read the reviews before purchasing two of these (we have two cats). All of the negative feedback is mostly correct (except for noise, which I disagree with). In my opinion, the unit is quite quiet). But let me narrow down my pet peeves to the following: 1. br>br> The unit's price remains excessive. Although it has decreased in recent years, it remains excessively high in light of the unit's flaws. They should make an effort to keep the price under $200.
2. I despise how the pebbles' size allows them to work well in the machine while also being the perfect size to stick into a cat's foot. Others weren't kidding when they said you'd have pebbles tracked all over your home. They'll find their way into your bed, shoes, and kitchen. These pebbles will be found wherever your cat goes in your house. I wish they could make the pebbles bigger or smaller so that they would still work with the unit but not be the perfect size to fit into a cat's foot.
3. The price of solution cartridges and pebbles is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. One of our cats is a "pooping and weeing machine," as we like to call him. She travels a great deal. We can't let our machines run on their own. She enjoys sitting in a warm CatGenie after the blower has finished drying the pebbles. Even when she isn't using the device, the sensor is tripped. As a result, we must rely on manual labor. In less than a month, each machine goes through one solution cartridge. The liquid in the solution is clearly CHEAP. If they allowed it, we could easily make our own. The solution cartridges should either be half the price they are now or sold in large quantities so that we can pay half the price they are now. Allowing us to purchase a self-contained unit is what they should really be doing. Fill a cartridge with the RFC configured for a 10X usage. There are several hundred uses. Allow us to fill our own cartridges with a low-cost alternative. bleach with a high concentration/low concentration We can make a high-concentration soap solution right at home. Anyway . We only use one box of pebbles per month for both machines, but we feel like the company is gouging us because we go through two solution cartridges at a rip-off price. I can't recommend the CatGenie to anyone until they fix their pricing policy and make it reasonable given the pennies they pay for the solution inside those cartridges.
4. Finally, the arm of the unit is activated. During the wash and rinse cycles, the arm drops and just sits there (there are three washes: pre-cleaning, sanitizing, and rinsing) The arm just sits there during all three runs. The pebbles have returned to their original position. They rub up against the back of the arm and aren't well cleaned. I need to get a cat scoop and reach in during either the pre- or post-workout period. To get the pebbles really clean, use a wash or sanitation wash and swish them around for 30 seconds. Why didn't they program the arm to rise and fall during the washing and rinsing cycles? It's inexcusable to leave the arm in that position for almost the entire wash cycle, rising and falling only once. Several times, the arm should be raised and lowered. and why do you spend approximately 2095% of your time rotating in one direction? Why not have the arm rotate in a different direction each time it goes up and down through the pebbles? Based on the basic engineering concept of agitating the pebbles to clean them, what they did appears to be a poor design.

Then I explained that I was sick of begging my daughters to clean the filthy litter box. "But I did it last time. . . ," they would always say. After that, I went with the City Kitty option. You've taught your cats to use the toilet in the house, right? That worked fine with our first cat, but when we got a second kitten, our older cat became envious and began pooping in the bathtub. As a result, we reverted to a smaller container. So a year has passed (and there has been a lot of nasty litter). So, about a month ago, my mother mentioned that she had seen a commercial for Catgenie. I looked it up on the internet and watched videos on YouTube. But I couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a litter box. As a result, my mother purchased one for the two of us. I've been sold since the first day! Sure, it makes a noise that initially startled the cats, and cleaning it takes 30 minutes. But I have to use only one finger to press one button for about half a second. THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY ON THIS SUBJECT! It's been a month since we got it, and I've only cleaned it once a day. In fact, one of my cats is so enthralled with watching it clean that she will come up to me and meow loudly for me to follow her into the laundry room with her nose wrinkled up so that I can turn the damn thing on. As a result, she'll be able to keep an eye on it. Also, with the old litter box, our older cat used to have a bit of an anxiety problem. She'd spend 5 minutes trying to cover her poop with old litter, scraping the sides of the litter box over and over. She can now come and go with the Catgenie because the reusable litter is WASHED every day with fresh scented cleaner. I've made up my mind!.
