This is a replacement for my original, which was thrown away by my father while I was pregnant when he thought he was being helpful by cleaning the box for me. Now, the one I bought was discarded in the same way, by the same person. I can't justify spending $35 (including shipping) on something over and over again. This time, I don't even need the lid; all I need is the ring, which I'm guessing cost around a dollar to make. I'd like another, but I've had enough of squandering my money. I'll just go back to my old method of double bagging the trash cans, which is a little more time consuming but also less expensive. I wish I could do more to support this company, but the cost and inability to buy these pieces separately is unfortunate.
The picture on the website is a little misleading, but the product is excellent. This item does not appear to come with a permanent tray, as shown in the picture. You'll still need one of the flimsy little trays you buy, but the bags eliminate the need to change them. It's simple to put together and makes a significant improvement; however, I wish it came with a more durable tray, as the pictures suggest. I couldn't find anything in the description that I didn't like, but I could be mistaken. When the description says "Combo," it may lead you to believe that it includes everything in the picture. So only throw away the lids of your old trays, not the trays themselves.
This sounded like a fantastic idea. It, however, was a colossal failure. br>br>First and foremost, the Bag- Its frame is too big for the litter tray. This means that, despite the advertisement, "stuff" leaks around the frame and down into the tray, which is supposed to remain "pristine. " Second, because of the frame's side-to-side thickness, "stuff" ends up on top, pressed against the tray lid. Finally, when you try to remove the bag, the "stuff" that it did manage to collect causes the bag to swell sideways, making it impossible to remove without massaging it through the frame and risking ripping it and dispersing the "stuff" all over the place. br>br>After about the third try, I just put the bag in the tray WITHOUT the Bag-It-Yourself-It-Yourself-It-Yourself-It-Yourself-It-Yourself-It-Yourself-It-Yourself It, and then folded the top down around the tray's OUTSIDE. This is a pretty good solution. It's a little difficult to get the tray into the litter box, but it keeps the tray clean and is relatively simple to remove to dispose of the "stuff. " br>br>The Permafrost Permafrost Permafrost Permafrost Perma The lid serves its purpose and is a worthwhile investment in and of itself. The Bag- It's a plastic waste.
I've bought four of these so far. It's said to be made of polycarbonate, but I'm not convinced. It's made of such flimsy material that it snaps easily. It doesn't matter if you handle it with extreme caution. After that, I had to use an acrylic glue that didn't work with polycarbonate to repair them. (I have my doubts about them because of this. ) ) I've used paper clips that have been embedded in a resin mix to give them a second life after they've broken. br>At the price they are asking, they should make the ring out of a more durable material. br>I'm "adapting" ideas, and if I can't come up with a better solution, I might market a competing product.
If you have an automatic littermaid litterbox, this is a must-have accessory to transform it into the ultimate "set it and forget it" litterbox. Now he couldn't live without his device. I actually elevated my litterbox on a table, cut out the bottom of one of the drop-in plastic trash cans, and then used the bag-in-bag method. I can go on business for a week without worrying about litter clumps overflowing. Despite having two cats, I only have half a grocery sack at the end of the week. Huge cost-cutting potential, as well as a high level of convenience. a great deal of pleasure This is a must-have item; do not hesitate to purchase.
Although the concept is fantastic, there is still a lot of litter and waste around the perimeter. Although it is convenient to be able to simply lift the bag out, there will still be some mess and emptying to be done. Just not to the same extent as when it's just the receptacle.
It does help with the emptying process. It is true that the tray is not included. The "combo" in the title refers to a plastic bag insert and a new solid lid to replace the current litter box lid with the holes for inserting the top half of those small trays. We've all been buying those trays to use anyway, even though it doesn't come with them. Now you only have to use one for as long as it lasts, or until it falls apart or your bag breaks. You'll still have to empty the litter, but it'll be a lot easier with this bag. Because the tray is usually flimsy, the emptying process can be awkward. You can empty the plastic bag without causing any damage to the tray this way. The insert loop actually strengthens the tray and prevents it from popping off, which makes it even better. It doesn't entirely solve the problem, but it's a step in the right direction.
This is a good way to keep the plastic bag in place. The only complaint I have is that when the tray is full of kitty waste, I sometimes have to touch the waste to get to the BAG-IT. It took a while to frame, but that was mostly due to the fact that the tray was quite full. I have two cats, and the tray seemed to quickly fill up. Now I've got "High-Fidelity" on my resume. Littermaid has a high-capacity litter collection system that works well. As a result, I'm no longer in need of the BAG- it thing.
