The rim of this cat pan measures about 22" long by 16" wide. This pan's height varies from about 7" in the front to 11" on the backside, with a gradual slope up to the backside.
We have three of these pans, as well as three Nature's Miracle high-quality nonstick pans. Litter pans with a sided design are currently in use. I clean the underside of the detachable rims that overhang the litter on a regular basis with the Catit pans because I've discovered urine there (especially in the low step-in pans). in front of the edge). One of our cats, a large domestic shorthair, likes to urinate while standing with her backside close to the edge of the litter pan. She can urinate easily out the front and even over the tall back edge of the Catit or Nature's Miracle pans. You're less likely to find urine under the detachable rim if your cat sits or squats in the middle of the pan to urinate.
Yes, it will fit your colossal feline. Shadow, my 16-pound big boy, can jump in, turn around, and choose his spot with ease. He (and others) can pee at one end and poo at the other end of the pan. Do not inquire as to why he is acting in this manner. My only response is that he does so because the pan is large enough for him to do so. Is it only for cats? Sure, if an entire litter of eight has to do everything together.
smooth! This pan is fantastic! Cleaning is a breeze!

This litter pan was unquestionably the best purchase I could have made! Initially, I bought one of these litter boxes to replace one of the two litter boxes I already had at home, just in case they didn't like the new taller sided litter box. So I cleaned the room completely and placed this Catit litter box in one corner and my existing litter box in the other, just to see if the cats preferred one over the other and to see how much litter was thrown out of each box. I've attached a few photos taken after only two days of use; the photos speak for themselves. Not only did the new Catit cat litter pan prevent all of the litter from being strewn across the floor/mat, but the cats also seemed to prefer it over the previous three: To the old pots and pans, I give you one. I bought a second one almost immediately after seeing the results, and I'm so glad I did. br>br>I've had two of these for a few weeks and couldn't be happier with them. They still contain well over 95% of all the litter that my cats seem "to fling outside the pans. My only regret is that I didn't buy these litter pans sooner, or even at all. br>br>I would strongly recommend this litter pan to anyone who is getting a new cat or kitten, or who already has cats but is having trouble keeping the litter contained in their current pans.
They were distinguished by a rounded outward lip that was slightly lower than the fronts of these. My two most active "buriers" were able to stand outside the front of the box, "digging" the litter into piles on the floor directly in front of the boxes, thanks to the rounded outward lip. Even low- As a result of this, litter is being tracked. In addition, there are small litter piles. br>br>These new boxes have completely eliminated that issue! Of course, some tracking remains, but I've reduced the frequency of sweeps from daily to every three days! That, in my opinion, is a significant achievement. One of my cats likes to climb the sides of the boxes and leave them from there, as well as grab the edges and pull with her claws, pretending to bury her scat while actually making a lot of noise. I was concerned about the snap-back. I was worried that the lip on these would be ripped off by her, but they've held up admirably, even with her standing on them while climbing out the side. br>br>I adore, adore, adore these boxes. They should be the gold standard in uncovered boxes, and they should be available in every pet supply store, in my opinion. br>br>The color I received is more taupe than gray, and the snap-on closure isn't as secure as I'd like it to be. On the lips, they're a different shade, but I think they're pretty; I prefer the taupe color to the gray I expected. By the way, I got four of them. I'd buy it again if I had the opportunity.
This is, without a doubt, the best litter box we've ever had. I like how the liner is hidden beneath the top rim piece. In our last box, I was duct taping the liner to keep it from slipping and urine from getting into places it shouldn't. I used an Easyology disposable litter tray in conjunction with the Catit litter box. In the Catit box, the extra-large tray fits perfectly. It's so convenient to have a spot on the front of the box where you can keep the potty bag while scooping. There has been a significant reduction in the amount of mess generated as a result of this. I lined the litter box and placed the disposable tray in a liner for easier cleanup when it was time to replace it. For our cats, this appears to be effective. I was concerned about odor because we switched from a covered litter box to this, but none has emerged. The Catit is the ideal size for a laundry room cutout. I added a litter track mat, a privacy curtain, and an odor-absorbing stick-on to the room. in case anything goes wrong. I 100% strongly recommend the Catit Litter Pan to you!.
My two cats are both excellent at using the litterbox, but one of them gets in, doesn't dig at all, and pees wherever she is standing - including all the way down the back wall of her confined litterbox - Then she leaps out like a cannon, spraying litter all over the place and dragging it across the house with her paws. I started looking into it because I was tired of sweeping the floor three times a day, and I discovered that the problem could have been her not wanting to be in the enclosed pan, but I was worried that an open one would result in my other cat spraying litter all over the place, as he's a voracious digger. Or, even worse, that the older cat would not angle her bum down and, in the absence of a lid to block it, would simply spray pee all over the wall. This pan is brought in - I bought one to see how they did with it because the high sides with an overhanging lip seemed like a good combination, and we own several other catit brand products that we love, and they have great customer service. My cannonball cat has started angling her bum downward and digging a little deeper, and instead of jumping straight out, she now steps out onto the mat when she's finished. My digger boy continues to dig voraciously, but the litter is always caught by that little unobstrusive lid, no matter how crazy he gets. I gave them a week with the first one to make sure they liked it, and then I bought another one right away. I've reduced my litter sweeping to every other day, and we all appear to be less concerned about litterboxes.
