Questions & Answers

Is it true that it stinks more when there isn't a door?

I'm aware that I'm a little late to the party, but - I'm not bothered by odors in the slightest. However, I believe that regardless of box, the type of litter you use, as well as how often you clean it, makes the most difference. Apart from that, I have two cats who use it, but I attribute it to my litter mix as well - which is now almost entirely made up of grass seed litter 1/4 tiny clump of Garfield cassava (as a bottom layer to soak up the majority of the liquid). I also clean it by hand (using a disposable glove or a baggie to get even the tiniest remnants - This also extends the life of the box without requiring it to be emptied entirely) - from one day to the next It has never smelled to me before - Despite my hypersensitive nose! Though I see that the price has decreased as well, if you have Prime, it is even cheaper and well worth every penny. Since rescuing another stray, I'm actually back here to buy another. This box is fantastic!

What are the dimensions and/or size of this item?

"Really?" I thought as I read through the responses of others. You're unable to read, aren't you? The measurements are 26x23x20 inches. Keep in mind that this is a triangular shape with a slight rounded top. The front is 26" wide (from side to side). The width is 23" on both sides, and the height is 20". It's now 10" for the litter box and 10" for the hood because it's hooded. One of my cats enjoys digging in the litter box and strewing it all over the place. That is no longer the case! Because of the high walls, the litter is kept inside. It's also quite durable. One of my cats enjoys jumping on top of it (and he's no slouch!). Cleaning and replacing it is a breeze. The charcoal filter that comes in the top of the box didn't impress me at first, but it appears to do the job. My three cats and I are very happy with this litter box!

What is the height of the bottom piece alone?

What is the height of the entrance's bottom piece? My older, larger cat is having trouble getting into the house all the way.

What is the difficulty in removing the top for cleaning?

Personally, I leave the top on (the doorway is wide enough), but I also clean by hand using a plastic bag or a rubber/vinyl glove. It'll be a lot easier to collect all those stray specks. Because I now have two strays sharing the same box, I clean it every other day to every other week - But, on the other hand, I have excellent litter that makes a significant difference (Garfield brand cassava litter-- Although it is a little pricey, it is well worth it! I throw it away because it's flushable). br>However, even if you use a scooper, I don't think there's any reason to remove the top, which is only held in place by two clips.

Big! My large Maine coon has developed the habit of pooping directly outside every litter box I purchase
4/5

I'm giving this litter box a four-star rating because he still poops outside of it, but he fits in it, so I know it's not the size of the box. He's a jerk, plain and simple.

This litter box is one of my favorite things! I never imagined myself using the words "adore" and "litter box" in the same sentence, but there it is
5/5

Because we have two cats, I've been using this litter box for about a week and have just ordered another. I was desperate for a way to keep the litter box situation's dust and odor to a minimum. This box appeals to me because it allows you to scoop the litter without removing the hood. All of the dust is kicked up when you scoop litter, so this keeps it to a bare minimum. br>br>I also came up with my own storage solution for the litter scooper (see photo). I used a Command brand hook to attach it to the inside of the litter box, and it worked perfectly! It securely holds the scoop and prevents it from slipping out of the box. I used to just leave the scoop propped up against the litter box's side, but it would occasionally fall over. Don't be afraid to give it a shot.

This is a colossal box
4/5

I admit that I didn't read the reviews first because I thought this box would be a great space saver because my other litter box was a little too big for my space. Well, it arrived today, and it's enormous. Don't get me wrong, I like it, and my cats do too, but it uses a lot of litter and looks even more awkward in the corner. As a result, make sure you have a large corner to work with. However, for the price, it is an excellent box.

Best box I've ever seen! Wow! So, I don't usually leave reviews
5/5

Never. But I'm so pleased with this litter box that I feel compelled to tell you about it. As everyone has said, this box is quite large. I ordered it online, and when it arrived, it was already full of litter, so my five-year-old climbed into it. He crawled through the hole, turned around inside, and sat down. br>br>I thought I'd put it up against some of the negative comments I'd seen: First and foremost, the side clips that hold the top in place were simple to use. Clamping and undoing them is simple. Second, the opening is high enough off the ground, in my opinion, to prevent litter from spilling out. Perhaps those who are having issues with this should not fill it so high. I filled it with about 10-12 pounds of litter (which was more than enough). Finally, some people complained that it was flimsy or cheap, but that is not the case. br>br>I've had a lot of cat boxes, and this one is fantastic! Also, the clumps coming off the sides and bottom have been doing well so far. The anti-stick claim made by the company appears to be true. br>br>I understand that everyone has an opinion, but this box is absolutely fantastic in my opinion! I thought I'd add one more thing to the mix. My heaviest cat (15 pounds) had never used a litter box with a cover before, and he walked right in and claimed it as his own, lol. I was concerned that he wouldn't use it due to the cover, but so far everything has gone well. This litter box gets two thumbs up from this cat owner, who has one adult cat and two kittens.

For a big cat, this is a fantastic litter box! For my 18 pound cat, this is an excellent litter box
5/5

cat. She has plenty of room to move around, and the large opening is appealing to me. The litter box's depth prevents her from strewing litter all over the floor. It's very sturdy and fits nicely in a corner. What a fantastic item!.

What a swarm of cats! My Mainecoon (possibly part tiger) weighs 20 pounds
5/5

I've struggled for ten years to find litter boxes large enough to accommodate his size, and I've even resorted to using a tote, but that didn't work because he thought he could do a balancing act and flipped it over. Because of his size, he would always end up peeing over the side of the litter box because he couldn't maneuver in a regular litter box, let alone one with a cover because he couldn't fit through the opening. I came across this gem while looking for a large litter box. It's huge and has a big opening, holy cats. He can get through the opening even with the lid on. There hasn't been any peeing over the side of the litter box, and there hasn't been any extra litter on the floor. The little filter appears to help with odors because I haven't smelled anything in a week. As a liner, I use a 33 gallon trash bag, which was a tight fit to get on, but it works. This litter box isn't designed for small spaces, but the fact that it's a corner box gives it an extra sense of privacy. I'm ecstatic to have come across this. It's helped me avoid a lot of trouble. His new bathroom appears to be a hit with him. It was very reasonably priced and well worth the money.

This isn't one of my favorite cat boxes
3/5

I really wanted to like this product, but I just went back to the style I was previously using. They are enormous, but the interior does not appear to be spacious, and the cats continue to pee in the same spot in the back corner because it is the only place where they can stand comfortably. That's two of my cats, a 15-pounder and an 8-pound old lady. Because my senior cat pees straight back, I need a box with very high sides. This was a little lower than I had hoped for, and there was always urine in the gap between the base and the lid, as well as no indication that the front lip, which I assume is to keep little in, did anything other than irritate the cats. br>br>I also found scooping difficult because there were too many angles to get the scoop into, and I had to remove the cover because it was so deep and they peed in the back.

The cat was put to the test
5/5

Following my adult daughter's return home, I now have five cats in my house. I purchased two of these babies to meet the additional "need. " They are a huge hit with the cats! They jumped all over them as soon as we took them out of the boxes. We had one in the living room (empty) for days because they loved to play in it, sleep in it, and climb on it. br>br>It's a good size; even my daughter's 30 pound dog fits in there comfortably. It's deep enough for the right amount of litter, the sides and cover keep it mostly in the box, and it doesn't appear to stick to the pan! It easily slides off the table and into the scoop.
