I think cats may differ in their capability of licking their injured legs. I saw my cat lick his injured leg using this. My 12 pound adult male is medium sized and was able to move around it just fine. After ordering a soft device shaped like a cone, I got my fingers crossed that it will assist.

This is a much better alternative to the usual plastic cone of shame when it comes to cuteness, practicality, and ease of use
4/5

Afterward, we took my cat to the vet and he got thrown in the cone of shame - the big, plastic one. When we returned home, he was flailing around like a fish, despite my efforts to isolate him from others. for him since he would likely end up falling and breaking pieces of furniture, so I bought this and got it right away. Despite the fact he wasn't fond of it, he got used to it faster and didn't flail about. It was like he surrendered easily and went to lay The amount of distance he had to view and to eat was so much reduced that eating was much easier and less messy. I simply threw it in the wash if he got any food or dirt on it. I just moved it from his belly to me and he did try to move it around like a tutu a few times. In the end, he would still have had difficulty cleaning his bum because of it. A second benefit of using orange slices is that they are reusable and do not get warped like plastic cones do. Worth the time and effort. Owners will either spend hours snapping cute photos, or have a lot of them.

and useful at the same time
5/5

I bought this for my cat to wear while she recovers from her spay. As long as she can get in and out of the litter box and use it as a pillow on her back, she did fine with it. The dressing kept her from licking her stitches, but she is still able to eat and use it. The collar is still one of my staples for when I notice she needs some neck support while she is napping, and she has no issues.

The comfort and activity of your kitty aren't hindered
5/5

Everywhere except for one. She made one tiny spot bleed to the point where she scratched her eyebrows and from beside her eyes making her brows and side of her eyes There are no fleas on her since she is a house cat. In this case, an antibiotic application did not seem to be doing any good, so we decided to try this little "donut" pillow. Its airless design means that I do not have to worry about it being punctured by a claw. Although she doesn't really enjoy wearing it, she hasn't been inconvenienced by it either. She can go to where she wants to go or eat and drink as she pleases without stopping. As it is a small pillow, she can sleep on it without difficulty. She can occasionally get her scratching foot through it, but then she is hindered in doing so. It does a good job stopping claws from pressing against skin most of the time, and it looks pretty cute, too. The toy she uses for her face scratching is made out of a soft brush, so she can get a safe scratch without having to worry about getting cut. A little information about her could be of interest to some she is a small adult cat, and her vertical challenge doesn't matter. Her ex is still extremely close to her As long as her litter box remains covered, and she is a small feline who loves her box covered, it proved to be a little difficult for her to pass through the like she couldn't push on in, but she was bothered enough to check out a couple of other spots in the house, something she had never In the case of an uncovered box, that should not be an issue.

This is a brilliant alternative to cones
5/5

I cannot express my gratitude enough. Take a look at what Romeo looks like in that 'super adorable' cone compared to our Romeo in the nasty, itchy cone It is wonderful to find an ‘alternative’ to the typical cone. I don't often leave reviews, but I just couldn't resist. The teddy bear can be used as a sleeping bag, roll around in, and even be eaten while it is on him. He is not in the least bit uncomfortable after having surgery, and Orange Slice, his new nickname, should be just fine for the next week and a half! I give it 10 out of 10.

It's more comfortable than a cone when it comes to doing its job
5/5

It may look as if she's planning to kill me in my sleep, but she's so much happier now than she was when she was wearing a She wouldn't touch food or drink and would barely lift her head while inside the cone. Once her stuffed orange slice was put on, she went right to her food. She is back to be loveable now. We just needed it to stop her from reaching her rear end, which it does effectively. Having her less miserable has made her much happier, and I'm glad for her.

It's a good idea in principle
4/5

As for my cat, I got this because I thought it would be easier for her to eat from it and much more comfy than a regular While he gave it a little bit of a try, within the first hour we found that he had pee on it from the litter box and I am not sure if it would actually prevent him from scratching his sore open Despite the pineapple design having a green top, the green top doesn't stay up it slides down and drags a little on the floor. As a matter of fact, he is not a little cat, but is a bit larger than average and weighs about 12 pounds. It did fit well otherwise, so perhaps removing the lid would prevent him from getting a nasty smell from it.

Keeping my little dog within the fence has been a breeze! Despite an 8 pound puppy walking (and running) right through a wrought iron fence, I don't even think it's There have been neighbors, construction workers, realtors, and anyone else who happens to come by while she's outside! She loves exploring the yard, and I hated having to keep her in a crate whenever I opened the door to let her out
5/5

Wearing this collar out in the wild is a pleasure because it's soft, doesn't interfere with her, and she doesn't seem to mind it. She takes it off when she comes inside, but I imagine it would work fine if she had to wear it all the time- There's a medical issue to be dealt with. So far I haven't washed or air dried it, but I expect everything will work if I wash it on gentle cycle and air dry it. Around the neck there is a drawstring that allows it to be adjusted to There is no irritation from the drawstring because it is encased in fabric. It doesn't need to be adjusted every time she puts it on or takes it off.

Despite how well it tolerates it, the cat doesn't seem to mind much
5/5

E- is soft and soothing It is way better to wear a collar than to wear a see-through tube She caused a big commotion when she got home by tearing off the one that the vet put on her. After she got the plastic one off, she thrashed around like she had a grand mal seizure. There are two halves to her I tried my best to pull this one off, so there will be none of the past drama. As long as it's on, she can sleep in it and get around the house just fine There's no sign that it disorients her in any way. I'm glad to say that the litterbox opening is large enough to accommodate this collar as well. You can tighten and loosen the drawstring to quickly put it on and take it Having one of these collars around is highly recommended, just in case you need it. The orange one and watermelon one I bought were so she would wear one when it was time to clean the other.
