I used lots of treats and distracted my cats so they became used to them, though initially they were a little apprehensive. In my opinion, my boy enjoys them the most. They all walk really well and have no issues, and in a couple of weeks when they shed their nail sheaths they will come off with them. This is my favorite! I love them very much! I've tried double sided tape, essential oils, and no scratch spray to prevent him from doing it. Even after we sprinkled her with catnip, she did not touch the scratching posts/boards we purchased for her. We watched her shred our house over and over again. Because of that, my boyfriend was thinking of declawing her (which I strongly oppose!) and so I knew I had to set something up right away. The product description says it comes in 14 different colors, which made me super excited. However, when I got them, only 10 caps per color were included. There are 14 claws on my cat, and to paint all of them, I would have to take two different colors. Since she is an all black cat, her nails look great with a uniform look. A few other things were also wrong I had an extra yellow 11, no green, and 9 caps instead of 10. It's really great to have nail caps like these! Their many different colors make it easy for you to find one that matches your outfit. I had no problem putting these on since my cat is always very calm when I cut her nails. I've never seen anything cuter than these nail caps! Her collar matches the blue/green nail caps she's wearing right now. They're gorgeous, and they match her nails. In our opinion, her claws should be removed by surgery rather than by cutting them off. I was so happy with how the caps turned out! As with any superglue, if you aren't careful and get it on your fingers, or worse, on your cat's fur, then you are going to smear it around. Except for that, the caps seem to work really well. Fortunately, our cat doesn't seem to mind them at all, which I suppose is dependent on how you feel about them.
