It is a bit chunky to hold the scissors. There is a guide like that to avoid people clipping their pets' nails too short, even though I found it challenging to see exactly where I was cutting the nail. Nonetheless, I have found that using this general style of cat claw trimmer has been the best I have used since I began owning cats several decades ago. The one at the top may be more streamlined than the one at the bottom.

There are quite a few differences between these and the old pliers. I have been using a different type of clipper, and it took me a while to get used to it. As you hold it, the clipper portion is small, just like a scissors. In a mirror, do you know how hard it can be to choose the ideal place to put the scissor blades? The situation is the same. As you get used to holding the tiny clipper up next to your fingers, your hand must become accustomed to it. As soon as you get the claw and the clipper together, it becomes easier to simply close the scissor instead of holding recommend it because it's cheap, it's good, and it's well made.

This has been working well for me for the past few weeks on our 2,6 and 8 year olds The month - These kittens grew up together Since I had used straight blades on other cats before, it was a bit of an adjustment to use a curved blade, but once I adjusted, I find them to be much more useful

Because the clippers are so well fitted to my hands, I feel like I have complete control when using I like it a lot!

Note I remember the one time our vet did a complimentary nail trim for us and it's been a huge help since then Changing the game. Generally it takes two people, but one must sit down, support the cat under the arms, and hold the bottom on the lap, against the belly (cat's back to you). Then, simply hold a bowl or plate of wet cat food slightly above their heads (so their heads do not get in your way) so that their heads are extended up and away from you while eating. It is the other person's responsibility to clip the toe nails. This works great for our kitty cats, and it makes the entire experience quick and easy.
