Questions & Answers

For years, my two cats have devoured Mixed Grill, but they have stopped eating it in the last few weeks. Has there been a change in the formula?

Hah! My good friend My problem is similar to yours. Not yet with the Mixed Grill, but with the Salmon. Salmon is no longer eaten by even feral cats. For the past four months, this has been the case. The ans. won't ever be granted We believe there has been a change in processing/processing plants, as well as the formula.

Is it possible to find out how many calories a can (5. 5oz)? Thanks?

I'm not sure what each can's calorie count is, but I recommend calling Friskies at 1-866-Friskies. 800- 778- 8864 I feed one cat three to four servings from each can, mixed with another type, for ut issues, and I haven't noticed any weight gain in the six months I've been on this program. I keep an eye on his weight because he's a big cat.

Why is it that the advertisement says "cans" but the description says "pouches"? This is only if they are CANS that I want. ?

This item is available in both versions. It's most likely a mistake. This item came in cans when I ordered it. Make sure you understand the ad. best of luck

What kind of texture do you have? What kind of pate, chunks, or shreds are you looking for? Thanks?

First and foremost, Amazon should be chastised for grouping reviews of multiple items together. This page offers four different flavor options as well as a package that includes six cans of each flavor. When you click on each option, you'll see the selected flavor in a bowl with a back label in the upper left corner. Only the "Scrumptious Salmon and Chicken Liver Dinner" variety is a pate, as previously stated. The remaining three varieties resemble sauce chunks. Wheat gluten, soy flour, and modified corn starch are all included in the ingredients of the three "chunks" varieties. Putting aside the debate over the health effects of grains in cat food, these ingredients alter the food's taste and consistency. (I'm afraid I've never tried canned cat food.) ) My pickiest eater licks the sauce off the chunks and eats a few before passing the rest on to the others. Most of the chunks in the "SauceSations, with Salmon and Tuna in Creamy Sauce" were left behind by my overweight female who isn't a picky eater. Purina did not use any of the tainted ingredients from China that killed many pets who were fed store brands and at least one super premium name brand (that begins with the letter I) years ago. As I recall, some astute businesspeople decided that by adding a toxic compound containing nitrogen, they could deceive protein tests.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT AS IT CONTAINS WORMS AND MAGGOTS! Because of all the pandemic nonsense, I've had to start ordering my cat's food online (Amazon)
3/5

Previously, I'd been getting her Friskies pate' in variety packs from Costco, and she seemed to prefer the mixed grill the best, so when I saw that Amazon had 24 pks of that particular kind, I jumped on it. The first round went well; she ate half a can twice a day, and when I ran out, I ordered another 24 pack. br>Well, we've been on this pack for about a week now, and she's been wanting more, and more, and WAY MORE than she usually does (we're talking like 2-to-3 times more than she usually eats). She's downing three whole cans a day now), but she's getting thinner and thinner for some reason. Then, tonight, as I went to give her another 1/2 of her now 2nd can of the day, I noticed a MAGGOT, or some other disgusting WHITE WORM-like creature burrowing into the pate'! I couldn't stop laughing! I asked my husband if this was an old, opened for a while can or something, and he replied, "No, it's the one I fed her with earlier today" (we alternate feeding her, and my husband, God bless him, isn't as observant as I am)! I put that can aside, but realized my meowing cat at my feet still needed to be fed, so I opened a SEALED BRAND NEW CAN. Nothing was moving on the surface, so I scooped 1/2 the pate' into her bowl with a spoon, only to see the bowl begin to crawl with the "unearthed" little white worms just like the one I saw in the previous can! OMG! I frantically tried to pull my cat away from her bowl so I could scoop the food back into the can, and when I did, there were at least 5 of those worms in her bowl, all trying to dig their way out of the light and deeper into her pate'! br>I'm certain my cat has ingested one, if not several, of those worms from previous cans, which is why she's getting skinnier and skinnier while still having a fantastic appetite; I'm sickened by all of this and will not be giving her any more cans from this pack, let alone ordering any more cat food from Amazon. AND THE FACT THAT THIS COULD KILL MY CAT has me completely freaked out. I put the two cans in a ziplock bag and within an hour, two of the maggots had crawled out! SO incredibly repulsive!.

For Our Furry Little Carnivores, An Affordable Carnivore's Diet I was a cat rescuer - abused and abandoned - for a number of years I'm down to four dogs that are great for me but can't be adopted
5/5

That's the backstory in a nutshell. struvite crystals are common in ferals, as they are in many ferals. This is a genetic form of crystals, not a stress-related condition, though stressors can exacerbate it. I did some research on struvite crystals, which are a common and often overlooked problem in cats. So there's my teeny-tiny feral mother cat and her two sons. That's three of the four I have left - They've all got struvite, and I've finally figured out how to get rid of it, so they don't have it anymore. All you need is a gluten-free canned food diet on a regular basis. There will be no "gravy" or other gluten-containing foods. Mine prefer a mix of liver and chicken pate, as well as Poultry Platter pate with a weekly addition of salmon pate. Strucvite crystals were completely eliminated from their diet after they were put on a pate-only diet. Pate not only feeds the cats a carnivore diet, as cats are carnivores. In contrast to humans, dogs' bodies prefer a protein-only diet. According to proponents of a carnivore diet, the feline body was not designed to digest carbohydrates, especially difficult ones like gluten - You're probably familiar with them from the meat chunks, flakes, and slices sold for our cats. They also claim that a wild cat's normal carbohydrate intake is determined by the amount of grass in the stomach of the mouse it consumes. My sheep are a little different, and they will eat good quality grass if I plant it for them. They will eat kibbles as well, but it is said that no matter how much they love them, they will only survive rather than thrive on them. br>br>I started my four on a carnivore diet and noticed that they were all slimmer and sleeker, their coats were shinier, and my fat cat had lost almost two pounds in just a few months, despite the fact that I was feeding them unlimited wet food twice a day. It's absolutely incredible. My 7-pound feral mommy cat is 12-years-old but looks like a six-year-old. The boys are in a similar situation. Despite the fact that the youngest, the two boys, are 11 years old, they are more active and play more. If you want your cat to be healthier, I recommend a pate diet. And, because I can't afford the $25 to $30 for 12 cans of "better brands" of wet cat food, I rely on Purina, which has been feeding farm and domestic animals for longer than any of us can remember.

WARNING FROM THE FDA: SUPREME SUPPER IS INVOLVED
3/5

I couldn't figure out why my cat was vomiting whenever he ate a can of Supreme Supper, which used to be one of his favorites. br>Thinking there might be a recall, I looked on the internet and discovered that Purina, the parent company, had received a warning from the FDA regarding "SIGNIFICANT DEVIATIONS FROM THE LOW ACID CANNED FOOD REGULATIONS. "br>br>The FDA also had concerns that the pet This entails bacteria-laden raw pet food! br>The FDA also expressed concern that Purina's response was insufficient, but did not specify how they would address the problem. This report can be found on the FDA's website as well as a website called "Truth about Pet Food. " com". br>I'm assuming that Amazon has become the dumping ground for IFFY product because my cat usually loves this flavor, which was listed as a concern (no lot's because there was no actual recall), and now he's vomiting it up and boycotting it. br>br>I advise against buying this.
