Questions & Answers

What's the deal with this flavor not being available everywhere?

In 2016, something similar happened. The beef and liver classic pate was even removed from the Fancy Feast website, which was a major setback because it was the only flavor our cat would eat. We paid up to $5 per can for the last few hundred cans we could find on the internet. On several recall websites, there was no indication that there had been a manufacturing problem or a contamination issue. Beef liver was used in a variety of flavors after that. Within a year, the beef and liver flavor was once again widely available in both local stores and online, at the same price as before. Regular beef pate and senior beef feast classic pate remain available. I'm hoping that classic beef and liver pate, which was popular in 2016/17, will return soon.

On those cans, what is the date of expiration?

2020 However, they never last that long in this town. I own two cats and also provide food for feral cats.

What's the best way for me to get my hands on it?

It's available at most grocery stores and pet stores, as well as on Amazon and other pet food websites.

Is it possible that your package has not arrived?

Yes.

Thank you so much for rescuing my cat! My cat, who is 17 years old, has always been slim and healthy
5/5

However, it's been difficult to get her to eat enough to maintain her weight over the last year. It worried me a lot, so my vet and I decided to take her off the Rx Science Diet she'd been on for her thyroid issues, and now I give her Rx meds in her ears every day to keep her thyroid under control. I was told by the vet that I could now feed her any type of cat food. "Anything she'll eat!" she said when I asked what kind. "Saying it is easier than doing it. " br>br>I began with the Fancy Feast with Gravy that had been "grilled. " The gravy was amazing, and she devoured it! But she simply licked it all away, leaving the "rubbery" turkey, salmon, and tuna behind. behind, and so on. I tried every flavor, crossing my fingers each time, but she refused to eat any meat, no matter how good it was. And the gravy was insufficient to feed her. She was still in the process of slimming down! Then I decided to look at Amazon reviews. br>br> One person reminded me that cats in the wild eat a variety of animals to get the essential proteins and nutrients they need to survive, so it's critical that we provide our beloved felines with food that's high in protein but also high in the essential minerals and vitamins that cats in the wild obtain by hunting and eating various types of prey. I stopped giving her the ones with gravy (or the rubbery grilled meats) because I knew the gravy alone didn't provide nearly enough protein and calories. And I could tell she was always hungry, but she'd starve to death before eating anything less than delicious. So much uneaten cat food ended up in the trash! br>br>According to one reviewer, the vet recommended Purina's "Classic" Fancy Feast (pate'). Well. This is something that my cat absolutely adores! I'm overjoyed that I've finally discovered something she enjoys while also being high in protein! br>br>At her most recent checkup, the vet informed me that she had gained 1/3 of her body weight! br>br>While it appears that she prefers beef, I alternate with chicken or turkey pate' to keep her from becoming bored with her favorite meat. br>br>It's just a bonus for me and my guests that her food doesn't leave any pungent odors in the kitchen. It's not because she eats everything right away, because she doesn't. Neither has it ever been. It's just that the beef pate smells like GOOD cat food to me. br>br>Through Amazon's Subscribe and Save program, I get two boxes per month (which I LOVE!). I also purchase one box of "variety" classic Fancy Feast to ensure that I always have some on hand. br>br>Thank you!.

My Diva, my Diva, my Diva, my Diva Because I have a true Diva on my hands, I purchase this brand and flavor
5/5

She will only eat this type of wet food, and she only wants the Classic Beef variety. I know, she's a spoiled brat. That's fine; she's almost 19, so she's entitled to whatever she desires. That is all that matters because I love her.

Menadione is a toxic substance that has been banned by the FDA for use in humans
3/5

This is something I've stopped buying because it contains Menadione, a controversial vitamin K supplement. For two reasons, pets don't require this: 1) They get Vitamin K from their gut bacteria, and 2) this additive is controversial, as it has been linked to cell damage that can harm the liver. "Even in very small amounts, daily ingestion of menadione over the lifetime of a dog or cat is cause for concern," says Karen Becker, DVM. Why is it necessary for Purina to include this in pet food? They should be familiar enough with the research to recognize that they are introducing something unnecessary and potentially dangerous. br>br>According to the website, some of the negative effects of menadione include. . . br>• causes cytotoxicity in liver cellsbr>• damages the natural vitamin K cyclebr>• causes hemolytic anemia and hyperbilirubinemia, not just in large dosesbr>• is directly toxic in high doses (vomiting, albuminuria), unlike natural vitamin Kbr>• has never been researched or specifically approved for long-term use, such the- due to its high toxicity, it should not be used as a supplement. " br>br>Halo is the game I'm going to stick with. A high-quality grain With more wholesome ingredients, it's now a gluten-free brand.

The best low-cost diabetic cat food
5/5

My diabetic cat was given a fancy feast classic recipe by the vet. Due to shortages, it's currently difficult to find in department stores. All of my cats enjoy the traditional Pate, so I'll continue to order it from Amazon rather than hoping it'll be available in the store. My sugar baby passed away, but my other cats will continue to eat this in addition to their raw cat food in the future.

Cat food is extremely expensive
5/5

I'm not sure what to say. My 9-year-old stray cat has been prescribed hyperthyroid medication and cat food to treat kidney problems. I've tested her on eight different food brands so far. She liked it for two cans and then refused to eat it. This one wasn't prescribed, but I was hoping she'd like it so I could switch it up every now and then. I've given away a lot of cat food to various animal shelters so far. I decided to offer her the current one, which is prescribed, and if she doesn't eat it, she will be given the same one (albeit from a new can). To cut a long story short, she's now eating it but not the vegetables - Only the chicken was consumed. She's also starting to gain weight and isn't vomiting up her food as much anymore.
