We were advised to take this food and another one by our veterinarian. The first time she saw it, she didn't want anything to do with it-— There is only one dry food (Purina DM) which must be consumed daily. I then tried it again, and she gobbled this up again. I was unsure why she did not like the Purina, so I did not pursue it further. She still enjoys eating this food and her diabetes is in a good place. All prescription cat food is overpriced, but this is only true of this particular brand.
