Questions & Answers

Are the shoulder blades greasy after using this product?

If you put it on kitty the day you get it, it does. In a couple of days, the product will spread evenly on the skin of Kitty, which will not be greasy nor will it sting or dry the skin. petting the back or the stomach makes her purr like a kitten on the day of application. Scratching the ears also helps the application. I have a cat that suffers from allergies and fleas, and it works great for it. You can also try it on your pet if it works. The kitty I own lives in an apartment, so it takes a little bit longer for it

Do you think you can use this on cats that are scratching and licking themselves to have scabs?

In the event that the scabs are over the place where the medicine was applied, I would not employ it. In this scenario, I would assume my cat was having an adverse reaction to Pet Armour, and I would The cat that I used Advantage on scratched so much that it caused hair loss on several scalps and caused the areas to scab. Pet Armor works perfectly for him and he does not seem to be reacting negatively to it. Having a cat that works best for you might be the answer to your problem. It is best to wait a couple of weeks before trying anything new and not to put it on the scabbed area. If you are experiencing any problems, talk to your veterinarian.

Can you burn your skin with this?

Aside from skin burns, there were no problems. The vet claims that local fleas have become resistant to the ingredients in the product here in California, so it did not appear to be very effective.

Are there any odors associated with this product? I see this product has the same ingredients as Frontline, and I know our cat hates the odor. ?

There's one cat in my home who has a very particular attitude towards droppings. The one he did seem to mind less was this one. It is hoped that it will work like Frontline.

In the long run, it is no longer as effective as it used to be
4/5

It is almost impossible for flea treatments to work on cats, and people complain about the weirdest things, as if these spot-on treatments were supposed to radiate some noxious force that kept fleas at bay. I'm sure you will see more scratching on the cat after you apply this. In other words, poison makes fleas itch and itch until they are sick. Not only that, but some felines are simply allergic to this stuff, so when you buy things yourself from a store rather than from a veterinarian, you take a risk. In the end, yes, this product may stop working at some point. Just as any other living creature builds immunity to things, fleas build it as well. Despite the odds, life always finds a way, and this targets fleas at critical stages of their life cycle. It is not unusual for fleas to lay QUITE a lot of eggs in one lifetime, even if they are 0 days old. The survival rate for fleas is 1%, and that will suffice in a few weeks for millions of fleas. The same reason doctors switch up your antibiotics if you have to take a bunch is to keep your flea medication fresh. Your flea medication needs to be changed every so often. Anyhow, this stuff is pretty effective, but it loses 1 star because I'm not yet convinced that it penetrates the fatty layer in the cat and remains active for an entire After approximately two weeks to 18 days, it looks as if it is This is something I can verify since I've combed fleas from my cat several times to see how effective they can be over time. After the first 2 weeks, I went back to check on them after getting them together and watched all of them just die. I treated my cat with it after 3 weeks (21 days), but no flea appeared to be harmed. Additionally, my cat gets quite itchy from irritation after I apply it to her skin. The concern I have is that my cat is sensitive to it due to her own personal characteristics. Because her skin is absorbing and storing poison, she has a severe sensitivity to all types of spot treatments. "I use this flea treatment program to kill fleas, and I have found it very effective 1) Apply spot treatment
2) Sprinkle diatomaceous earth around the house at same time as spot treatment
3) Put a Capstar in on the same day as spot treatment. over the floor, then sweep it in* 4) Spray your baseboards with house spray (about 3-1/2 oz. Currently, I am living in the Southern Deep South, in a poorly sealed trailer near a tree and a lake It's a given that I'm stung by fleas every.

That is a terrible thing to happen
3/5

I recommend staying away from this product. The medication we gave our cat resulted in her being on the verge of death. This product was used in her last year without any side effects, so I figured nothing to worry about. Lethargic is how she is. A stroke seems to have struck her. Walking straight is not an option for her. There is a limp and she does not know where to go. It is probably the flea and trick treatment that has caused her ill effects. I recommend staying away from this product. That is a terrible thing to happen.

I prefer it over Frontline because it is much less smelly
5/5

Nevertheless, it is not the same as There is a cat in my house that is very sensitive to topicals. She is unaffected by this one. In the same way as humans, different cats have different allergies, which is why they may react poorly to some cat products beyond frontline, or to the other side of advantage, or to this side. There is a similar product, but this is cheaper, and Frontline Plus does not leave behind a strong smell, which I find annoying. As well as having less greasy spots, I use it on the sensitive cat who lies on my head while she crawls into my bed. She is nicknamed by the family as my 'hat' because she often sleeps underneath me in my bed. Thus, I have a problem with strong smells and greasy spots on the clothes. When fleas are present, I will switch between this and Advantage II on a monthly basis, because Advantage II is more expensive and also kills fleas quite differently, and most studies show that imidacloprid (the one in Advantage II) is more effective. an experiment quoted by Metzger and Rust, 2002, on Oropsylla montana, a mouse flea that some cats are affected by. In that trial, both treatments killed 100% of fleas, but fipronil killed them Fipronil, on the other hand, didn't last as long as imidacloprid in another study (Schnieder et al. , 2019). My blood was flowing like a river, and I screamed like a baby! inserts, you'll see they're still somewhat effective at 6 - and sometimes even Long story short, and I am sorry for the technical explanation, remember that Advantage and its clones are imidacloprid, and that Fipronil treatments need to be compared with fipronil, and imidacloprid needs to be compared with It could depend on the type of flea, the type of infestation and maybe even on your cat's own physiology how effective the two treatments are. So, while it is no substitute for imidacloprid, which I find to be more effective for an infestation, I have found that it is equally effective for prevention as Frontline, but LESS greasy and less odorous. The smell doesn't wake me up if my sensitive cat decides she'll be my hat, or it won't bother her when she decides to wear it. Compared to the "minus," the "plus" one is the The (S)- rating is also a plus Adding methoprene to plus products seems to keep fleas at bay, but all of them work similarly, so if you usually use (S)-based products, you should as well A methoprene drug (similar to (S)-pyriproxyfen is also a similar drug (both of them METHOPRENE is a growth regulator), so if you are comparing the efficacy of insecticides and anti-insecticides, make sure that they are both being compared. In one of the processes, it is important to use larval growth regulators rather than just chemicals. It may not be obvious, but I fully believe there are dozens of factors that make one flea treatment superior to another in some circumstances, but this one works great for me, and I like that it is less irritating.

It has been three days and still no effect
3/5

I am comfortable dealing with fleas since I have dealt with them in the past. All the tricks are in our hands Flies can be attracted with shallow water dishes with light on them. Flea bombs are another option. This is powder. This is sprayed. Using the comb at least three to four times each day. It was time to bathe the Make sure they sleep in a clean environment. When you apply the stuff on their shoulderblades, you still have to do all the stuff on a daily basis. *This time, we have indoor cats, and we had some fleas on them, and we decided that this would be a safe, natural way to deal with them while still being safe for the Okay, thanks for asking Not at all. We currently still have full grown adult fleas in our homes on the third day. This is the picture you can see It was two days after we applied the stuff to their necks. I even kept them separate so they weren't licking the stuff off, and we followed instructions perfectly all the time. It is great that Amazon gave us a refund and that they were great to deal with the situation. Maybe this stuff works for other people too. I just wanted to say it did not work for us.

This is the most affordable of them all
5/5

Being both flea and tick effective, this product will provide effective results I have not seen ticks on either of my cats in the last 3 months. A new one will be available then to cover the remainder of The name is much more expensive than this It is 3x more expensive to choose a brand.
