I switch every 6 weeks or so, though I believe they recommend changing once a month. The filters still look good at that point, but after six weeks, I notice some discoloration, so I'll switch.
These are only replacement filters; if you're looking for the fountain, the cord is approximately 4 feet long.
The black filter isn't included, to be sure.
I could easily see going three weeks between changes if you're using filtered water. My experience with only one cat, on the other hand, has been positive. The drinking fountain is being used by an animal. As a result, even if the water is clean, they bring their own load of schmutz, hair, food particles, and so on. My filtering routine consists of checking in on it once a week on Sunday to see how it's doing. The filters do a fantastic job by themselves.
Selected User Reviews For Veken Replacement Filters for 84oz/2.5L Automatic Pet Fountain Cat Water Fountain Dog Water Dispenser
I purchased a non-alcoholic beverage. Veken filters were disappointing due to the lack of charcoal and resin. I then purchased the more expensive Veken filters, anticipating that they would contain more charcoal and resin, as depicted in their photos. br>br>I was mistaken. Take a look at the photos that go with this review. Each quadrant would have to be filled with material in order for the charcoal and resin to have any effect. The water will flow around the charcoal and resin, taking the path of least resistance. br>br>Save your money and buy a less expensive brand; Veken's pictures are misleading, and a coffee filter would probably work just as well.
Not only can my 4-year-old son use it, but he can also use it by himself. year- (He has one more year of growth ahead of him - 2. (Thank goodness) He stands 5 feet tall (not including his tail) and weighs 25 pounds. The 27-pound Maine Coon did not knock it over (at long last!). We couldn't find anything to put water in that he wouldn't knock over, and this breed is known for enjoying water play. He plays with the fountain, but all he seems to be able to do is get a smidgeon of water on the mat or a tiny puddle on the floor every now and then. It's been a blessing in my life! Plus, it makes me happy to know that my baby is drinking filtered water that is healthier and safer for him! Filters should be changed once a month, according to the manufacturer. and, to be honest, we haven't changed it in two years, but we are going to do so today - Even so, I'm sure it's better than my dog drinking from a cup with no filter or fountain! Because the fountain is simple to assemble and disassemble, replacing the filter should be simple. I don't have a lot of extra cash, but these replacement filters are inexpensive, they work, and they give me peace of mind that my son is drinking the best water possible (I'm also very strict about his diet!). And, yes, he's in the 25-pound range. He's lost 27 pounds since he was a year old, and he's been on a diet! There is nothing we can do! LOL! This fountain, as well as the replacement filters for it, comes highly recommended!.
Every time I clean the fountain, all of the surfaces appear to be perfectly smooth and clean. The filter, on the other hand, is a slimy abomination. Because there is so much space to travel around it, I'm not sure if the water is forced through the charcoal. It appears to be nothing more than a rough surface on which mold can grow. I'm wondering if it's better not to use the filter at all.
These filters are far too easily contaminated with mold. In my pet's water, I discovered black, moldy worms. When I went to clean the water, I discovered several black worms in the filter as well. I'd been moritifed for quite some time. This has already occurred on two occasions.
The Veken Pet Fountain, 84oz/2, was the item I purchased. My two kittens adore the 5L Automatic Cat Water Fountain. Because they've been drinking so much more water since I bought it, I have to add water every few days. Which is fantastic, given how important it is to keep them hydrated. br>br>It's important to me to be able to disassemble the fountain and thoroughly clean it. And being able to easily swap out these filters was one of the most important factors in my decision to buy this product; they're cheap, and the dirty filter photo I posted was taken after one month. I think I'll do it more often now that I've seen the photo! br>br>About every two weeks, I change the water and rinse the filter to remove some of the hair and food particles - which is also part of my goal of extending the life of the water pump. I've had this water fountain for two months and neither I nor my two kittens have expressed any dissatisfaction with it.
The filter is nearly full. Why are there so many glowing reviews? Is it possible that I received a clone? I'm almost out of filters! PHOTO THAT MISLEAVES! Look at the picture I took. The filters are almost empty. I didn't open them because I was going to be back right away. The carbon in my filters is nearly gone. Their photo, in my opinion, is deceptive and misleading.
Cats adore having their own water fountain, and I've noticed that since purchasing it, my cats have been drinking a lot more water, which I believe is beneficial to their health and general well-being. As a pet owner, I am responsible for ensuring that they are drinking water from a filter, which requires purchasing filters on a monthly basis, sometimes less depending on the number of animals, but it does require purchasing filters, and while these filters are great, they are a bit pricey. I'm trying to find off-brand filters of similar shape that are compatible with the fountain I have, so we'll see how that works.
It's no longer necessary to get up early in the morning to turn on the bathroom sink faucet so she can drink some water. br>We put ice in it every day to keep it cold and to add the needed water.
